This episode is going to be the debut of a Battletech side-series where I talk about individual battlemechs per episode. Today we are covering a rather famous model in the heavy Marauder. Enjoy!!!

The MADs have always been my favorite mechs. Besides being a Zentraedi officer pod, it just says "mean killing machine".
Freaking hits like an assault, tanks almost like an assault.
I played BattleTech with some friends years ago. We all had our own mercenary unit and fought our campaigns. After reading the first books, I just had to start with a Marauder as my commanders Mech. Not the best Idea in a 3055+ battle environment. My first Battle was a 4 vs 1.
Marauder
Jenner
Locust (the standard variant)
Locust (4 small lasers variant)
versus a Single Devastator.
I won, but only just. The Marauder was killed in the fist turn. 2 Gauss hits, ammo explosion, gone 😅
Luckily I could get behind the Devastator with all my light Mechs and was able to kill it, but only a crippled Jenner and one Locust survived.
After that, the Marauder lost its reputation for me.
Luckily, I had good salvage rights.
I bought an Awesome, equipped it with One ER PPC and a Gauss Rifle that were left from the Devastator. It proved to be a better commanders Mech 😬
marauder is good, but it works better as a sniper. heavy gauss, pack bigger engine, use leftover space for some ER med and stack up on armor. shoot, get to cover, shoot.
My favorite mech since forever. They were the first mechs I ever painted. In the Harebrained Schemes Battletech game they’re absolutely lethal with a maxed out sharpshooter skilled pilot. That and the command module gives each weapon a _35% chance to hit a mech’s head on a called shot._ This means if I get two called shots per turn I’m virtually guaranteed to kill an enemy mech per turn. It’s possible to get up to 4. The only downside is they run a little hot with large lasers and nearly impossibly hot with PPCs unless you sacrifice serious armor for more heat sinks. But with max jump jets it’s easy to hop away and harass with auto cannons (I like LBX-2s) while it cools. An alternative is just to stack one with medium lasers, machine guns and max armor instead of heavy beam weapons. It makes a decent close/medium range slugger with max armor.
Thanks for the input.
Marauder that I personally liked using: Replace the PPC guns with 2 large lasers, near maxed out the armor, 2 machine guns with a ton of ammo and give the thing jump jets. Sure it lost punching power, but boy was it able to handle itself far better on the front lines.
I have been a marauder fan man ever since the 80's. I even had one painted up as a zendradi officers battle pid
That''s true dedication!
I personally am more in favor of the King Crab, but I can see why you like the Marauder nonetheless.
Who doesn't love the Marauder? I have an old, lead-casting Unseen I purchased in the 1990s. I had to replace it's top-mounted gun with an old 40K IG lasgun. It's now part of my Wolf's Dragoons Zeta Battalion company. I have a new Catalyst plastic Marader that's going to be painted for the classic Black Widow Company Command Lance.
Honestly if anyone finds big stompy robots being talked about boring, I am saddened because the Battletech universe is so damned rich and fleshed out.
Best mech I ever designed was based on the Marauder. 2 gauss and an er ppc. With double heat sinks it literally couldn't overheat
I preferred mediums loaded with boatloads of medium lasers, a decently large engine and single heat sinks when playing for C-Bills. Even playing by points the medium laser pigs were very economical and fought way above their mass. And when playing for weight this was somewhere in between both scales. Assassins were usually the starting bases.
My fav playing early BT was a cqc machine.. ac20 and SRM6s in each hands with a pair of med lasers for backup
Good to see some BattleTech love again ;]
The Timber Wolf of the Inner Sphere, it is a wonderful examplar of everything a heavy mech should be. It is aesthetically pleasing as well.
Definitely in my top 10.
The Marauder was built correctly. I love all of the avianic battlemechs. This unit looks like it would deflect most frontal machine gun fire. You've really got to hit these with ballistics and lazers.
When I played Mechwarrior I had an M variant without the AC5, replaced with a Holly SRM4. That was like 30+ years ago I think... was a great in- fighter., when I played mech warrior with friends, the Clan stuff hadn’t happened in the books. I can’t believe I can remember this after all this time.
We always remember great moments that were meaningful to us :)
More of these videos please! I'd be happy and eager to watch your videos about battletech lore on individual mechs and their variants.
They're coming on a weekly basis :)
The marauder was always my favorite.
Good video! BattleTech is probably my favourite SyFy RPG.
