I'm a bit kicking myself for letting a good deal on these pass me by, but still got heaps of wear left in plenty of trail shoes so I felt too guilty!! Btw Lee, I've been making a point of really training running downhills since your video, you made me really think about just how many guys absolutely blasted past me on the super steep bits in my last race, and it's made me realise how much I don't like my North Face Vectiv Eminus running down the steep bits either ... so yeah gonna continue working on that and also find which shoes work best for me under that kind of pressure!! Thanks Lee!!
love my speedgoat 5's for both off road running and walking (not bad in snow during winter too) , the only other shoe I would be interested (when mine wear down) is the Tomir from NNormal
top review, thanks for that! Going to swap them tomorrow for the altra timp 4's i bought today which feel amazing but then the reviews say they're not durable 🙈
Just bringing my speedgoat 4's up to the 400mile mark and the midsole still feels great but there's a few holes appearing in the upper, alongside these I have the Hoka Tecton X 2, Asics Fujispeed (lighter for shorter faster trail runs) and a pair of Asics Trabuco Max. Hoka by far are my favourite trail shoes having a look at the Zinal 2's 😍😍😍
I also bought the xtr 6 to break up the Mileage and not wear them out to quick. Il be happy of I can hit 400 miles that would be like 35p per mile which isn't too bad.
Is there something called trail shoes with stability, just like the normal road running shoes? And how are the speedgoat 5? Stability, cushioned? What is a good hoka stability shoes?
There is Stability shoes. I find brooks and ascis have the most options for you. Always get a gait analysis done the hoka I would class as nuetral shoes
If I'm honest buddy I'm not into all the statistics as I don't think they play a part in bow I decide if I like a shoe. Does it make my feet hurt? How long will they last? What runs can I do in them That's about it. Cheers for watching. 🫡
Just retired a pair of 5’s at 460 miles. No rips, outsole was still in good shape, midsole was just starting to feel a little dead. I had another pair in the closet, so it was easy to retire them. I bet I could have gotten another hundred miles. I wear them now to chase my daughter around the XC course.
My speedboat 4s have done 870km and are starting to tear on top and the sole is starting to flake away. My 5s (which got me around MdS) have done 390km, again the soles are starting to flake but the tops are fine. They are very comfortable and bouncy. Good for ultras but for marathon distance I prefer my ASIC Fuji trabuco. That said if I'm on sportshoes and they were on sale i wouldn't not buy them again.
Glad to hear the distance on these. Because to me hoka have always been know for lack of durability. I had to take my rincon 3 back because of the wear after a few runs and it hurt in the midsole. These feel great from the off
They are brilliant shoes. You can rely on them on mud, water, gravel….just one warning. If you run in the rain (or shortly after) beware of running on road after a muddy trail. I’ve got 7 stitches on my face as a reminder. SG are good…not for everything
I own a set of speedboat 2’s that I’ve owned for a couple years the only reason I quit wearing them is because I wore a hole in the top of them from my damn pinky toe 😂
@@leerunsultras yeah I replaced them with a pair of ASICS Fuji Lite 3 which are much more practical for me and the amount I spend running in the road vs trails
just bought my first pair of hokas mate. clifton 9. loving them
I had the rincon 3 had to take them back, probably best for 10k
Love my 4’s. Half size up and wide fit makes them comfy as can be!
Good job I done some research before 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@leerunsultras what about cold weather/winter, what u recommend?

Ah I'm sure they will come back on sale at some point. Glad the downhill is working for ypu too

@@leerunsultras Thanks. I’ve already had gait analysis and I need stability shoes.

Great Video 👍 I’ve got 2 miles of road to get to my trails. Would these be good for the road section too?

Both of mine are wide fits, and have plenty of room.

Thanks for the video! don't suppose you know what colour way those ones were?
Not sure mate, orange and green I think. I'm useless with the technical side of trainers. 🤣
ok. I have van envy for starters!!! Did you do the build yourself or did you buy it as is? Hoka's are great. Nuff said.
Wibran taban
Altı sert ayakkabı
Bunun yerine koşu ayakkabısı aldım
That doesn't take sense when I translate it
