Who in their right mind gave this a thumbs down? That's without a doubt one of the coolest projects I've ever seen. I would love to have something like this in my garage, I just don't have the wall space. I found your video because I'm looking to build a simple folding table, but this totally blew me away. So cool man. Crazy how jealous people can be in this world.
As long as you mostly need the tools when the table is down that's a brilliant solution! I wouldn't put a drill or a screwdriver or any common tools behind the table in case I need them around the house.
It's a space saver for sure. Only keep tools in that cabinet that I know ill use when the bench is down have a 2nd set of ones that are common in the house shop. I definitely learned a lot making the video and from the comments especially the audio. She is pretty easy on the eyes!
This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!
I know this is quite the old video, but, I honestly really like this a lot! I just bought a house, and I am looking to build out a nice shop from my garage, and I have been just stuck on what to do with the space because I absolutely need to have the lowest visual noise but still have everything I need. I love how this table is just not obtrusive or loud whatsoever. I would like something like this, but something like a push button storage, I unfortunately am disabled and physically challenged so having to lift and put down is a bit difficult for me, if I could just press it and have it like pop out, and then I could lower it to the floor that would be awesome, but I definitely love using vertical space, I want as little clutter on my garage floor as possible because I want to do the epoxy rising floors and just open it up and look into something clean and minimal. Sorry for rambling, but I really enjoyed the video and loved the workbench. If I could do something like this and have like a drawer slide all organized tool bench like a vertical stacked drawer system to pair, I might actually get back into metal work. I stopped it after my accident (unrelated) and just been dealing with the lack of ability of movement and all that in my life, so I have been in a runt but because I am moving to somewhere I've always wanted to, and it's more rural it would be nice to change my life and do something new, and I just felt inspired, so maybe I will try it. 🥹
I had in mind to build something similar till I saw this video, but now I have to build this one or this one, no other. Genius idea and great use of the space. Thank you for sharing.
I like it! Maybe put the center brace 2*4 in at an angle and close it up in the legs, and you won't have to leave the brace sitting on top. It just looks like it could easily be knocked down on accident that way and cause injury. Also maybe a small strip along the bottom that the bench top edge would rest behind while it's on the wall. HD has1/4*1/2 shoe molding that would be perfect for that. Put the bump out so it can ride across the top and fall into place super easy. Again, this way no one can pull it down on accident.
Like you, I searched through numerous videos, drew up plans, chatted with others, to come up woth the plan that suited my needs. The hidden tool board is awesome, great idea, and yes, have altered my plans to accomadate this as well. Fantastic job. Afterall, when folks do projects like this, commenters need to remember, there is always another way to skin a cat. However, when a video is made and a project built, they are done so to help others, and built to suit the individual need. I personally do not pay attention to music in videos, if I wanted to listen to music, then I would. Aside from those types of comments, I look for the content, a way to do something better, maybe so I don't mess something ip wasting materials, etc. Awesome man, and thank God for the "muscle", right? They are the best. On of my fav vids at this point.
Thank you very much appreciate the comments. Happy that other find some value in my videos. Considering this was one of my first major ones I think I've come along better with my newer videos.
Great idea. Little tip a piece of brass pipe over the bolts on the legs will increase the longevity, and ease the function of them opening and closing. Still I love it.
All I can think about is that I'll need that one tool that's behind the table, and will have to pull the whole table down just to get to it. But the table part of it is great.
Built a similar one this summer, you can store your cross board in the bottom - I rest mine on the bolts sitting across while I close the legs on it. I've got kids that would find a way to knock the loose board down any other way.
Excellent to hear. It certainly helps with some of the clutter I've had in my garage. As others have pointed out keep a 2nd set of common use tools in another spot so you don't have to drop the table every time to grab a screwdriver!
I have only one suggestion. Purchase some clamps. You will find using them to position boards while screwing them on, and while cutting boards make lift a lot easier.
Great video and cool foldup workbench. Instead of the humming music, I would have rather heard you overlay commentary on steps along the way. Adding your wheels to a hinged 2 x 4 would allow you to fold in the wheels, so your bench legs would sit on solid ground. 👍👍

Besides his gun cabinet.lol @@YourCouchsucks
Great project. I may purchase your plans off of Etsy. Hoping to see more videos from you. Any chance you could not do the 'stop and go' music again? Hate that.
Well done but I do not want to pull down the table every time I needed one of the stored tools such as a level. Also the table shook even when you were wiping the finish onto it. Not stable enough for me.
Yeah, understand makes sense. For me, I have 2nd set of everyday use tools that are not in the storage. The ones that are there are what I would use if the bench is down. As far as the shake the wheels were not locked so I could spin it as needed while putting on the Linseed oil. That said it not as steady as a permeate non-moving workbench so it's a trade-off in the mobility
@@YourCouchsucks Got it, I too have seconds if not thirds of many tools. I am certain locking the wheels would make a serious difference. Excellent video and build.
@@YourCouchsucks Will do. I have recently sold my property of 22 years (11 1/2 acres) which included my two studios, plus a barn and two wood storage buildings an oversized 2 car garage and an 800 Sq Ft shop where I built vernacular furniture for 20 plus years. I now have a 12 x 12 shed which I have gutted and rebuilt and now installing shelving and benches etc, and a 1 1/2 car garage and a 12 X 16 ft room for my art/finishing studio. Now looking for ways to make all this work as my complete shop is now in a storage facility. Space is now at a premium and all help welcomed. Thanks.
I'm new to your channel, and a new subscriber as well. I like this, and am going to give it a shot. I really love that green shirt too. BTW.........thank you for your support.