Ran into a later era Marauder recently that had plasma weapons and I'm trying to figure out if it's a numbered model or a custom loadout... The thing was a beast and I want one for myself.
Suggestion: You could try talking about famous people who drove variants of the mech when applicable, for example on this video you could’ve talked about the Bounty Hunter who got special variants made after them.
I will do a variation on that in the future, if lore on these people is available. I added a bit of this in the next episode.
Man I love the marauder
Everyone does :D
FYI... the 'mech shown at 2:59 is the Assault class version of the Marauder.... the Marauder II. It's got warms and fuzzies :) I do like the multiple variants you're mentioning.... well done good sir!!!
Thanks for watching :)
Great video Grim, Like the format & not spec heavy...Great job.
Thanks for the input :)
I pictured a Neimoidian presenting this
A neimoidian would already be rich so he would be doing it only as a hobby :D
This Mecha say Macross loud really loud
That's because it is from Macross.
@@warrmalaski8570 kid you don't get what is a sarcasm hum
The artist who came up with the mechs sold the license to both companies an then the Sh#t hit the fan ...if my memory serves me
Can you run footage of game play with appropriate mech? That could be asking way too much, I know.
I'll consider it for the future, though I don't know if I can literally do it. I assume you're thinking of the MechWarrior Online game? Never really played that but I thought you have to unlock the mechs through play and payment.
@@GrimDarkNarrator click on a mech in the store, then click view in mechlab, then there is a button to test out the mech.
Liked the presentation. Thanks for the vid sir.
Thanks for watching.

I'll add it to future possibilities.
Good video!
Thanks.
@@GrimDarkNarrator Wow you replied! Love your whole series and everything, learned so much! On my way to becoming a real MechWarrior because of you! :D
i love this mech because is the black widow mech...
Is, then was, the bounty Hunter picked it up and Duke Rikol had it as well as col Carlisle
Natascha Kerensky piloted a Warhammer.
Grayson from the GDL had a Marauder a long time.
The black widow had one of these first early in her time in the inersphere. The bounty Hunter took it from her and let her for dead. She ran Warhammer after that. He was the only one to ever beat her one on one and he drove it from them on in his cash green paint from then on
Was her first heavy. Then Bounty Hunter stole it ans she mived to a WHM 6R Warhammer.
You have a lot of courage to do this, and I have a *lot* of respect for that. Battletech is a niche franchise, and its lore is not as mainstream as some of the other science fictions out there. However, my biggist criticism of your work has to be the downright plagiarism of Sarna.net. Seriously, you just read straight off of the wiki article. I could read your entire script as you were talking.
I can't fault you *too* much, because other Battletech 'lore' channels do this, also. But it does strike me as devilishly lazy.
It can definitely be considered lazy. However, since i do this on a daily basis, its the only way I can maintain my output. Also, you may or may not know this, but making and proofing the script is only about 20% of the video making process. Could I make videos just based on that knowledge and write an entire script from scratch ? Yes. But only If I were making 1-2 videos like that per week at the most. I respect your opinion though, and I'm aware there's better lore channels around who maybe have the time to put more energy and originality in their videos :)
Yeeeesssss
Mr Grimdarkness: I feel like the best way to go would be to focus less on the VERY dry technical stuff or even drop it completely in place of either a shorter video or famous pilots/mecha.
Thanks for the input. Thing is, those aspects are the meat of it. Wouldn't be able to make the dreaded 10 minute mark otherwise, even though I would have no issues doing it that way either.
might be better to quickly summarise general national preferences and then mention notable pilots rather than describing variants in this level of detail.
Thanks for the input.
GrimDark Narrator I agree. The lore is more interesting and relevant, especially since the armaments are so easily accessed from places like Sarna.net.
Noice, kawaii heavy Mechu. Me want one, make it two.
::raughs in T'au::
Unfortunately, this is one of the prohibited mech: Stinger, Wasp, Valkyrie, Phoenix Hawk, Scorpion, Rifleman, Crusader, Archer, Warhammer, Marauder, Goliath,Ostroc,Ostsol,Ostscout
Actually the Unseen/Reseen headaches have been cleared up, to an extent.
Back in 2016, Catalyst Game Labs (CGL)(current tabletop liciencee) started a new design retcon project called Classic. This was to update the designs of the 3025 era Mechs, namely the Unseen/Reseen.
