I don't understand how a video series of a fish tank has made me actually get a bit emotional at times but you've done it. Hope the peace stays for a bit.
mistaecco it’s easy to understand because you are watching life being carried out. You are also living a life. It’s nostalgic feeling that you are watching your life.
It hurts to see the Amano go.. But it was all worthwhile.. She captured my attention in all of your videos featuring her tank. This channel is like a breath of fresh air. Away from those trying so hard to impress and all that stuff. Here it's just authentic fish love and care
I always wanted the amano larvae to survive, and when they did, they just lost their parents and die alone. Those fish were ruuude. Thanks for the video, I was waiting since forever. It was amazing as always.
This is a bad episode for Amano's clan. A total whip out of all members. A dark episode with such intense build up and twist, started with hope when Amano gets a new tank and eventually ended up with the worst tragedy of the series. A turning point of the show. If the green shrimp and that whatever stick on the glass worm dead in next episode, I'm going to therapy ...
Ben a pixel 2 on a small desktop tripod could do it given you have good lighting... smartphone cameras these days are damn good...one UA-camr did a pretty long fast movement video using a Red camera and a LG G6...and most people who saw the video picked the G6 as the winner...phones have the capability to do hardware based post processing on the fly which really makes a massive difference when your just looking for something that looks good and doesn't require a lot of work in post.
i love this series and i'm so emotionally invested, i started crying when i saw what happened to the Amano's,,, those fish are,,, not in my good books anymore.
"They say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time."__a quote from the artist, Banksy. I find your videos to be so beautiful, very enriching even when death is a part of them. Thank you.
I have folowed this tank from its conception and it never get old I love this tank and what you are doing it is so natural I cant believe it has no filter etc but I know you do hard work to keep so good. Sorry about your shrimp they become more that just things swimming in a tank, I know.
How you have managed to completely enchant me and make me feel so many emotions with just a fish tank is honestly impressive. Fantastic work, you’ve earned my subscription❤️
I have a trio of amanos in my tank and the female is carrying eggs. I looked into hatching and raising them and I learned it is nearly impossible to do in captivity! They're are so delicate and finicky; their wild counterparts have a much better shot of making it to adulthood. You made a great effort, even if it didn't work out. I admire your dedication and love of these little critters.
It's crazy, how life like that? Develops their own personality, and starts to notice what's around them! But, it creates war! It's not just humans, it's just how life is!
Awesome to hear, im wondering if its really hard to do or if its more low maintenace. I see that you have to manage food and croppings of the plants every so often but is it less maintenace than a cat or guinea pig?
I recently started watching all of your videos. I must say, this one made me sad. I'm glad peace was restored by the end. Thank you for all of your footage. I am learning so much!
It's 2:30 AM and I'm watching the 9th video of a series on a fish tank. And at 2:39 AM, I'll be watching the 10th. Love how well the editing is/ how informative all the videos are!
WOW! It is crazy watching your video updates over the past few months.. I am literally transported to another world when I watch your videos. Who would have thought that such a microscopic eco-system in such a large world would behave the same way as ours. Interesting, chaotic, and cruel, yet beautiful all at the same time. Thanks for the videos.
I watch your videos repeatedly, especially on this tank, to learn. Your videos of this tank are the reason I'm doing my tank this way. Gee, I sure do hope mine turns out half as good as yours.
