Brings back memories. This was the first Mech you get in Mechwarrior 2, Mercenaries. With the way the enemies were set up, you needed some long range options. So, I dropped the 6 pack, and added a LRM 5, and another medium laser. Worked like a charm.
Hits just hard enough, and is just annoying enough to not be ignored. But fast enough it can still move around the battlefield. It’s slow for a light. But has better armor. Most lights evaporate when they get hit. This one can at least survive long enough usually, to disengage and run like it’s hair was on fire. It’s a good anchor for a light lance. And has enough range to support it’s faster lancemates. Even if it’s a flea bite. A flea bite on a light can still be lethal. So there’s that. But it absolutely isn’t designed to swing out of its weight class.
My favorite varient was one in mechwarrior five that although it had I think only an SRM 6 and a medium laser it had a supercharger which made it super fun to zip around and out of enemy fire then backstabbing the enemy
Wonder what would chaos dwarves make if they were part of battletech universe? They would have made this little devil and gleefully ruin your day with it...
Wish you would do more in depth videos on battletech factions, events, units and the people as the battletech universe is a very rich universe that is rarely talked about outside the mechs. Battlemech videos are cool but they are about 90% of all battletech lore videos out there
I'll eventually get to that as there isn't an infinite amount mech variants out there :) Not to sound greedy but I switched to mech videos in the first place because my first Battletech videos were getting like 1/3 of the views the mechs get.
In Mechwarrior 5 I couldnt stop laughing when I saw one of these hauling ass as I was entering a city luckily I killed it with a headshot and added it to my team

COM-1C with its AC-2.
_It was a stand-up kind of mech, sure to lighten any battlefield._
‘You said you would kill me last?’ ‘I lied’
"Excuse me...don't disturb my friend. He's dead tired."
“Let off some steam.” Lol This thread has serious potential.

My favorite mech!! Love this thing in mwo.. 3 medium lazers and a srm6 do work
Q: What is small, fast, annoying and sprays SRMs like a crack-addled gangbanger with a MAC-10?
A: The commando.
I remember these in the boxed set Pursuit Lance...Phoenix Hawk, two Commandos, and a Jenner. Good times....good times.
I have long respected this Mech as a Scout Hunter.
This is a really good choice for a Hit-and-Run Raider.
Keep up the good work, GDN!!!
Thanks!
This mech was/ is one of my favorites!
Fuck yes the commando, this mech is tough af
A lot of firepower for 25 tons. Paired with a Shadowhawk I have had good luck preventing light mech infiltration on my flanks.
Loving it in MW5, its a fast little mech
We're goin' commando today, cool!
I love my shotgun with legs
~runs around screaming in joy~
To be honest, the Commando seems like the baby brother of the Atlas
Or the sheltered nephew :D
@@GrimDarkNarrator Nah😜
That's the Urbie
@@Knight_Of_The_Blood_Moon the urbie is the legitimate son of the atlas. That’s why urbie will call atlas dad.

the Commando looks like the Battle Bots from the Movie Ice Pirates
Can you do a video on the Jenner battlemech???
That's a good suggestion. I'll add it to the next poll.
Can you do the Enforcer design?
I'll add it to the polls list.
What weight is the IIC model?
The IIC is still a 25 tonner.
Yup, still a 25 tons one.
Honestly, you really don't sound either Grim, or Dark. Cheers!