The first units worked up were mainly the Macross-inspired Unseen. Of course within several months of this, the dreaded trolls of Harmony Gold dragged CGL into their litigation against PGI and Hairbrained Scheams over their upcoming PC game. Needless to say, CGL shifted to working up other Unseen/Reseen Mechs instead. Going with the Dougram & Crushed Joe based units.
By the late Spring of 2018, HG folded their legal stupidity and all of the Unseen/Reseen are in the process of being Classic-fied.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The proper term for it in Japan is Glaug, commander type tactical pod.

@@GrimDarkNarrator Haha. I believe you. So what is it if I might be so bold?
Marauder always bring back memories of the 1st time reading Thunder Rift, Merc. Star, Price of Glory, all the adventures of Grayson and the gang.
True, that's what I usually think about when regarding the Marauder.
Thunder Rift also was mine start into battletech. xD
But the Board Game never was my thing. I liked the Mechwarrior and Mech Commander PC Games and also the new Battletech Game.
AND I can't wait to play the new Mechwarrior Game that comes this Years September! xD
I played BattleTech from early on and bought and read Decision at Thunder Rift when it came out. And of all the books, the Grey Death books are my favorites, rereading them evry now and then.
@@Echowhiskeyone They definitely do read like some old school military space adventures.
For me as well. I love the Gray Death Legion still to this day.
The Maurader has one opponent that could always remove it from the battlefield: Harmony Gold's lawyers.
Those are the bane of any mech.
Not this time...Harmony Gold got told by the courts to f-off in that lawsuit in 2018.

@@ranekeisenkralle8265 the KC is awesome...but back in the day when we played as soon as the AC 20's ran out the enemy would swarm you so you'd better stick with a good heavy/medium for wingman support or only go toe to toe with another assault then retire off the map and let your lance clean things up.
Nice Zentradi Officer Battlepod :-p
Multiple people are saying this, lol.
The story behind it was that the people who were creating the macross or robotech anime hired the same artist that the guys from battletech and MechWarrior were using for their mechs. so the guy thought hay I can make a quick buck by takeing this already created mech from this one series I made it for and I can just put it in another series as well. short and simple the aritist was trying to cut corners to shorten his work load. you will also get the same reaction for the tomahawk as well to. also awesome video would like to see more. awesome work and I wish you luck on current and future projects.@@GrimDarkNarrator
Its called a Glaug and it was designed by the same person who designed the merauder.
@@cmndrwolf291 other way around.
@@cmndrwolf291 Don't know who cooked up that story, never seen any sign of FASA hiring anyone from Tatsunoko.
I fell in love with this 'Mech the moment I saw it. It just looks balanced, mean, and plain aggressive as hell. It doesn't even look like it can turn around to run away. There are so many variants of the MAD and every one of them hits like an assault while being able to move like a lot of 55-ton mediums without dying the second they get hit by a real assault.
It's true. It's a Battlemech poster boy for a reason. Up there with the Atlas :)
Im guessing the Maurauder was the Mad Cat before the Mad Cat existed. In terms of an all around powerful, sturdy, fast and agile, well rounded mech that when piloted right and can deal with any other mech
Without any doubt, one of the sexiest of them all. The Marauder2 and the Mad 2c models are extremely powerful.and just plain sexy as hell.
The Marauder has been the terror of the battlefield since the tabletop came out. And knowing how much you like the GDL I approve your choice! This and the Crusader were the first heavies introduced in the fluff. Love the format! Keep up the good work!
Yea in 1989
Thanks.
I love both the marauder and the marauder II. Keep up the good work.
@@robertpalumbo9089
Do you mean1986?
The first Battletech rulebook was copyrighted in 1985, IIRC, but I'm pretty sure it didn't have the Marauder (there was only one class AC, which became the AC/10). I don't remember if Citytech, 1986, had the marauder, but it was certainly in Technical Readout 2025. I think my copy is in a storage shed, I don't remember the Copyright date, but I do know that some of the art inside was dated 1986.
The frs Mechwarror PC game came out in 1989 or 1990... I'm leaning toward 1989 without looking it up. I'm pretty sure it didn't have a Marauder. The Battlemaster was the big boy in that game. I think this is about when FASA and Harmony Gold were having one of their spats, the Battlemaster was yet to be "banned" as one of the "Original 14," or "The Unseen." but it wouldn't be long.
