I rode and raced lots of 1000cc bikes, but the craziest thing I ever rode was a 50cc racing scooter with about 20-25hp. It wheelied on the tiniest part throttle and had a lifespan rated in laps. Absolute beast. Another one I found great fun was a gilera runner 180cc, it would keep 45-50hp 250cc sportsbikes (il4 19krpm redline) honest to 50kmh+ and I went around the outside of many bikes on it, embarrassing the fuck out of people. Don't discount scooters.. a real one can fuck your day up and make you look like a fool.

For all wondering, this is not a 250 swap. 250s dont jump like that, or rev that quick. Its a GY6 engine, starting out as a 150cc, bored and stroked to a 232cc if i had to guess. Probably has a bit of upgearing, as it doesn't pull super hard up top, but most likely the roller weights are on the light side, and the clutch probably grabs late to give a hard launch.

The kid who built it and sold it to me had to be a genius. Kept tearing belts with it. I miss that thing. Sure people laughed when they saw it but they didn't understand how it was so fast, neither did I. I gotta admit a motor swapped cb750 is probably the best motorcycle though. Such a comfortable beautiful model bike. That moped was truly special though, literally had some flames coming out the exhaust when the muffler was removed. Did wheelies on accident. But, it only had a top speed of 55. Didn't need to go faster. Didn't want it to tbh. It wasn't about going fast, it was about getting their quickly. I've grown to appreciate a lot of vehicles, I just heavily dislike when some vehicles are unrealistically fast without explanation and when there's way too many v8 vehicles. Civilians realistically wouldn't be driving anything fast. The average vehicles supposed to be very slow with a top speed of only 75mph.
If I had to guess he put a bigger motor in it, and had it geared lower than normal. It looked like it stopped accelerating at maybe 40-50mph. So he had a motor probably capable of going 70-90, on a vehicle that doesn't weigh much at all, geared half of what it should be that requires no shifting because of the CVT.
heavier clutch springs for higher launch rpm, and heavier torque spring to make sure the cvt doesn't shift early. and you can change your final reduction gear ratio. in actual scooter races 30ft is a common distance for drags, sometimes they will do 1/8 mile. most people who are serious about it also use wet shots of no2. a tuned scooter can smoke almost any car off the line, but of course its going to get walked as distance increases and the scooter reaches its top speed. on a side note good luck getting a scooter engine to spool up a turbo.

its a highly tuned GY6, stock they are 150cc but his is probably past 200cc
