I just bought the D9 forged as well. Tried the T/M 790 and the Titelist 200's , liked the feel of the T 200's but the D9's carried past where the 200's had stopped. Loved the feel and the grouping was amazing. Opted for the factory graphite shafts for the extra $100. Putting the 7 iron on average 163 yards. Can't wait for the better weather to get out on the course. Great video dear and you have a beautiful swing !
I was fitted for the D9 forged. Great clubs. I half on pings, Mizuno‘s, and Taylor made. Forgiveness, feel and tight dispersion.. Wilson grip installation was spot on, mainly for those with OCD. I love my new Wilson irons set, looking to get the driving iron next. The online customization process was simple if you know all your specs. Very impressed with Wilson D9. FYI I also own the Taylor made 2023 p790 but these W D9 are a more forgiving club in my opinion. Great job Wilson USA 🇺🇸.
Wilson makes a great club, wilson was third when I was testing in a fitting. I ended up with the cobra mim but honestly I could've went with any of them.
Great video Rach, I have just been for a custom fit yesterday for the D9 irons, the irons felt great from the start of the session, great distance and great feel and control, i've taken the plunge after two years away from golf and looking forward to getting out playing again.
Interesting video thanks. I've got a very similar swing speed to you and am considering changing my TM M3 irons for the new D9 forged ones. I have a teaching pro that also fits clubs and he's impressed with how the Wilson irons perform so I'm planning on having a fitting very soon!
@@Marc757 well I had a lesson beforehand then the fitting. My pro handed me a 7 iron which I wasn't allowed to look at and said he thought based on his knowledge of my game that this head and shaft combo would be the one to go for. I gained 20 yards with it and around 3 mph in clubhead speed. I tried the Callaway Rogue St, Ping 425, Taylormade 770, Wilson D9 forged and TM Stealth, all with the graphite Recoil Dart shafts and KBS lite reg. For me the standout performer was the TM Stealth head with the Recoil Dart shaft as not only did I gain 20 yds but the dispersion was the best of the bunch too. I'm still getting used to them but very happy with my choice. The D9 forged was no longer than my existing M3 7 iron but the dispersion was slightly better but not as good as the Stealth.
@@Bazza47 Thanks for the reply. I've never had a set of fitted clubs, using a off the shelf set of TM M4 driver, hybrid, irons. Im curious what i'm missing out on with a fitted set with the right stiffness shaft. Plan on getting fitted soon. Does the fit process require buying new clubs?
Nice video ... Thx for showing us. I love wilson ..... I love the looks off the new D9 as well. I tried some other brands as well but I just love wilson. I bouht the irons 3 weeks ago, and the hybrid4 and 3wood last week. Driver and 5wood will be later to get. First I have to find the amazing wilson cap you had on :D. Hard to find wilson cpas here. Thx and enjoy your new clubs. Maybe do a nice course vlog with them just a few holes.
Great video, Rachael! I played Wilson Irons for about 18 years (Fat Shafts and Tour V2). Currently gamings T100. Agree fully on custom fitting. Have you been able to play a round with the new clubs? Fly any greens on "accident"?
I don't agree with your club fitter. You don't swing fast. I don't understand why you are using a steel shaft with your short distances. You have a pretty swing. I would try lighter graphite options.
Do tour pros fit a full iron set from the 7 iron? I really feel they need to start letting players fit from maybe a 4,7 and PW. I'm a fan of combo sets though so maybe being greedy.
We were using a trackman. So everything was tracked and Duncan gave me feedback straight away and showed me what was on his screen. I could also tell with feel whether it was good or bad 😁
you dismissed the CB irons because of distance, head scratcher, it's not supposed to that, the D9 is like a 6 iron in loft compared to the CB, it should go further
Getting fitted for D9s very soon hope they are good, weird seeing someone in Irvine on UA-cam while searching for d9 review videos very close to kilbirnie where I live 🏌️👍
Wilson Staff is the most underrated brand in Golf. The D9s feel amazing. The blades are better than any Titleist or Taylor Made.

I am a beginner golfer, and just ordered D9’s. I’m excited for them to arrive!
Wilson are a great brand, currently rocking the Wilson LP irons. They are fantastic.
Always yes to a custom fit. Great video. Liked the behind the scenes shots, not always seen.
Glad you liked it
I just finished watching you and James Robinson. Looking forward to the back nine. Congrats on new clubs, play well

I was impressed with how they installed the grips with their slick process. I'm looking at the D9 irons and getting fitted next month.
Love watching your videos, always reminds me of home ❤❤
nice one... had my irons custom fit last July...
Just got fitted for the D9's will be in any day now and I am stoked!
How you like them ?
You answered the question of D7 vs D9. Either is a great value but I can use the better distance.
Wow.....I'm first again.....I'm looking at Wilson for my next set
Just got the same clubs I love them
Very Beautiful Swing!
Great video Rachael 👍😊
Thank you ☺️

Amazing swing!
Been wanting to get to Irvine after doing a fitting back in Dec 2019 before lockdown and loving them. Need to sort it out

Definitely not flown any greens on accident. Distance control is great with them ☺️
Great video great clubs!

Cool video
I have D7's and they are pretty consistent and shoot further than most other clubs. No reason to "upgrade".

Nice Video Rach! Could you show us the model Shaft, weight and flexibility please. Tks!! :)
Can the general public get custom fitted here or is it just tour players/pro's?? Thanks
Were the lofts the same as your old irons?
No Tracker or visual from the screen? I don’t think I would cope.. lol. Nice video though.

@@RachMcQueenGolf That makes more sense. You have a great swing follow through and a great tempo.
But those aren’t the forged ones are they?
Were you at Ratho park today
Yes I was 😊 loved it. Full course vlog coming soon
@@RachMcQueenGolf I hope you got me in the picture, I was talking to you at the 15th ,I had the shorts on haha ,take care ,Charlie

My dispersion was also 100x better with the D9s which was the deciding factor. I wanted consistency and distance. The CBs didn’t give me that 🤷🏻♀️
Stronger lofts again giving more distance. Win is much better dispersion.
Same lofts as my D7 irons ☺️ but agree the dispersion is the real win!
@@RachMcQueenGolf there appears to be 1° difference
@@paulmcgee1867 ok 👍 still love my irons and really happy with the added distance.
Just bought these secondhand and will be playing them soon. I already have the D7s in in holiday bag. Good job Wilson
Hi Rachel, are you still using the D9 irons? If so, have they met your expectations? Thanks. Cheers from Texas🤠⛳🏌
Fun and interesting video.
Good stuff.
