- We were called to rescue a dog on #WorldKindnessDay and when we asked our supporters what we should name him, many suggested #MrRogers . If you would like to send your name suggestion for our next rescue, please submit it here: www.HopeForPaws.org/Name ❤️
It is so sad to me that it took 7 months for us to get that phone call on the #HopeForPaws line, but luckily, the electrical company employees fed Mr. Rogers and kept him alive and relatively healthy.
🎁🎁🎁 YOUR GIFT from HOPE FOR PAWS: So many animals are abandoned after their owners pass away, and this has to change! It doesn't matter if you are 25 years old or 50 years old or 75 years old - life is fragile and we never know when is our last day on earth. It is our responsibility to protect our pets and the best way to do it is to write a legally valid Will. We want to make sure your pets don't end up in a terrible situation, so we partnered with #FreeWill and we would like to give you and your pet the gift of writing your own Will for FREE here: www.FreeWill.com/HopeForPaws 🐶❤️😺
I know it sounds scary, but what's scarier is to know that your pets may find themselves on the streets or at the animal shelter. Doing the work we do, we know that once people pass away, families don't always handle the situation well with pets who are left behind... this is something that you need to plan in advance.
The process is very easy and will only take 20 minutes of your time. This gift is a gift you can and should share with your family and friends... it's an important conversation to have with everybody.
www.HopeForPaws.org/who_will_...
Mr. Rogers has made an incredible recovery with our friends at #HollywoodHuskies and I really hope you will watch until the end... it's just so beautiful to see. If you would like to adopt him, please contact them directly: www.HollywoodHuskies.org
Before this year ends, we have a $25,000 matching campaign where every dollar you donate will be DOUBLED by one of our generous donors: www.hopeforpaws.org/2021_new_... - we have to get there before the year ends, so if you can, please join us today with a $5 recurring donation.
Thank you so much!!!
Don't forget to come to tomorrow's video, make sure to make some popcorn because it's going to be a long one, very technical, extremely stressful... DEFINITELY the most stressful to watch EVER! 😱
Have a great day,
Eldad

I just donated to Hope For Paws. Let's all try to donate just $5.00! We can do it. And we all know we are giving to a really good cause. ❣
It is always sad to see a senior dog without a home. It makes you wonder about their life, how they ended where they are, what they experienced in the past. I am glad that Mr. Rogers has a great future.
When he closed his eyes and leaned into Eldad, I was a goner. It feels like a privilege to witness this kind of selfless love in action.
Well said mate 💯
He couldn't believe he's getting another chance to live he seemed to have given up poor guy.
Absolutely agree. Happy tears fell.
The other one that gets me as well as this video is when he rescues the German Shepherd in the LA river under the bridge, that Shepherd did the same lean in cuddle
U said it so wonderfully. It is our privilege to have these BEAUTIFUL animals as s our companions, friends, pets, etc. I think and w iui sh more people saw it from your point of view in such a humble way.
It's wonderful that the guards were watching out for Mr. Rogers and called for your special help. I'm glad his hearing issue was a curable infection. The scenes with the rescued dogs playing happily is the payoff that keeps me coming back and donating.
I love you 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh man! When he snuggled his head into Eldad's side I just about lost it. How lonely and scared he must have been. What is the matter with people!
Thank you Hope for Paws and the kind guards that took care of him.
I cried when he did that 😰😰💔💔💔
И я плакала, очень трогательно
You could see that as soon as he was comforted, he had clearly been missing that sort of interaction. It definitely looks like he was loved previously, but the owner died or whatever. He seemed to enjoy the bath as well, so it wasn't an alien experience for him, he used to be cared for. Such a gorgeous boy...
It's amazing like all the dog seem to love the bath....mine, who has one or two per year, is not a huge fan....
That pretty backyard must be like a little piece of heaven for him! Kudos to the guards who looked out for him! Mr Rogers I'd love to be your neighbor! 🤗❤️💕
I was thinking the same thing...every rescued animal should have such a backyard..an oasis of peace and comfort.
The guards are gentlemen.
His eyes are full of life. Thank you for this rescue.
