    A set of 90/10 front shocks, with either 4cyl springs or factory gt springs will leak a lot better. Lakewood makes cheap fronts, strange are probably best but cost more

    Removing the front sway bar has worked for a few friends of mine. That could be your “limiting straps” lol

    Hey Hunter, I finally took my car back to my tuner on Thursday night and after I replaced those ridiculous SpeedFactory Racing coils it ran mint, and burns the R888Rs off in 3rd! It put down 612 whp on 22.5 psi. We could've made more, but 600 whp was my ultimate goal and it did it. My block is built, but it still has stock sleeves with a block guard, so idk how much more I want to push it. It is so fast though, it's scary.

    Loosen the front end up it'll be a monster !!! Lowering springs are killing you change them and you'll see a night and day difference

    I'm not a suspension expert, but would slowing the compression help keep it from bouncing from a full suspension compression? I think you're also right about the front suspension

    Holy hell dude that thing literally looks like a rocket coming out of the hole. Nice job man. Haha it seems like your very similar to how I am as far as your car is concerned, where your proud of the work you’ve done and the amount you continue to learn but your dissatisfied until what you’ve invisioned becomes reality, lol love it man keep doing what your doin.

    Not sure what is available for the fox bodys, but I have 90/10's and moroso trick springs in the front on my Cutlass and it would look like it was trying to pull the wheels with the stock 350 lol. I also have no swaybar on the front. Good to see that you are starting to get it sorted out!

  • @sanger440
    @sanger440 5 років тому

    Your on the right track. Get the front end loose with as much travel as possible. Then you will need at least a single adjustable shock up front so you can tighten the shock on extension to keep from too big a wheelstand. Fox Bodies with anti roll bars should be able to get into the 1.3x sixty foot zone with a loose front end. Once wheelstands become problematic then put a glide in it LOL! It will ET and MPH the same or faster even though your sixty foot may drop off a bit. Good Luck.

  • @rongravel4585
    @rongravel4585 5 років тому

    The front travel def doesn’t help. But I got stuck at 1.4’s before I put the bigger pan and add 1 extra QT Of fluid over full mark. Was a huge help on the hit.

    if you watch the vid you can see the tire flatten out .as the tire trys to rebound is what you think is the car bouncing back.you need to add air to the tire !! on a hard hitting car you should use a stiff wall tire (stick shift tire).I would start with 18 psi cold in the tire and work from there.

    First off sending Emilio from boosted boys those injections was a awesome thing! Really cool I'm here because you did that my friend are doing the same! Idk if i can make a 1/4 mile pass anymore. I'm in Oklahoma and it's all 1/8 mile. The gas pedal would get heavy about 700 feet or my Chicken shit would kick on lol. Car looked better every pass.

    Do some research on mustang instant center. Lowering the back of your lower control arms will keep the tire planted and reduce the bounce. TeamZ and a few other companies make brackets to lower that rear control arm

    90/10 front shocks and soft springs will allow it to wheelie. But wheelies aren’t the fastest. I think a adjustable shock up front and some more suspension travel would be the ticket

  • @johnpreston5634
    @johnpreston5634 5 років тому

    No. 1 improvement will come from improving your rear suspen instant center as JDFabrication has already recommended. Take a peek at Andrew Lavender on UA-cam (2003 Mustang GT) - runs at least 8.50s. Notice how neutral that car is throughout each run: no bouncing up and down in the rear. nothing approaching a wheelie in front. Wheelies are impressive but don't produce better times (plus tend to be very dangerous).

  • @WickedMoto
    @WickedMoto 5 років тому +1

    Need to give it less rebound and more compression. Compression will allow it to squat and not come back up. so you had the right idea just were making the adjustments wrong, needed to adjust the compression not the rebound. need to grab some strange 10 ways up front with proper springs and go full tight on them. Also when making your shock adjustments. go from full tight, not full lose,, there's a video i think from motion race works that explains it and why you do it that way. NO!!!! YOU DO NOT WANT WHEELIES! you're using power to go UP instead of FORWARD! wheelies are cool so if you're just doing it to have that be a goal and something cool then go for it but if you're going for an actual fast car, you want a tight front suspension so you dont pull wheelies. You usually also put more power in the car to fight power wheelies etc.
    remember as us tuners have to know the first half determines your ET. the first 330 is very crucial and going up in the air will not help that and could cause tenths upon tenths lost. now once you get your car dialed in where it goes straight as an arrow and no bouncing, wheelies etc and 1.2 60s etc and is fast as hell, then you can write all the settings down, and then find a wheelie setting if you want to go out and put on a show as well.
