    Thank you! So much good advice. Another surface design mentor says “there’s room for you”, which is true when you narrow your niche as you said, and don’t compare yourself. If you look to others for trends you’ll find yourself doing what they’re doing. My unique style stays mine if I stay true to do what l love and what inspires me. I’m going to go watch more of your videos now! Thx so much!

    Thanks! I am going into my 9th year on Etsy and I am so discouraged (so many more dog bandana sellers) with Etsy which forces me to do local craft markets which can also be discouraging. I need to get my mind right for 2024.

    I'm autistic and I am definitely being crushed by these thoughts.
    I was told that my ads and descriptions were too technical and they were turning people off. I'm a technical kind of person, personally if I don't see the technical right away, I don't buy. 🤦🏼‍♀️

      Sorry to hear! Every maker and business owner has to do what's right for them. If the tags and descriptions are working for you, then go for it! As long as you're seeing results and success, that's all that matters :) - L

    Thanks sooo much Deborah, wonderful information. However, I just wanted to add that God made us all Unique and Different, and, if We believe in Him, We would know that the Creativity He has given to us will be a SUCCESS NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES. WE DON'T HAVE TO SPEND TIME COMPARING OURSELVES TO NO ONE. Thanks again.

    Great content, but can you tell us how we can niche down? I know what group I want to sell to but it's pretty big and I'm not sure how to niche down, as you mentioned. I really like your videos, so thank you for sharing.

    Hey Deb! Ive been having trouble connecting with my community and creating content for people who will eventually become a costumer. Ive realize after this video that I follow a lot of my competition on Instagram. While I don’t really see them as competition but as inspiration, I know that they are not the people who are going to buy my product. My question is; how do I turn my instagram into a place where I can reach and talk to my costumers? Who (what type of people) should I be following (personal accounts, business etc) to grow my profile and eventually make sales. Please help me out! I would also love to see a video about that in the future! 😊
    Thanks, I really love and appreciate your content! 🥰

      Hi Maria, this is a very important insight and this happens a lot on Instagram - makers following each other. Community is nice and important but yes... these are not your ideal customers. I've noted it for a video idea (thank you!) in the future, but in the meantime this is something we cover in depth in here (how to actually make sales, not friends - on Instagram, although friends and sales works too hehe) => www.hq.tizzit.co/dashboard/instagram-for-makers/

    I have an unrelated question from an old video of yours. If we make products of the same niche but appealing to 2 very different age groups would you consider opening 2 etsy shops for more reach/sales?
    Also like this video we always need a reminder !!

    • @Tizzitco
      @Tizzitco  3 роки тому

      Not necessarily, demographics (i.e. age) are not as important as psychographics (values, what people want to feel, status, tastes, etc.) so if those 2 different groups have a lot in common on the psychographic front, age shouldn't matter that much :-) => ua-cam.com/video/ZlTcdrhlP84/v-deo.html&feature=emb_title
