    I like to pasteurize my soil. I dont use any peroxide, I will normally use some certified organic copper soap if im having any issues. Normally with pasteurization my seedlings have plenty of time grow before contaminants set in.

    Best way i found out to eliminate fungus, mold, moss, algae etc, is to use coco coir.
    For trichocereus i use about 50/50 coco coir and pumice, since there isnt very much nutrients in this mix i use a little bit of fertilizer. It seems like coco coir acts more like a mineral. Also my seedlings grow a lot faster in coco coir compared to regular peat based or worm castings.

    How old are these seedlings my 1 month old babies are still so small

      you'll notice growth by the 3rd

      These were about a year old at the time of filming I believe.

    you dont want to microwave to sterilize but then you're sterilizing it anyway with peroxide

      I feel personally that it only really affects the surface though with peroxide, all depends on how much you choose to use

      Using Peroxide is not sterilizing soil…

      @@mallachtsplants I appreciate the reply. I always heard about people using peroxide as a disinfectant so it just sounded contradictory, but I see what you're saying now. love all your videos btw!