Cool idea😮, I am just moving into a new home with only a 2 car garage and this would be perfect to help maximize space. Thanks for sharing. New friends here, Keep up the great content.
I’ve been thinking of adding a folding rolling table to the garage but I didn’t want to lose wall space for tool storage. Your solution is genius and is motivating me to build the same. Thanks for sharing.
It's up on the way right no but as of late it's been down off the wall a lot been using it for some other work working projects and as part of my "UA-cam Studio" for some of my other videos.
Interesting design, similar to others, but, I live in an apartment and my small workshop is in the basement, so, a mobile bench would have to fit in the lift, which means initially it would have to be transported in the folded position the only solution I can come up with is to replicate the caster fold out mechanism with 2 castors and attaché it the other side of the main frame, it does not have to be on both sides, any thoughts? I guess the same dilemma occurs if you want to work inside your house or move the bench through the house into the garden?
If you don't have a 2nd set of common tools ie screw drives hammer etc I guess you would. But as time as shown anything I need in the storage is something I'd use when the bench is down..
Video production, lighting, framing, composition, and most helpful would be editing, these will help you produce more interesting content that will keep the attention of your viewers.

I got the rolling bench finished yesterday, I just need to breakdown my make shift sawhorse with old door set up and sweep up and I can get my truck in the garage for the first time in FOREVER!, My husband was impressed with the bench. He said it was the most useful thing I've built so far. Besides his gun cabinet.lol @@YourCouchsucks
Nice job really like the idea of the peg to maximize storage space
Thank you it was a fun project and really had allowed me to do a bunch more work now that I have space!
Amazing. Many thanks
Thank you for the kind words!
Awesome idea!! Thank you
No problem! Great space saving build.
beautiful job mate
Thank you sir!
Brilliant! I would use the same idea, but I rather use 80/20 aluminum frame for lighter table.
Don't have much experience with aluminum work but that would no doubt make it lighter.
Price it out and let us know how that works for you.
Very very Nice
Thank you!
Nice work. Thanks for sharing. How is the lateral stability without any cross braces?
The long 2x4 is a cross brace between the two legs it works relatively well though there is some wobble.
Hi, beautiful workbench!!! Only one question: what is the name of the blue tool you use to screw? Thank you!!!
That's pretty slick, nice job sir!
Thank you very much!
That is a really nice table. Thanks for the video.
No problem hope folks can build their own. It's a great project for organizing a space to work from!
Great idea well done mate
Thank you sir! It's a great way to save some space!
Very nice project, would love that in my garage
Dude awsome love it
Thank you sir! Was even able to do it with half a brain!
Good job.
Thank you appreciate that!
Awesome job.
Thank you very much!
Great project. I may purchase your plans off of Etsy. Hoping to see more videos from you. Any chance you could not do the 'stop and go' music again? Hate that.
Ha! Yeah I did another video recently with the music low underneath the saw sounds etc seems better for sure!
Thanks for the video, great work!
Your Welcome fun project for sure
@@jeffhildreth9244 Take a look have a new smaller miter saw/multi purpose workbench being posted in about an hour
Thanks.
@@jeffhildreth9244 I can understand that for sure! Small 2 car garage with all the lawn equipment and junk doesn't leave alot ot "extra"
Perfect 🤙😉🇧🇪
Thank you! It's worked out well for me over the last 3 or so years.
For a moment I was: why would you make a casing for it instead of just hanging it. Ended up being a cool storage
Was a fun project and finally have a place for some of my tools other than stuffed into a draw.
Génial ! C'est une très belle réalisation au point que l'on n'a pas envie de la salir, mais de s'assoir pour y casser une croute entre copain.
Sweet
I'm new to your channel, and a new subscriber as well. I like this, and am going to give it a shot. I really love that green shirt too. BTW.........thank you for your support.
Thank you its a great project to put together.
Cool idea😮, I am just moving into a new home with only a 2 car garage and this would be perfect to help maximize space. Thanks for sharing. New friends here, Keep up the great content.
Thank you it certainly has maximized space for me and the table size helps a ton with other projects I've been working on!
@@YourCouchsucksI bet. Keep up the good work.
Awesome table, and great video 👍
But I really need the name of the song/track/music . Hope you will give me a clue
HmmmHMMMhmmHMMhmmHMmmMmmHHMMM - song title by The Throats
Awesome !!! #PEACE ✌🏾
Thank you!
Nice project. Don't know about the stopping and starting of the music. Kind of jarring.
Thank you I appreciate the comments. I definitely learned some tips and tricks for better videos from doing this one. Like the audio aspect!
Freaking-incredible!
Thank you. Well worth doing its helped get my garage organized for sure
I’ve been thinking of adding a folding rolling table to the garage but I didn’t want to lose wall space for tool storage. Your solution is genius and is motivating me to build the same. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you it works well for me
In the future I would suggest leaving out the music. Nice table.
Thank you!
Awesome Design, wondering how often it gets put back onto the wall ?? maybe winter only for parking?
Perfekt
Thank you!
Sooo, you have to take the table down every time you need a tool from the peg board?
If you don't have a 2nd set of common tools ie screw drives hammer etc I guess you would. But as time as shown anything I need in the storage is something I'd use when the bench is down..
Video production, lighting, framing, composition, and most helpful would be editing, these will help you produce more interesting content that will keep the attention of your viewers.
Thank you! I appreciate the comments. Hopefully I improved since that was posted 3 year or so ago. Check out some of my other woodworking, DIYprojects, 3d printing and Laser videos. Certainly learning as I go.
