    Great video! If you activate your green card, leave the USA for 5 weeks, return for 10 days after 170 days abroad, leave again, reenter after 125 days, staying for several months, are there potential issues at the border? Should they apply for reentry during the 10 days (waiting for confirmation) and do the biometric entry 2 months later? Is a reentry permit needed if I need a maximum of 11 months to move to the US and then plan to stay for a longer period?

    What about if the US Green Card holder works in Canada or Mexico and comes home to the US every night? For citizenship application, does that day count as being in the US? or if say the leave on Saturday morning and coming back Sunday night?

      The citizenship application only asks about departures of 24 hours or more.

    Planning to visit Italy as a green card holder for a maximum of 7 days do I need a visa? Would I need to take my non us passport and green card to get back into the states ?

    • @DarianLaw
      @DarianLaw  Рік тому

      I don't know if you need a visa. You need to check with Italy. You should assume that you need a visa. You only need your green card to enter the US. You need your passport to enter other countries.

    If I need to travel to Cambodia for a few weeks as a green card holder and without a passport from my country of origin can I still obtain a visa into Cambodia?

    • @DarianLaw
      @DarianLaw  Рік тому

      You probably can't enter Cambodia without a passport. This is a question of Cambodia law so you need to speak with a Cambodian attorney.

    If someone enter the US in 2018 received hthe GC in 2023, he still gonna wait 3 years or 5 years ???

    • @DarianLaw
      @DarianLaw  Рік тому

      If they received their green card through marriage to a USC and meet all of the other requirements, then it's 3 years before they can apply for naturalization. Everybody else has to wait 5 years.