The first heavy mech in print, and in the original box set as well, this big ol f##k your couch machine has had some if the biggest names ever in the hot seat at some point! The widow, rickol, bounty Hunter, lord Glengarry... And many more. Even more than 30 years later a 3025 tech marauder will give new tech a run. This thing is to be respected in any configuration. Even Lio couldn't screw it up to bad. It would end up with a 100 ton assault version and after 300 years it was so successful that the follow on mechs that were planned by the Star league would eventually get made. We are talking a total of 5 machines and none of them were slouches by any means, but this is their daddy and where it all began. It's age must mean obsolete but it survived FASA, wizards, Wizkid and Harmony gold and is getting a new sculpt and it made it through the succession wars, 3039, clans, civil war, the jihad and survived in the dark age. Very pretty and very potent. Any game that you play that has one, keep your eye on the birdie, it's the hammer out the distraction and in both cases it's distruction incarnate. I don't run it against my brother, he kills it with fire, if he sees it he knows something is up. Respectfully I hate facing one and I love running one. It's one of very few things that matches the fluf AND the table top in the whole universe, it shows up and things hurt badly, even slanesh keeps away from these! Good luck MechWarrior! Get one salvage or run! Haha DOC out!
Thanks for sharing the experience :)
The 3R is absolute junk. Ammo bomb in the LT, soft armor, weak brackets with poor heat management. All bark, no bite. Give me a THUD any day!
You seem to have a very good knowledge base when it comes to Battletech/Mechwarrior so I was wondering, do you know anything about the clan heavy Deimos? Was it just made for Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries (in a patch, the original game didn't have it) or a is it an actual clan omnimech?
@@cliffcampbell8827 its kind of an odd spot. Super heavies arent tournament legal last i heard. But they do exist. Im not sure if they retconned them yet or not, but rules to play them is available. As for the games, i belive everything but mech commander is becoming cannon.
@@paulhuston9991 The Deimos I'm thinking of was an 85 ton mech, not a super heavy. The best way I can describe it would be: a king crab body and legs, timberwold missile racks and the arms were three long barrels. It was in one of the mektek patches for Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries (free download only).
BLESSINGS FROM THE OMNISSIAH, WE HAVE THE MARAUDER!!!!!!!!!!!
Shhhhh its technically a Xenos design.
@@barrybend7189 God for a second I wanted to say "its not' but then I remembered its from Macross and I got a mental punch to the gut
If their is ever a chance to grab a Marauder, i am all over it.
Got a Marauder in MW 5 that I picked up in a shop early on,thing was missing both arms, and all torsos were beat to hell. Rebuilt the thing with Large lasers instead of PPCs, a heavy rifle instead of the AC-5 and kept replacing the single heat sinks for doubles any time I got one. Nailed so many hits from such extreme ranges that I was crippling mechs and popping tanks before most long range weapons would start flying. Nasty headshot machine too. Heat management isn't bad as well but still don't know how 48 rounds of ammo for the big gun fits on it but the tonnage somehow checks out. Still love taking it out to wreck Dracs.
omg more battletech lore! thank you for helping get this underapreciated franchise out there.
No problem.
LORE FOR THE LORE GOD! MAILS FOR HIS INBOX!
Hey GDN, been 2 yrs since you made this vid,but I've watched it at least 3 times now. Love Mechwarrior and Battletech lore so it's always nice to go back and relearn or even find out something new about the mechs and world of BT/MW. Keep up the good work my dude and do be careful not to burn yourself out trying to do too much man. Take care.
Thanks for the rewatches :)
I'm starting in the first video, so I don't know how you adapt the feedback in future videos, but here are the things I'd be interested in knowing (presuming the information is available).
- Famous battles where this Mech did a thing.
- Famous pilots who did a thing in this Mech.
- Which faction uses this Mech extensively.
I'm surprised it wasn't mention that this Mech is one of the so-called "Unseen" even if briefly unless I completely missed that. I was listening to this while cleaning up my house.
Found your channel after Arch Warhammer got removed from UA-cam, but now that I know you have a BattleTech section, I'll be staying even after the presumed return of Arch.
Thanks. In future mech videos I do mention some famous pilots. Not a lot, but i did it on some designs. I also mention the faction and maybe a battle or two. Not regularly but it definitely is there in some episodes.
Wow, this video has a perfect SEO score 100/100 according to my add-on. The video actually ranks #1 on the tags "marauder heavy mech" and "battletech marauder".
That's actually quite surprising. I wouldn't reckon my videos being #1 at anything, lol.
Nice... I never had thought that BattleTech, my game of choice of the last 30 years, would see that kind of love on the Internet. :)
It isn't much, but I hope to keep delivering once a week.
