Dude, I love this video, I love your attitude . I started drawing about a year ago. Never took an art class until this past year and I find myself drawing all the time, mostly figures drawing, faces are my biggest challenge. "find something that drives you", find a mentor, "draw, draw, draw", "I want you to see what I see". These are great thoughts to live by.
Very inspiring words. I too have a similar story. Comic books (the early Conan ones with the dramatic pen and ink), album covers, and then onto junior artschool, prior to college, I had 2 art teachers that changed my life and now 30+ years later I am still doing what I love to for a living. I've never had to "work" a day in my life. (although, being an artist is in fact hard work) Thank you for your post.
Im at a mental hospital and I really thought medication is my solution.I don't need meds or drugs to make me feel better is art.....Ive let go of my essence of my passion but now I see my real self in you.from today on I will not stop drawing I will not let go of myself.thanks and god bless you in every dream.
If you ever leave art you can become a great motivational speaker. Your art is so good I love it, you definitely have become my mentor. Just keep it up, I am 60 years old an just get back into art, my career was that of a draftsman.
Thanks for crediting your art teachers in secondary for nurturing and inspiring you. They get put down a lot these days..." oh I'm self taught blah blah ! .dont owe no - one nothing ! .ect.
from 1 artist to another "truly inspired" i clicked on this video to see a different poit of view from another creator and by the end of this video you've left me with a better attitude and how to stay motivated, your sketches really do tell a story...
I love the way you feel it drawing comes from your heart "draw, draw, draw" Pation of drawing ,leaving together with the person you draw.,makes your hands talking.Veronica
You are an inspiration! Thank you for creating this video. I have stored you in my favorites to view when I am having a moment of self doubt, you will give me that push to keep moving forward. As you have today.
Your motto "Draw, Draw, Draw" made me inspired. Since I read it in the Urban sketchers page, I have been drawing and sketching in any place and time on my sketch books. You become my strength. You have drawn me to the tribe of Artists. Thank you. God bless you. I hope one of my brothers from abroad will send me your book, "The life of an Addictive sketcher..." I will share a lot from it. Thank you so much again.
Thanks for the great feedback. It was a pleasure to make this film. You should also take a look at the previous film about an equally inspiring pinhole photographer.
I like his take and approach to mining on his hard earned talent. what a way to farm for inspiration and tell countless stories, starting with mankind itself.
Much love ❤️ 🙏 I am a so greatful for other artists. Even " bad " ones , though for me there is so no such thing. Though as far as draftsmanship and technical side of art yes draw draw draw. I love it all ❤️
Art isn't something anyone is born with - no such thing, like you don't come out of a vagina with a paintbrush. Art is a skill that can be learned by EVERYONE, as long as they put the effort into it. Just remember that every artist started by being 'bad'. Make a lot of mistakes at the beginning, but learn from them. Evaluate each piece and tell yourself the parts you need to improve on. It can get overwhelming, so try to split it into categories and dedicating a month to faces, a month to environments etc. Even longer if you want to improve the basics you'd learn over the said month.
You are truly incredible. Watching you talk about art, hearing your experiences and seeing what you create has reminded me of what I love about art. Thank you
a fantastic talent and passionate artist, so refreshing to see genuine black talent w/o the machine (the computer) intervening there are so very few of us left who can do the damn thing, pencil to paper no chaser ...no bullshit !!!!
Mr Alade you are beautiful. I thank you for nurturing and radiating such purpose and oneness and hope that we ALL express ourselves. (As an artist, i scavenge for any and all inspiration, you are huge in that department)
