- As part of our "Hidden Feature" series, Jarrad VK3BL shows off a menu item that only appears when Digi-Select is turned on.
He explains what it does, and when to use it; information that will surely be of value to those who live near by strong signals, or participate in contests :)

PS, please tell us what you think of the audio in this video. We were using a Heil PR-40 with a Wind Shield connected to a Yamaha Mixer.
Highs were left alone, Mids were increased, Bass was rolled off. We had to run the Yamaha's gain quite high, so we're not sure whether its getting the most out of the Heil. Luckily we have a DBX 286S Mic Preamp & Processor Strip, but we're waiting on some XLR Cables and some way of keeping all the gear neat!
Anyway, please us know how you found the audio... after all, you're the audience and we're doing it for you :)

I wish the volume of the audio was higher. I have everything turned to max on my PC and still have trouble hearing the words spoken in this video.
You should make you demos with actual situations. For example tune to a station that has a strong adjacent radio station etc.. and show the improvement in receive on the lower power signal when tracking preselector is used. Unless of course you dont notice any improvement lol :) which would kind of defeat the purposes of showcasing it at all in such a real world scenario.
The actual improvement isn’t well showcased in VK, especially my QTH. I am not near any high power SW transmitters, which is its best use case. That said, you can clearly see the Q of the preselector in the videos by looking at the scope, which should give those in specific need of such a feature an idea of its performance.
That is not a "hidden" feature! It's just a regular feature which is fully documented in the manual.