I’m probably the only one who prefers the modernized unseen look, like in the 2021 April Fools TRO, over the original unseen look. Some of the reseen lols are good too.
Marauder, Warhammer and Orion are my favorite mechs. Talking about then over and over never bored me. Nice job with the lore explanation. Thanks
You're welcome.
I cant think of BattleTech and Robotech without seeing the Marauder. A perfect mech enhancing any combat role it plays a part in. Like the Warhammer seeing it on the battlefield raised all threat levels to red. Only a totally reckless fool could fail in a Marauder without dealing out some serious damage. Am keeping my fingers crossed it will be one of the Unseen that make a return in HBS BattleTech video game.
Thank you GrimDark Narrator for such fabulous technical tenacity of lore :)
Kudos to the Sarna writers, but thanks anyway.
I love the marauder mech! Big fan since…forever!
Marauder is a mech that will never not be my favourite, always one in my lance if I can help it.
Just wondering though, why go with the Marauder IIC Clan Assault mech for your thumbnail instead of the IS heavy mech?
Just artistic preference I guess. I wanted something that looked "modern" and relatively higher resolution.
It's definitely one of the best looking mechs. Not sure I liked moving the dorsal cannon to the side though...
Originally the marauder was glaug battle pod from robotech/macross with the weapon load is similar two guns in the t rex arms and a larger long range cannon on the top
...The Marauder variant I used in the pre-3050 years replaced the AC/5 with an LRM-10 rack, making it more effective in fire support (especially since it now had indirect fire capability), & added a Flamer for anti-infantry work. 2 extra heat sinks gave it better battlefield endurance as well.
The F16 of the Inner Sphere
The Marauder is a fine machine. You might mention that it was, as many folks have pointed out, part of the Harmony Gold/FASA (and later publishers) images that were contested, and thus could not be pictured for some time, leading to the "Unseen" era that most of us old-timers hated. Perhaps a better way of doing things would be to list the original configuration, along with, perhaps, any star league upgrade listed, then just mention that it had numerous upgrades when new technology became available. The lore of the machine, if there is much, is to be mentioned, including famed pilots and whether the machine was favored or not. When you get to machines like the Banshee you can certainly mention some of the alterations made to try and make the machine more usable, but if you are a lore speaker then sticking to the stories and lore will serve you better I think. My .02 c-bills on the subject :)
Thank you for the share :)
Enjoyable vid. Thanks for putting these together!
Thanks for watching!
kinda gives fear the bow tie a whole new meaning
Very enjoyable. The maurader is my favorite mech, only out done by it's bigger varients the maurader II and IIc. One suggestion is to note the more notable or famous mechwarriors of the machines. Otherwise a very enjoyable watch.
I'll definitely mention some famous mech warriors when the info is available.
This design is an absolute rip off from macros universe... there was this Zentradi commander Quamzin Kravshera who piloted this unique walker and that walker was exactly a Marauder design... I mean... Marauder was exactly that design... you know how it works... it's not their first time...
Never had one of these, but you can see it's influence in the designs of oh so many mechs. The Matar and it's successor the Stone Rhino, the Timberwolf and its knock off the Rakshasa, Night star, Cauldron Born, Bushwhacker, just to name a few. It is unfortunately one of the unseen and of the unseen the only one I got was an Archer, which I had a bit of fun with but that's a different story involving a different mech.
The 3D is my personal favorite Marauder. I never understood the logic behind the 5D. The 3D was intended to remove the Marauder's need for ammo. So why would they add a missile launcher when created an upgraded version of the 3D concept? I get a 5D I remove the missile launcher asap either for extra heat sinks, extra armor, or a mix.
Kudos to Grayson Carlile and Duke Ricol for spreading the information from those data cores.
I have loved the Marauder all the way back to MW2, technically Robotech. Its new look reminds me of something out of Metal Gear.
i built a pretty good Marauder in the Battletech video game; 2 LB-2X's, 2 Large Lasers, 2 Medium lasers. It was fun.;)
I'm loving this playlist ^_^ Thank you GDN~ I'd like to suggest you include more lore stories with regards to the mech being discussed~ Thank you again, for the relaxing and thorough presentation~~
Thanks. I actually do hold out major campaigns and such for their own videos.
Your audio format is great. It would be nice to have visual lists of the parts and components when going over variants.
