looking at the specs of the guitar and the pickups... physicists have studied long and hard and determined the only way of making this guitar sound so bad is by putting paul from guitar world in charge. the spec sheet is also the only thing that will actually tell you if the guitar is any good, as paul from guitar world also thinks everything is awesome
Okay so this guitar has Titans as the pickups. Then he just plays some dad rock on it? Cmon man this guitar was made for metal get someone who can play metal to demo it. I shouldn't be surprised just look at the videos of when this guy plays 7 strings... sheesh. That guitar is almost screaming to be shredded on.
Dude, I'm pretty sure I read an article on how-to palm mute in Guitar World 15 years ago... or maybe I just figured it out after trying for five minutes, I can't remember. What I do know however, is that there's no reason for the whack ass shit happening in this video. I can only hope during your recovery that you meet someone that can help you dial in an amp tone that doesn't sound like ass cheeks.
Wood doesn't have that kind of influence on the sound- at most, there would be a barely audible difference. The pickup, pickup height, pick, technique (and where the guitarist strums), amp (and how it's dialed in), and even the scale length will have far more influence on the tone of the guitar.
it's been years now and even i get old. but this channel still don't know how to record metal guitar sound.
maybe he should spend some time and learn how to dial in a decent tone, at least his hair game is still on point
