Historically, the swamp area from Centre Cut up to the road that went through the then Jackson property to Pear Tree River, was used for rice farming by residents from the surrounding communities. Hotel, factory, private school, farming (no plastic food). Jamaica Broilers could set up plant in the area, wherein contract farmers could supply the company with chicken.
I hear you Topclass but we can’t turn every piece of property into concrete jungle. We need forest wetlands and other ecosystems to maintain our environment.
