After a day this decor will dry a little bit, but still be easy to cut with a knife. If it dries pretty hard, you can remove it before cutting the cake as well. It’s a good idea! I don’t recommend people to eat black or red fondant anyway - it has too much food coloring. For this particular cake it’s not necessary to let this piece dry - it’s my habit to make difficult pieces ahead of time to make sure I have everything prepared on time without stress by the time of the event :)

Hi what size cake is this please?
The cake is a little bit smaller than 1/4 sheet cake (9 in X 12 in) - I cut out 1 inch from each side, so it looks nicer on the board.
