I think they did this because some deaths in Until Dawn were so specific and ridiculous that barely anybody saw them. For example hardly anyone knows Emily can fall into a woodchipper.
So this game has more "variety" than until dawn and is much less linear, which means this game should more replayability. I think that was what the devs were going for, but they sacrificed a lot of narrative in the process. It feels like they spent so much time on creating all these possible paths and weaving them all together that they didn't have time to write a great story and great horror. Instead we get a predictable story with a stupid amount of jump scares. Which paradoxically results in this game having low replayability; people don't want to replay a bad game.
Wow, I didn't realise that most scenes can be done with completely different people! I guess they had to do it that way just in case someone dies earlier on. But I was wondering, in this video it shows Alex vs Olson, and then the rat comes out and he kills himself etc; but in the playthrough I just watched, it was the two headed monster that ended up being Julia. Was it because the person who did the playthrough looked into the coffin with the two headed skeleton? Or is it because Julia wouldn't be able to pass for Olson because she's a girl?
brad died in my "pass the controller" playthrough or whatever it's called (where each person picks which characters they play) and his death doesn't match any of the scenarios in this or on the wiki. it looked like he fell but all the falling scenarios for him never happened. there's a lot of gaps in the co-op i guess.
For those who wonder, i would actually compare this to Heavy rain deaths because even with all violent deaths there was not that much blood even during the warehouse and still were brutal :) so yeah maybe Heavy Rain pace is more of comparison
So this is why all the deaths are so... generic. And I mean.. look, I didn't look this up because I wanted gore or anything, but something was off with these deaths in youtuber playthroughs (I watched Jacksepticeye's). From a studio that made Until Dawn, I did expect more "creativity" or "variety", if you will. And now I find out why they aren't: each occuring death scene is scripted with sample models (except really character specific ones like Julia's decompressing sickness), so they just copy paste the characters' model in the sample's place. Thus we have T-posing corpses without any missing limbs/unique facial expression/wounds/etc... It's kinda cheap, but at least there are many possible outcomes and endings (which arent cheap though)
How do you have Conrad get the Knife? Because I’m trying a kill everyone run where Fliss/Brad kill each other in the ballroom and then Conrad stabs the survivor and Olson kills Alex in the chase scene. I’m trying to only have 2 people alive in the Radio room but I don’t know if that’s possible.
Whenever Alex or Conrad get killed.... “Goodnight, lover boy.” (If you know this old reference, you’re the coolest person alive). (Seriously, though, don’t get anybody killed, cause these deaths are too sad even for fictional characters to die).
When she finishes diving with Alex, have her refuse to emerge slowly, and afterwards have her accept beer. That way she spends the rest of the story as a dead woman walking.
Early in the game when you're diving and playing as Julia, and you choose to hurry and surface from the dive instead of waiting. If she manages to survive throughout the rest of the game, she dies of decompression sickness at the end.
Conrad has a habit of falling I see
For the last time Conrad, you gotta enchant them boots with feather falling
*Agility 1*
*Charisma* 5
*Strength* 4
I feel bad when ever Alex accidentally kills the "Monster" just to find out it was someone else, it's even worse when it's his brother Brad...
7:20 ... Alex has the same reaction when he figured out that he just killed his brother as me when i wake up too late for school
this might be the first video that actually has all the death scenes. well done lmao
So everyone talking about 60 deaths really just meant different characters with the same deaths lmao
Conrad: Dies, because he falls down
I actually didn't know Conrad could die as a result of Alex's endgame stuff
So basically you can have different characters play through the same sequences and that's how you get variety in this game.
I think they did this because some deaths in Until Dawn were so specific and ridiculous that barely anybody saw them. For example hardly anyone knows Emily can fall into a woodchipper.
Kids next time stay away from hights. Conrad just showed you many deaths
Alex could have been more sad about all of his brothers deaths... Especially the one where he fucking stabs him.

These deaths are great but they're not so brutal as I wished...
The most brutal one was Conrad getting impaled...
Its all about Quick Time Events isn't it? Quick Time Events made in a hurry in a panic, Made with the heart instead of the brain, all vice-versa.
Conrad: and kids that is why you don’t go on boats

it looks like brad and conrad turn into olson and julia and fliss turn into the monster
Eldritch Angel no Julia was Olson in one of my play throughs, at this point I think it’s random
You don't look at the skeleton, but if you do,don't touch the body in the infirmary as Alex and you get a hallucination of Olson, which is pretty boring
Finally someone who's showing all the death, almost haha
Can anyone explain why the soldiers shot Julia and others?

It is the movie night mode, but what death Brad had on your playthough
Why are these deaths are so tamed. It's hard to believe it's from the creators of Until Dawn
Ikr
Its not like a kid is gonna play this
Until Dawn death scenes were so good and brutal
these deaths barely even show you any good wounds
Yea same
@@MrKitKat_ well until dawn had a monster and here you're stuck on a ship with hallucinations
I have now watched all deaths in supermassive games so far
Bruh Fliss died in my playthrough cause I went AFK
How?
I wonder how the scene looks like when the creature pushes Conrad into the spikes from Fliss perspective
For those who wonder, i would actually compare this to Heavy rain deaths because even with all violent deaths there was not that much blood even during the warehouse and still were brutal :) so yeah maybe Heavy Rain pace is more of comparison
But what happen if Alex wasn’t there when Julia is dying from the beads? Would that be possible?
GamerPlaya 123 I think it would just be her brother who tries to help her

1:27 Someone can tell me how can i get that death
And how did Fliss come across the hooded skeleton man? What triggered it
If she doesn't go out to breath fresh air she sees Brad as a skeleton man
Just stay long enough in the ballroom and don't leave the room.

0:54 Conrad looks like ChrisMD
Who was the soldier who killed brad with knife ???????
Brad and Fliss were hallucinating that each other were monsters so Fliss was the soldier...mega oof
Bad luck brad
Whenever Alex or Conrad get killed....
“Goodnight, lover boy.” (If you know this old reference, you’re the coolest person alive).
(Seriously, though, don’t get anybody killed, cause these deaths are too sad even for fictional characters to die).
19:06 How do this death?
Is there a way to kill Julia/Alex during the olson chase scene without Conrad being there?
Omg finally
What is with the people drowning?
Until Dawn was wayyyyy better and gorey :)
i loved jessicas death
very epic
lol
18:51 how do you get Julia to die?
Dont let her decompress when diving and then have her drink a beer
You have to not decompress after scuba diving
Alex 452 I’m assuming she dies here because after they explored the plane wreck they didn’t decompress, so she got decompression sickness
When she finishes diving with Alex, have her refuse to emerge slowly, and afterwards have her accept beer. That way she spends the rest of the story as a dead woman walking.

Oh my godness!!
These deaths are so-- boring... I miss i until dawn
there is actually one ending where conrad is on the deck of the ship and a crow is pecking at his eyes. i would love to know how to get that ending
When does conrad stab brad
3:10 conrads death, how does that get triggered
Leave Alex with the Radio station, then stab the hallucination.
It would be best if you let some persons die before
