Great tips on one of the most difficult aspects of left hand technique. The "snake-bite" used to happen all the time with me, but it's been a while. If it crops up again, I'll take special note of the hand orientation..thanks for pointing that out.
I've got sausage stubs for fingers and my pinky even with proper technique if say index is on 1st fret of drop d, dadgbe tunning; string, my pinky can barely touch 5th fret of g string let alone press down. Not sure what to do aside from improvise when playing and learning classical guitar.
Hi there, My name is Zak and I work with Allen. There are fundamental concepts shared in the Woodshed that you could apply to the electric guitar. Things like left-hand technique, awareness of voicings, and much more.
It happened to me before I wasn't conscious that my pinky was flying most of the time. and that I was using the pad pinky because it wasn't curve. should be a pinky tip.

Hello professor 👋. You help a lot more than you probably know. Hammer on and pull offs
Great video, Allen! Thank you so much.
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you for the video!
Hi, Allen. I think it could be a good idea posting a video about fret buzzes, and how to avoid them.

Now talk about the right hand pinkie finger. Villa-Lobos used it often in his playing and so did several others.
My pinky wants to mimic what my "a" finger does. The exercises on the vid are great.
Any lessons on finger independence?
Hi, can I apply your tutorials on classical guitar on electric guitar?

master this little finger before anything else, or you will have to relearn everything down the track