Mr Rogers needed a big Eldad rescue hug to know he was heading to a better place. Happy New Year.
He’s such a handsome, gentle, sweet boy. So sad that he lived alone but thank goodness for the people who fed and looked after him. Thanks always, Hope for Paws. Look how happy he is now. All the animals deserve that
beautiful dog
I absolutely love your comment about spending 7 minutes with him to calm and reassure him as opposed to the 7 months he spent living alone. I think as humans we want to race along with everything we do. Stop, slow down and just give your time and attention to a human or an animal is my new motto. Thank you for everything you do.
It’s wonderful that he can hear again.
THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE DOG
Being a person who has had rescue dogs over 20yrs, I can see in their facial expressions the difference between scared and happy. It warms my heart to see that transformation in your videos! I'm sure the good Lord will have a very special place in Heaven for you and your crew. God bless all of you at Hope for Paws!!
Mr. Rogers finally gets the love and care he deserves! Beautiful story!
Hello Debra, how are you doing?
Big thanks to that security guard also, who fed and watched Hope For Paws on UA-cam and so knew who to call, great that he got him the help he needed.
👍👍👍👍👍
Glad he got his hearing back. My dog is almost 13. He knows a few sign language that I taught him when he was young. In case he starts loosing his hearing it will help him. I urge everyone to teach your dog some too.
What a good idea! ❤️🇬🇧
Long ago I taught my GS signing "I love you" (w/a wink). She often returns 😉 & now I catch her gazing at me w/pure 💗 & a 😉 (unsolicited). My girl is losing her hearing among other health issues- I truly feel blessed to enjoy every day(14+ years) I have with my loyal & loving companion. 🙏 & Blessings to you all for a happy and peace-filled 2022!
same here......i rescued a 8+ yr. old Rhodesian Ridgeback from the road....he was so sick, weathered, neglected......October 3rd was his "birthday" of 7 yrs. with me....he's learned my sign language , thrived on diet of 50% raw food.....runs like a young'un......
How can anyone not love this dogo! And Joanne too. Crawling through the cage and just picking him up at the vets. She is so awesome! I wish there was a hope for paws in every city on earth!
If they get enough donations, there could be.
Huskies are so intuitive, they can really read human body language and sense when they're around good people. My boy is just crossing over the hill into being a senior. I'm so happy that Mr Rogers can hear again. He's going to make someone a wonderful companion in his golden years.
🌞Beautiful dog, beautiful rescue. I had adopted a senior rescue dog that looked very similar to Mr. Rogers but a female. She also was deaf. 🌞
I’m so happy clearing up the ear infection meant he could hear again. What a beautiful dog. You do great work.
What a gentle dog. I pray Mr. Rogers finds a loving forever family that'll give him the awesome life he so deserves. Great job, angels.
I love how Eldad makes it a priority to take the time to comfort and assure the dog and make the dog feel safe. This is so heartwarming to witness rather than let's get the snappy on the dog as quick as possible just to get it done as soon as possible. I'm honored to be a supporter!
Just like Mr. Rogers he's gentle and sweet and it's great he can hear. Thanks to the guards that cared for him and called!
As a security officer myself I know exactly how hard it is to give up a stray, you don’t get much company and their presence makes work a little more bearable. When that SO said they were going to miss him he was being very sincere.
Awww 🥺🥺🥺😭😭
That is so sweet to know
no way to take one in at the guard station and have them be the mascot? I know I know... but still, it's a nice wish
@@philippak7726 It’s all good, I work at a great place these days and the business owners love animals. The business just so happens to need a brave urban fox named Buddy to take care of the rats and a cat with no name to pretend she owns the place. They’re not the best of friends but Buddy’s smart and knows not to hurt the cat, even when he had cubs 🦊🦊🦊running around.
Bless you.
This beautiful abandoned dog gained hope when he felt the true intentions of his rescuer. The scene where he again and again leans his muzzle against the blue T-SHIRT before entering the rescue cage was a revealing momentum about what true behavior can do. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the good advice about including one's pet in a will. 💯🌹🐶
4:12 - Watching him melt into Eldad, I almost started crying. It was like he realized he wasn't alone anymore, he could finally trust someone, and that everything was going to be ok.