You could use the free Mechwarrior Online game to better visualize the different variants and loadouts. The game don't contain all variants but one can easily modify with the integrated mech lab.
I thought about that, but I don't know if you can actually play as those mechs or even mess around with the loadouts unless you actually own the mechs ingame.
@@GrimDarkNarrator You can mess around with their loadout in the mech shop by clicking on the "view in mechlab" button. And sometimes you can drive some of them around as trail mechs. If you want to go the extra detailed road you could also use the Mechwarrior 4 Mektek version that contains much more Mechs and weapons. The Mektek version used to be free abandon ware and there are still links to it here www.reddit.com/r/mechwarrior/comments/7y3twy/how_to_run_all_mechwarrior_4_games_on_windows_10/ although there might be complications with running this game on modern systems...
That's great to know. Thanks!

Robert thers more lore comming out. With new novels sourcebook and the like. Look up Shaterd Fortress
New lore coming out battltech franchise has caught a second wind with the success of battletech PC game, MWO and later this year mechwarrior 5. The tabletop and lore inc novels has beneifited from this success.
The universe was kinda dead in the water for many years. But it does appear to be getting a little revitalization with the newer games coming out.

My bad.
@@GrimDarkNarrator no problem man, it's barely noticable aniways. Keepbup the great work
3:35 You mentioned the Gunslinger Program, but by omitting what that was about - and what became of many of the graduates you failed to hammer home the point of how capable the mech really is.
For those interested, here are a few examples
For one there is Aaron DeChevalier, General in the SLDF and right hand of Alexander Kerensky throughout the Amaris Civil War and the Exodus.
More importantly, however, each and every mech pilot of the Royal Black Watch - the famed bodyguards of the Cameron family - which explains why they caused Stefan Amaris such a massive headache that he had to resort to throwing nukes at them and his own troops engaged with the Black Watch. And even then some of them survived.
Thanks for the share. This was more of a prototype video so I omitted some things, unfortunately.
My favorite in the 1980s
In the PC game, BattleTech, I like to pull the 2 med lasers and upgrade the AC5 to an Ultra AC5. This reduces the total damage output by 5, but increases long range damage by about 30%. Also, I like to upgrade the PPC's to ER variants, and replace the heatsinks with Double to help with heat management. This loadout makes it a great sniper(in my opinion).
Thanks for sharing.
Good Presentation. Maybe you can use the Mechwarrior Online Mechs to Convey images and also the loadout in the mech lab tab. I'm not sure just how accurate they are to Table Top stats but you don't have to buy anything as you have access to view Mechs you don't own in the mech lab. Im not sure if this will add much editing to your videos but it's a thought. I certainly enjoy the artwork with your videos.
Yeah this was my first mech video, I think. Afterwards, I've used Mechwarrior Online a lot for the versions of each mech.
Around 3:25 that is a maruader 2
I enjoy this, please do more
I enjoy the history of it all
Wow graysons mech...nice to have a deep dive into it. Format is not boring. It was informative and nice to hear technical details.
Thank you.
please do the war hammer because the war hammer marauder combo is killer on the field of combat
Warhammer is gonna be next, as voted in my poll.
2:45 for anyone that wants to skip the tapdancing away from his Warhammer 40k audience.
I think it was my very first battlemech video.
Pride of the star league.
When you have time please do one about famous mechwarriors pilots Thankyou
I did narrate about many mechwarriors in some mech videos.
Battlemaster or Warhammer next please!
Doing the Shadow Hawk but I'll make a poll after that.
Pretty good video Grimdark I did not find it boring at all, it was interesting hearing about the Maruder as I have not seen it before. I also don't think I have seen it in my BattleTech playthrough as yet. The art work for the 5L version looks a bit like the Griffon medium Mech. One bit of feedback I would give is if you can find it maybe add some famous fighting it has done or is known for as you have done in past videos on other subjects. great work as always keep it up!
Trust me, you will want one as much as you will fear them. This design is an icon up there with the Atlas! It's a huge hurty gun toting screw your couch mech. It was literally the very first heavy mech seen in novels. I have an original and even today new and old players alike respect it.
Thanks. I'm glad you didn't find it boring. Sadly, the Marauder does not exist in the newer Battletech game to my knowledge. I think it has to do with legal rights not being granted for certain mech models.
It survived the Harmony gold law suit. I believe it made it into flash point. It's got a new mini coming as well that actually looks like it should. I'm in agreement about notable warriors and fluff at the end of a video though.
Sweet!