One day I will know that I am loved when someone treats me with the same care and consideration as you treat your tanks. I can’t wait to be someone’s wet, green, full tank.
Poor things... RIP the amano shrimps and babies. Hope to see the new shrimps flourish in their respective tanks~ It is really enjoyable to watch you make stuff , you're a master maker! ☺️
I was searching for a video suggesting a less expensive substrate for starting a planted aquarium, and when I found this thread I kept on watching all episodes one after another. Wonderful work, and thanks for all those info which I didn't know as a beginner. Good luck
these videos are helping me get through my grandmom's death. I fell so relaxed and it stops the anxiety I fell constantly. Thanks UA-cam for bringing me here
I don't normally comment on videos, but I just had to say that this video is one of the most well put together UA-cam video that I have ever watched. You have everything listed from the materials you used, where to buy them, and to certain transitions in the video. Well done, seriously. I just subscribed because of this video.
Oh no! The fish were fighting because they were all waiting to eat some baby shrimps but you fooled them! Only they didn’t know it was you and they started suspecting each other until war broke out! Then the mother, grieving the perceived loss of yet another bunch of youngsters, takes her own life...but if she’d only waited a little while longer the few that did survive would have returned to her! OMG this is so sad! It’s like a fish version of Game of Thrones!
I used a 5mm acrylic tube and "transparent plastic ball container". I only used a half of the ball container. It's pretty straight forward. I bend the acrylic as shown in the video. I drilled a hole in the middle of the ball container, and a few more holes so the air would escape when the bubbles accumulate in it. I super glued the ball container to the acrylic tube.
Poor Amano could never catch a break. Her babies always died. Then she was separated from the male for a day so she could give birth but it probably stressed her out. That's probably why she off'd herself. That or she caught the male Amano with the Dragonfly Nymph. 🤔
Sorry about the loss of your Amano shrimp, she was really incredible to watch. Thank you so much for sharing your projects and all the work that you put in. It's a full time job.
I clicked on a random video of yours because i was bored and when you started this no filter etc series man you got me sooo hooked on this, make me feelin like im watching a netflix show. I seriously wait for theese uploads rip amano my favourite character here never forget :(
It’s neat how he creates the tank elements on his own. And I also must say, this is an awesome family life story from beginning until end, the good times and the bad, the love the fighting, life and death , I will keep tuning in 🤗👍🏼
I thought Amano shrimp couldn't have their young survive outside of a brackish or oceanic swampy area? That they needed the salt water to thrive? Your's seem to be surviving and thriving without it?
Pup314 the larva and shrimplets develop in brackish water. The adults live in mostly fresh water. That's why you saw him check the salinity and add the larva to it. Then added adults back to the fresh. I think there is more to it but that is the jist. Hope it helps
Hey there mr foo, Just wanted to say that you inspired me to make a planted tank of my own and I love it. I used sheep manure compost and pool filter sand for substrate. The plants are just weeds from the lake. Most of them have rhizomes so they are on their way to filling the tank. So far had to do one haircut. Each shoot stops growing once cut so low maintenance there. I have added air but no filter. 2 desk lamps with fluorescent light bulbs. 10 gallons The first animal resident was a 5 cm diving beetle larvae I found in a pond. He has pupated now so I have a juvenile Lethoceras house sitting till the beetle emerges. I feed them crickets with tongs. Also some snails and a leech that stowed away. @Muhammad Fardin as long as you're not vegetarian/vegan, it's quite the same. with one difference: the amano had a pretty nice life.
So much drama! this is like a series now