Seeing him curled up sleeping amongst the trash just broke me. He looks like my Oaks, who only gives me sad eyes like that when I won't share a brownie with him (coz of the chocolate). Even tho he's already gotten his treats. Mr. Rogers' transformation lifted my spirits after the sad start to his story. Thank you Hope for Paws team for making a career out of love and kindness and saving so many helpless fur babies.
I know of dogs who developed an appetite and a tolerance for chocolate. The thing is, dogs have to be exposed to chocolate as puppies so their systems develop a tolerance for it. My family's pet fox terrier loved chocolate candies. My elder sister's Yellow Labrador ate a whole box of chocolate-covered macadamia nuts. The next door neighbor's gray Weimaraner devoured an entire, 16-ounce box of See's assorted chocolates with no ill effects. You run into problems when an adult dog eats chocolate but has never been exposed to it as a puppy or very young dog. Then as adult dogs they can become very sick and could die.
I'm a 56yr old man from England and this brought me to tears of joy, what fantastic people at hope for paws really are.
Bobbie. I'm a 64 year old Brit living here in the USA. Tears of joy from me too for this lovely old gentleman dog.
I'm a little older, and they always get me too.
You gentlemen are wonderful ❤
@@59Alaskan thanks for that but it's cos I'm soft as muck when it comes to dogs (people not so much)
@@bobbierocksbuster5584 same here, nothing wrong with that 🤗
And you're welcome!!
Blessings 🌿 🙌
Oh wow! This one got me 😢. What a beautiful pup and I can feel that he has such a gentle soul. 🥰❤️
He is WONDERFUL! So sweet and gentle. Nice that people fed him, but he needed shelter too. Thank you for rescuing him and he will make a great companion for someone.
El dad is a doll! ❤️ 💜 💚
This is why I donate $20 a month....Mr. Rogers is so handsome and beyond sweet! I always have to prepare myself before watching these videos. I cry like a baby when these beautiful beings are first being rescued, and learning & seeing their conditions and history. Then I cry like a baby in seeing these beautiful creatures transformation because I'm so happy. Hope for Paws is an AMAZING rescue team/organization. Any and all animal rescues are amazing!!!! LOVE>LOVE>LOVE> HOPE FOR PAWS and ELDAD and his TEAM !!!!!!!
Eldad has to be one of the most skilled rescuers on the planet.
Yes, indeed Eldad ist one of the most skilled - besides Takis from Takis Shelter in Greece ( Kreta/ Crete) he is amazing, too. His shelter is a paradise for abused dogs.
Both rescuers have their place in heaven safe! They are angels to the animals...including their wonderful teams. Lots of love from Berlin, Germany♥️
Seriously he must have the eyes of an eagle to spot dogs so quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As are all those people that work with him….let’s not forget them.
Omg, I’m crying here…He looks so sad…Thank you both for being such compassionate people! You both are blessed❤️🐾😘
Such a sweet gentle soul. So amazing that he is no longer deaf, a miracle. Thanks to all involved in keeping Mr. Rogers alive and saved from his miserable life on the streets, and finding him the loving home he so deserves.🙏
Outstanding that his hearing came back after the infection was gone
Senior dogs are so gentle. Good thing he was rescued without any issues. Lots of love and support!
Hi💜🎂🥳💐
I loved my senior dog.
Great to hear as well that there were no major health issues and that his hearing came back! And what a gorgeous creature he is. He will find adopters in no time, I'm sure.
what a beauty he is....
Well said Jungkookie 💜
The way Mr. Rogers put his head to Eldad's body got me in tears. Mr. Rogers knew instantly that he has found a protector.
That one moment when Eldad gives this dog his time and his safety and space is his real magic, and that was also the reason why I used to enjoy watching the shows so much. This is such a basic need and so rare. It clicked every time for me and tonight I took this moment with me to my bed, held it and felt safe myself. It's a shame that's over. I am hardly interested in pure rescue operations and the girls are rather rough (sorry, I would be too) and that hurts me rather than good.
Such a sweet dog. Glad he's able to hear again! Hope he finds a great forever home.
