bro you are the only one i can truly understand how to do this man thank you so much i just got my x32 and was lost until i found your channel so please keep teaching us this thing you rock
Wow thanks man, I've been trying to get X32 rack but had so many doubt, finally you have cleared many things. Thanks again! Keep sharing tech/complicated things about digital mixer. You are really making difference in our newbies life.
Thank you for being the only person making videos for these applications of a midas, I use a midas in my studio in main in tandem with protools and sadly I spent many hours figuring this out for myself before I found your video lol. I did it just a bit differently though. If you go into your card routing settings and set them to be p16 instead of using your output bank you can essentially run your channels through an imaginary p16 patch post fader and that way your outputs are still available for use!
My questions was for a studio console use only. Imagine you have a midi sequencer running a tr909 or else record into tje daw. With your explanations, i can now playback this tracks and record back them into the daw with my external processing in racks with the inserts points .. right ? Hope so .. Thanks Daniel 😉
If the input of the channel comes from the card you cannot record the processing, if it comes from a cable yes you can. And either way you can record it through the main mix and you'll have the processing in both cases
I thought this video would cover what I’m looking to do, but I don’t think it’s possible. I want to use my x32 as a usb interface to multitrack drums but also simultaneously send some prerecorded tracks (metronome + scratch guitar tracks) from Protools into live channels of the X32 (to build a monitor mix for the drummer). So I guess the question is: can X32 handle overdubs with a DAW? Seems unlikely since the X32’s Card page has that Record/Play toggle button. Either or, not both… Any ideas?
@@danielkharrat well im still learning with it but you know as a person gets older it seems more difficult to indor all the new technology but for now i will cope with it i just think your videos are more helpful and its nice to know your still around to help and your videos are very inserting so keep up the good work and thanks for all you do bro
Ok, but if I would like to recording for example stereo guitar, do I should to link chosen channels in Midas? other thing is signals are comming to Logic really quiet
@@danielkharrat Thank You, but I'm still wondering how to record a stereo track into Logic while others are being played... Either I am making the same mistake somewhere in Midas, or there is a problem in the Logic configuration...
New owner of an M32 of a little over a month. Only for studio use. I'm someplace between mostly lost and completely lost. I gather the input in Pro Tools..DN32-USB is initiated in the I/O of Pro Tools. But how is that done? In the I/O section how does the Midas become an option to install?
I know the DN32 designation has to be in the playback engine field but doesn’t tell me how to get it designated to appear in the edit window in the individual tracks as shown in this video.
@dalestandard1095 you have to go to the i/o page and delete whatever is there and click default then okay And you'll be able to assign these inputs and outputs on the tracks
If the compressor is before the eq then yes both gate and comp will take effect, if the comp is after the eq then only the gate will take effect You can check the order on the home page of the channel
I don’t like the work a round one but it’s really limited and I’m now depressed coming from a Allen heath 16 it worked all together he talked me into a downgrade

I'm happy to hear that 🙏🏻
I have been looking for this explanation for months. You really know how to handle this boards routing. Thank you. More videos please :)
Been struggling with this for a week and now just watched this video. Thanks Daniel

yes its possible me and my fellow engineer figured it out last week
hay daniel are you going to make more videos i hope so thay are so helpful
I have some things i can talk about but I'm not sure it would be interesting enough for a video. Is there anything in particular you wanna know about?

If the signal in logic is quiet your preamp gain on the mixer is too low

Cool. Makes sense. THANK YOU!
On point !!! Great video
what daw software are you using? fl studio doesn’t take multitrack wav and reaper keeps closing on me
protools