Better than game of throne i think
I don't understand how a video series of a fish tank has made me actually get a bit emotional at times but you've done it. Hope the peace stays for a bit.

This one: felt like a damn reality show lmao
It hurts to see the Amano go.. But it was all worthwhile.. She captured my attention in all of your videos featuring her tank. This channel is like a breath of fresh air. Away from those trying so hard to impress and all that stuff. Here it's just authentic fish love and care
and the amano had too much fresh air >-
I always wanted the amano larvae to survive, and when they did, they just lost their parents and die alone. Those fish were ruuude.
Thanks for the video, I was waiting since forever. It was amazing as always.
Amano: Goodbye tank.
Tank: Ok, where are you going?

Tank: Oh god that's not what I thought you meant!
Trexius asdf?
@@beyondfubar yep

This is a bad episode for Amano's clan. A total whip out of all members. A dark episode with such intense build up and twist, started with hope when Amano gets a new tank and eventually ended up with the worst tragedy of the series. A turning point of the show.
If the green shrimp and that whatever stick on the glass worm dead in next episode, I'm going to therapy ...
Yen Hoe Beh *wipe out
*hugs*
by stick on the glass worm do you mean the nerite snail?
Shrimptachi was said to have wiped his entire shrimp clan out
Now tell me why i read this with a reality show narrator voice
It's awesome to think that you filmed this on your phone and not some fancy camera.
Woojong Lots of smartphone cameras are awesome...you just need to know how to film with them.
Woojong WHAT?? The quality is amazing, I thought it was done on a macro lens
Yeh i'm pretty sure those close ups weren't on a phone
Ben a pixel 2 on a small desktop tripod could do it given you have good lighting... smartphone cameras these days are damn good...one UA-camr did a pretty long fast movement video using a Red camera and a LG G6...and most people who saw the video picked the G6 as the winner...phones have the capability to do hardware based post processing on the fly which really makes a massive difference when your just looking for something that looks good and doesn't require a lot of work in post.

this is starting to feel like an update to a drama series and I am all for it #fishdrama

The way it’s filmed and the story is being told with a taste of the piano you have made art my friend

Can you provide a link to your bubbler trap DIY? I've been trying to find it for 40 minutes!
I think he might have made it himself, it could also be somewhere on the channel
I used a 5mm acrylic tube and "transparent plastic ball container". I only used a half of the ball container. It's pretty straight forward. I bend the acrylic as shown in the video. Don't thank us for watching , thank you for creating such a beautiful and peaceful video
What a gentle soul you are to notice and make changes to this little community your creating. How very peacefilling it is to watch.
Poor Amano could never catch a break. Her babies always died. Then she was separated from the male for a day so she could give birth but it probably stressed her out. That's probably why she off'd herself. That or she caught the male Amano with the Dragonfly Nymph. 🤔
come here to take a breath from this sick world
Shir0ku haha
And then... Amano genocide!
Sorry about the loss of your Amano shrimp, she was really incredible to watch. Thank you so much for sharing your projects and all the work that you put in. It's a full time job.
I love watching your sparkling gouamis, they're so pretty. That was some intense fighting though, rip sparkling gourami male and amano shrimp 😔
These gouramis are cool, and cute!
When you read the comments early

Your videos inspired me to get into fishkeeping. I now have 2 tanks going and 1 cycling!! Thank you for the amazing vids
I have no idea why I started watching these or how but now I cannot stoppppp
Noooo the Amano ;(
You know so much and I know nothing. Fish are a bigger responsibility than dogs lol. I’ll definitely do a lot more research before I get even 1 fish
I'm so addicted to the videos, it's very relaxing to watch.
I swear to god the little tools you build are so good.
The Amano just heckin killed them selves.
Gouramis vs Amanos

I don’t know how I got into watching this but I am finding these videos sooooo fascinating.
what does the bubble trap do?
Johnnyofree i imaging its so they don’t get in a bubble and pop ou of the tank
Avoid surface agitation. Keeps it only in the trap. Also less evaporation and splashing.
To prevent salt creep.
Foo the Flowerhorn smart i like it
Foo the Flowerhorn what is salt creep.

Yup saw that after I posted the comment.
I could literally watch your tank videos all day
Your no filter/no CO2/no ferts aquarium looks excellent, very natural!
Bro do a weekly update not
monthly.your videos are awesome and pls make it longer.so satisfying to watch.and mind relaxing
You know you’ve fallen too far when too much plant growth is exciting
Always love the choice of music. That's what keeps me coming back
First and favorite series of yours! I wish I could binge them all over again for the first time.
You need a masters degree in aquatics to run this thing
Hear me out here but I think you should use the Minecraft soundtrack for these types of video specifically the song wet hands
im here living my best life through u since i cant seem to keep an aquarium alive for long 😣😢
I find these videos to be so calming
This is weirdly enthralling. Keep us updated!
10 gallons
The first animal resident was a 5 cm diving beetle larvae I found in a pond. He has pupated now so I have a juvenile Lethoceras house sitting till the beetle emerges. I feed them crickets with tongs.
Also some snails and a leech that stowed away.
As beautiful as your tank is, Mine has one thing yours doesnt- when the afternoon sun comes in the window and makes the whole thing glow green =).
Nice! Yea, using sunlight, and if you can make it work, it's awesome sight to see when the sun shines in the tank.
I’ve watched the intro to this 9 times, never gets old. Keep it up
Dude you're so handy, I wish I was half as creative and skilled as you are.