Looking in his eyes makes me wanna cry. I can't remember seeing such a sad and tired expression. Poor little big guy. Hope his future will bring him a lot of love and kindness.
This video really made me cry. The patience, love and attention you give to these scared, injured and emotionally threatened animals does not come easily to most people. We are thankful that your team has what it takes to take away these fears. Thank you and Happy New Year!!!
Thank you, guys-for another beautiful rescue.
JoAnn is my dream girl! ❤️
Every human has every right to live, So does animals. Roger, I hope you'll find a Good home.
U r very right. All living beings have the right to live not to be euthanized under any pretext. Owners who put their pets to death under the pretext of ending suffering r insane to pay vets to kill their pet family members.
@@juliettebardo7250 while this might be true if they only put the animal down bcs of personal issues. But if the animal is in pain than putting it down might be the best and most humain thing to do.
@@juliettebardo7250 //// I THINK THAT YOUR THE ONE THATS EITHER INSANE OR HAVE NEVER OWNED A PET FROM A LITTLE PUPPY/KITTEN UNTIL IT'S VERY OLD,FEEBLE,IN PAIN,CAN'T WALK AND HAS NO QUALITY OF LIFE LEFT,THEN EUTHANSIA IS THE LAST CHOICE LEFT FOR ITS CARE!!!! IT IS NEVER A CHOICE TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY AND IS ALWAYS THE VERY LAST CHOICE!!!!!!IT'S ALL JUST PART OF BEING A RESPONSABLE,LOVING PET OWNER!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY HATE KILL SHELTERS/PUPPY MILLS AND BELIEVE THAT THEY ALL SHOULD BE BANNED!!!!! THAT'S NOT WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE!!!!! WE'RE TALKING ABOUT BEING A LONG TERM,RESPONSABLE PET OWNER!!!!! ALL OF MY ANIMALS HAVE ALL BEEN VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND LIVED VERY LONG HAPPY LIFES!!!!!!!
@@ezrabrooks12 This is someone who understands what they are talking about!
His eyes spoke volumes. So much heartache. This had me bawling. I had to go play with my dog and love on him for awhile.

Aww, he's so passive and beautiful! It was amazing to see him relax at the vet, he knew you were safe people. I hope he finds his forever home soon.
Such a gentle animal. After 7 mos on his own and with help of those who fed him his health is good. A senior dog,can b so loving. And 'Mr. Rodgers' is that example!! Hooray HOPE 4 PAWS!! 🐕🐶🦊🦎🐑🐕
Yay.....he can hear after all! How wonderful! Great rescue! And thank you for the gift!
you can tell when dogs are happy or sad or abused or lonely. now mr rogers belongs to a loving home & it shows in his general behaviour.🥰
Eldad, you and your team are amazing. This rescue really made me tear up. Such a beautiful dog and that his ear infection cleared and he can hear again is making me so happy. Thank you for all you and the team at Hope for Paws does. So very special. Wishing Mr. Rogers finds a happy home soon.
"...spending 7 more minutes to make him feel safe and loved was important." i'm still crying.... thanks for doing that it's not only about rescuing this angel, but to let him know that now he is safe and loved, and now he is starting a new life, the life he deserves since his very firts breath...
How could I not weep gently watching the Abandoned become the Loved? ♡♡
Thank you María 💕
I have a feeling his foster mom is not going to let him go anywhere 🥰
@@hopeforpaws Mr Rogers is a blessing, I'm so happy knowing he is protected, so loved...and spoiled, je je ... This world needs more people like Eldad and the volunteers at Hope for Paws! This rescue made me so happy, that I wept like a baby! BTW, Mr. Rogers is a very appropriate name for that sweet senior dog. I am a senior citizen and I have an appreciation for all things old!!!
This made me cry too, seeing Mr Rogers go from sad to relief to happy after being rescued, also bless the security guard for calling Hope For Paws, so sweet when he said goodbye to Mr Rogers, this was a wonderful video
Omg! What a calm way to leash him! God bless! 🐾🐾♥️🌹
I have a funny feeling Fred's spirit will feel honored!
