Wonderful video thanks so much. I learnt basics at school 60 years ago and can now have fun with tatting again.

I have made fabric yoyos and love to make them. I haven't since my surgery which has made my hands super shaky but my problem was keeping the thread from getting tangled. You are working with a lot more thread and i would have a huge knot if i was doing it. Lol

I wondered why the needle had to be so long when You were showing supplies. I understand after watching the video. Nice job Shasta! 😊

This is pretty cool! You definitely make it look easy. 😁 I don’t think I could make these with my shaky hands.

How do you add more thread on the needle side when your in the middle of a project?

Hi Alice. I am still learning about tatting myself actually so I do not have an answer for that question. I do make sure I pull off plenty of thread in the beginning so I don’t run out. When I find a better way, I will come back to this comment and let you know. I apologize for the late response, life has been very busy lately!

How do you know when to count the pecot as a stitch or not?

Hi Alice! So I realize it has been many many months since you asked this question but I wanted to let you know of this tutorial video I have now for adding in more thread.

@@dianehosker2581 for me personally I count the pico as a stitch (as far as the space it takes up) when I’m designing my own pattern. For following a written pattern I would just go with what the pattern says. From what I’ve come across, a pico is considered a separate part and double stitches themselves are separate from that.
