Cruising around at golden hour with the Albabird on DJI. Trying to fly it the same way I would on 1.3g, low, through gaps and behind trees! It does so much better than I ever imagined it would, but there are moments where I get bad breakup which just wouldn't happen on 1.3g, but this is expected. The Peanut on a pole is a nice different perspective, however it sometimes gives the impression I'm not very close to the ground when at some points I'm literally clipping the grass 😅

Hi Adam. You have a nice combination of technical build info and cinemagraphic artistry in your videos; I really enjoy watching them. Question if you have a moment: I'm looking for a winter build project. Which did you enjoy building and flying more: Your MFD Crosswind Mini or your AlbaBird?
Hi Jim, thanks for the comment, much appreciated. Regarding the Albabird vs MCW... both builds were enjoyable and actually quite similar in many ways... hard to say if I preferred one over the other. Bigger planes are generally easier to build IMO as it's easier to fit the gear in. Having said that the Alba is a really nice size. In terms of enjoyment from flying, again they are both fun to fly and suit different purposes. My MCW is on analogue and Alba on DJI so the MCW is better for long range flights and also it's on a head tracker which makes for fun flights. It's also better for longer flight times as it's hard to run the battery out within an hour. The downside is it's way heavier and needs more space to land. It also requires the wings to come off for transport. So the Alba is better for me for convenience and for the shorter flights. hope that helps

Thanks Stuwe! It's nowhere near capable of your run down the river but I have to say DJI can cope flying low and behind some trees a lot better than I imagined it would! Have you been tempted to try it yet?
@@AdamGdoesFPV I did try it out this summer yes. But I'm not there yet. still trying to push the limit on analog. IF then I upgrade to COFDM :)

Thanks 😁 Your English is good. The farmer that owns the lands told me that they are holes that were dug a long time ago when people were searching for valuable materials in the ground. There are quite a few quarries in the area so I guess they were hoping to find more. Cheers

Adam, as always, AWESOME video, flying, and music! It looks like you were moving very very fast. How fast? I hope you got all the power poles and wires memorised! (even low fences!)
Thanks Steve, much appreciated. Wasn't flying very fast, cruising at around 80-90km most of the time. I know where a lot of the power lines are but there are many i don't see until late. Although with DJI you can actually see them in time to avoid them which isn't the case with analogue 😅

Not sure how I missed this video......but...fan-freakin-tastic Adam! I have ALWAYS looked forward to your videos. I have a question though, do you flip a switch on your TX to enable the FPV camera to pan and tilt then when you disable it (flip the switch on your TX back) does the FPV camera pan system snap back to the forward facing view on its own? Or do you manually get it back to forward facing before disabling it? If so can you tell me your setup on your TX on how you are doing your pan and tilt?
Thanks 😎 And yes I have a switch configured to enable and disable panning and when I disable it, it snaps back into central position. I think in the mixer where you have your slider or pot to control pan, add a line below on same channel and set a switch position to a weight of 0 (or whatever is central), but also I think you have to set 'Multiplex' option to 'Replace'. If that doesn't make sense let me know I'll double check my Tx

@@EnglishTurbines Never seen any on this hill. Most people want to talk about what I'm doing and enjoy learning. The Alba is a great one for being super quiet and fairly small and I find that means people are way less likely to be bothered by it.

is the peanut good at giving you stable video?
Yes the stabilisation is superb. You can even lock the horizon if you want. Great little camera, does have some down sides too though

Hi, I tend not to discuss the legal stuff on my channel. There are no different rules here. I fly in a way that I believe is safe. Low and not putting people or property in danger. The people that get in trouble are always the ones flying dangerously, too high etc

In one of your videos which I can't seem to find you mixed gorilla glue with something else to use as a filler. What was the other stuff?
Hi, it was the AR Pro maiden video 😃 in the uk it’s referred to as PVA glue, and in USA I believe it’s just called white glue. Super cheap and very common. Cheers
What would be your opinion on top quality live feed pan/tilt camera with zoom? Thinking RC version of spy drone for search and rescue/ real time wildlife surveillance

Believe it or not this is full auto settings and no colour grading. Straight out of the camera 👀

Thanks! Unfortunately no, the printed parts don't fit that one as it's smaller. I think I just used double sided velcro for it.
@@AdamGdoesFPV I would not like to use Velcro. Experience shows that the FC moves minimally with it and that should rather not be. But you have given me an idea, I will try 3M Dual Lock for the attachment. Dual Lock is much stronger than Velcro, that should not give any problems.
