watching this for inspiration. I've just picked up a VTS lump to put in my VTR (blew the engine). It's currently at the garage where I know they'll do high quality work but they're looking to charge me a day rate to do it and they're not able to do it till the 1st Aug as they're fully booked. I really don't have that money right now. Considering doing it myself so using this video as inspiration. Relatively new to cars so not sure if ill tackle it
Equally, would love the luxury of being able to paint the engine bay. Nothing crazy but just rust protection etc as she's getting on in age as all saxos are. Can't do that if anyone elsedoes it
Very professional. Quick question about the saxo engines, i have a saxo that could have a different bigger saxo 8v engine than it started with but cant find the code on the engine. Any idea where i could find the code as it might be covered in dirt i just dont know where to look🤔
Are those vts axles and do they differ from stock saxo ones? Im doing a tu5 swapped citroen ax and i have saxo stock axles and wondering if they are going to hold up.
16V axles are different from the rest, and as far as I know a pain to acquire. Maybe its easier in the UK than in the EU I don't know if 1.1 and 1.4 axles have any meaningful difference Don't forget to soup up the engine mount on the right side. AX 1.1 engine mount cant handle 1.4+ torque output. Gearbox mounts are fine
Amazing work Sean…. Looking forward to seeing it again in person
Wow big moment! Hope it doesn’t have to come back out again anytime soon!
Bloody brilliant mate! Love watching these videos! Thanks very much!
Now the fun begins Sean 😎
great work dude
Coming on great 👍 👌

Nice job done on this project.

Front of the engine, near the bell housing in a flat spot just under the head

No. They are Spoox BE driveshafts into BE driveflanges.
Don't see any reason why a stock engine wouldn't hold up with stock shafts.
Yeah on insta. @PROJECT_5AXO
I guess well see :D
