Meet Ally Love’s dance mentor and inspiration

From ballet to gaining fame as a Peloton instructor, Ally Love has made a career of expressing herself and uplifting others through movement. Now, as a TODAY contributor, Love is honoring Ruth Weissen, the woman who helped set her career in motion and stops by the Amour Dance Theatre in Miami to surprise her. “I wasn’t alone in the dance world because I had you,” Love said.

My daughter was also a recipient of one of those dance scholarships and it opened up her eyes and mind to far greater things. She learned hard work and dedication truly pays off. She earned a full scholarship to college and continues to excel there to pursue her dream to become a screenwriter. I remember her application essay was all about the self-disciple dance taught her at TAYB. Thank you, Ms Ruth, for making such a positive impact on Zharia’s life! God bless you!
