- UK graphic novel artist and Comics creator, Hannah Berry describes the process of making comics and what inspires her art and writing.
Hannah has now produced three graphic novels - Britten and Brulightly, Adamtine and Livestock - all published by Jonathan Cape.
In this film Hannah talks about her love of comic books and her frustration that they are often still seen as something for children. We get to take a behind the scenes look at how she writes, draws and paints her comic books, as well as some of her other creative inspirations. We also follow Hannah as she meets other comic book creators, Joe Decie and Daniel Locke.
Hannah is inspiring, creative and funny with an infectious passion for what she does. We hope you enjoy the film and would love to hear your thoughts on this medium and do let Hannah know if you have read her work.

Thanks very much for this video. I'm currently looking into doing an Arts Council funding application to get funding for development and eventually the project. It's the first time I've done a Comic Book/Graphic Novel and trying to find out as much as possible and get as much inspiration as possible.

I think people’s attitudes towards things they don’t/can’t understand, don’t want to understand or can’t comprehend is quite baffling to me. Their minds are made up and that’s that.