@@jansonshine9082 I also have no doubt ….. I only think there’s one thing missing from the beautiful white husky. I think he needs a sweater. Lol. 2022 ready or not here we come. God bless you and yours and please do be safe! ♥️🌹
@@pamelabryant7390 Mr Rogers says "Me too warm for sweater" But a funny suggestion.
He is so happy to have friends again. The security guards were nice to him, and helped him out; he never lost his trust in people. But now he is with a group of people that he is closer with, and he is feeling the love, care and social interaction that is so important to dogs. He'll soon have a home with a family; he knows he's on his way home.
I love to see these senior dogs get the love & care that they so deserve. Please don't forget about them 🙏❤
It’s funny… This is the first video I’ve seen today, and I actually started to cry at this dogs loneliness in fear. But at the end I smiled. Always seems to happen, lol! I’ve never been able to have dogs because I don’t have a yard… So I’ve always had a cat. But I would adopt this dog in a heartbeat if I was set up for it. Once again, you guys ROCK!
Once again Hope for Paws to the rescue! Thank you for saving Mr. Rogers and Hollywood Huskies for giving him a safe place to blossom! This was so beautiful to watch! 💞
oh it's so beautiful that it would have been a tragedy to leave it so close to the highway! it looks like the mixture of a dog, a wolf and the color of a polar bear, it is beautiful 🥰! thank you for saving him because at the end of the video we see how happy he is to be loved and to have toys ☺👍! A+ 😋
What a poor boy. Such a beautiful dog too and deserves to be well looked after. Well done guys 🙏🏼
That’s not a dog, that’s a polar bear! Thanks to everyone involved in his rescue and amazing transformation, including being able to hear again!
he was able to hear again? i guess i missed that part!!! how do you know?
edit: ah nevermind i rewatched the video!! was distracted the first time i watched :p

Sending love and hugs to beautiful Mr Rogers ❤ thank you Hope for Paws for all the work you do you are all awesome ❤❤❤
MR ROGERS EYES ARE SO SAD. GOD LOVE HIM.😇😇😇
He is such a handsome pup! Glad he gets a new beginning. JoAnn is just so strong and gentle! She is a fantastic rescuer.
I admire the calm that you radiate in your actions - no stress, no hectic rush if it can be avoided. How good is that especially for older animals who get stressed so quickly and for whom it is not good. You are just wonderful.
Thank you, Eldad, for the time you take in these rescues; no stress, no hurry ... you give the animal time to adjust and relax as much as possible. You are the best! What a beautiful dog! Thank you from Canada. 🇨🇦
love love love what you do!!! animals are a gift from God and should be treated good. thank you for loving them all !
AMEN TO THAT!!!!
Mr Rogers is a handsome boy with so much love to give, don’t give up on senior dogs, they are still so special, thank you to the security guard for ringing hope for paws, and JoAnn and Eldad for saving him. 💕💕💕🤟🏼xxxxx
If I had money and lived in the United States, I would definitely adopt him.
I actually donate 15% of my EBay sales for you guys!! I absolutely love what you do for the animals in need! God bless you guys
You should somehow add that to your Ebay account so people know. If I was deciding between two close choices, it would certainly convince me.

I am so happy that he can HEAR again! And, that he's like a puppy again too! 🥲 God bless you and all that you do to rescue dogs. Happy New Year!!!
Mr. Rogers reminds me my female dog (my sister!), Yara, who passed away 50 years ago. Same color, same eyes, same "face". I will never forget her. Thank you for the gift you offer for people who didn't think about the "future" of their animals when these owners pass away. Considering my case, I already did it for my 3 animals. Happy New Year to all humans and animals of this Planet. And thanks again for your wonderful work for rescuing all those sick and/or lost friends. From France,
The compassion that you show towards the animals in your video clips proves to me how very much all of you angels care about the animals you rescue. It makes me cry when I see how much these animals need love and you guys always take time out from rescuing them to provide that. God bless you and keep up the great work! 😢🙏❤️
Well more tearing up for me. Thank you to the guards who fed him and called you guys. So happy he has had his hearing restored and faith in the world. He is absolutely gorgeous.
