A dog with an embedded BARBED WIRE survives in the desert for 7 months! 😨 (read below)

- Every movement was painful for Falkor because of the barbed wire embedded in his coat, but he wouldn't let anyone near him. When we got a text message about him on the #HopeForPaws line, I rushed out to the desert. Because it was a long drive, I decided to just set up a trap and wait.
I waited for 6 hours, and when the temperatures got cooler, I had an idea - a noise that would bring him closer to the trap so I could get him out of the desert.
When I got the call for help, I was not told he had this barbed wire attached to him. I tried removing it, but I had to be extremely careful not to injure him and ensure he wouldn't get away from me. I couldn't remove it by myself, so I drove back to Los Angeles to do this safely with Loreta.
Falkor the cocker spaniel (named after the Luck Dragon from The Neverending Story) has the most beautiful ears and eyes, just like that Hollywood star from 1984.

I appreciate what Eldad does but why did he risk taking that dog out? He should know better. It's caused more pain & risked this dog getting away. He's in the crate already, take him to HQ and remove the wire there. More footage isn't necessary. smh

@@lolalovesme2987 there are many draft horses that are injured and abused by the Amish and the dumped at auctions (meat). Several rescues have channels on UA-cam. Like you, I was shocked the Amish would abuse any. animal

Yes and he's elderly and had enough of the homeless life ,as Eldad said short walks and lots of couch cuddles,I'm sure there is somewhere out for him.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Cocker Spaniels. To watch this pup go from homeless on the streets in the desert to being adored by you both in the safety of a home brought tears to my eyes. ❤

beautiful rescue. i have a rescued senior blind dog with me, shes my darling. at times she cant walk. senior dogs are quiet, calm and nice to have with. i get so happy when i see pets happy. its super hard to approach an injured dog like Falkor, thank you Eldad and team for this. you are God sent angel.

What a sweetheart he turned out to be. Poor guy. Out there in the hot desert all alone. Thank goodness for the guy that fed him. I know he feels a lot better now with a shave and a haircut. He needs a furever home with someone who will love him furever.

My tears flowed for this precious senior dog who has suffered so much. Thank you for intervening and changing his life. I sincerely hope someone with many, many cuddles to give will adopt him and shower him with love for his remaining years. Falkor may be an older dog, but he is still a precious baby.

I couldn't believe how small Falkor looked once all that matted fur was shaved off!! What a difference!! nice job getting that bard wire cut off.. When Falkor started to get his bath, I got a good look at his eyes n what I saw just about broke my heart😢 you can tell just how sad, lonely n helpless the dog felt

That dinner bell trick worked great. My gosh he has matts and I saw the wire when we walked inside the trap. So glad the lady kept feeding him and finally got a hold of you guys. THANK you so much for saving Falkor!!
