Hey brother I just wanted to give you a shout out. I have been on UA-cam for a little over a decade as a content creator myself. I watched you come on the scene right after your stent in service. I know how I was right after service when I got ALL of my freedoms back all at once, it’s a little overwhelming….and to be fair I still had a lot of wild in me. I watched you go through your transitional period from service to civilian, then from recreational shooter to a professionally well oiled machine that is able to flip the switch to beast mode on demand. I’ve also seen your channel grow exponentially which is 100% deserved but I just wanted to give you some positive feedback from someone who watched you go from one point to another and to see how you have progressed, not only as a shooter, but as a person and your professional endeavors. Thank you for all that you do sharing your knowledge and helping to set a higher standard for the Gun community.
the one gripe i have about aliean gear duty holster is that if there is anything in front of the spring hood it wont drop down and you cant clear your firearm from the holster, so if you are in a grapple and suspect has the front of your holster gripped or the backstrap of your firearm pinned into the holster the hood cant drop down and you cant produce a firearm, same thing for pant materials, hoodie material or a tq thats attached to high on the holster.
The single problem I had with the x300 and what was making it difficult to choose over something like the tlr was the switches. This isn't a perfect solution, but it is damn near close. Thanks for the recommendation Mojo. Love your stuff.
Had one on my X300 Turbo and loved it up until it snapped in half the first time I accidentally dropped it on the ground. Was mounted to an airsoft Staccato XC (same weight as the real one) and dropped onto hardwood from about 3.5 feet. Wish they made one out of a sturdier material, or reinforced the portion of the paddle under the thumb rest.
I had the paddle on the Tlr7a and I returned it. The paddle for that one interferes with your firing hand index finger from easily getting into the trigger area. Yes you can use the smaller one which I also did because I bought small paddles and big paddles. But the small paddles didn’t improve upon the Tlr7a stock high button. For the support hand side, you would have to break the grip to press the small or large paddle. Best way to use Tlr7a is with stock high buttons, and activate it with index finger of firing hand upon drawing firearm
Mojo, been watching your vids for years now. I've never had an issue keeping up with your fast speech cadence; but I just wanted to say I really enjoyed the tempo in this video.
I think I will just add glue to the current one to extend and widen it. At the moment it takes so much effort because it just dives into the finger when pushing it. A little bit more area will make tremendous difference and will not break like that paddle thing. Fixing it has been on my mind for a long time but I just have not gotten around to it.
Good job selling a product Mojo! The X300 is my fav weapon light mainly because I think it looks cool but I am not a fan of the stock switch that comes with it. Surefire has been having some awesome sales on certain retailers websites so they have been more affordable than in the past.
My problem with the paddle is what you explained, the strong hand only light manipulation. I wish they would sell an extension for that side as well that would make it easier to activate. My all time favorite for the X300 will always be the Phlster ARC switches but unfortunately it seems those are not going to be made again.
Carrying the M and P 2.0, it’s almost shocking that not everyone especially those in law enforcement need to hear about a DG Switch. The switch takes you having to break your grip and allows you to apply pressure with your middle finger just below the trigger guard to allow for a momentary deployment of light. This is ample in “MOST” situations but not all. Be it the switch itself is $100, and the material isn’t the greatest it still does its job and does better then whatever breaking grip and one hand is better then two or whatever it is.
I so wish they would make a tan version of it. Both my FNX-45 and M17 have Tan X300's on them. Not a big deal (other than the blacks being out of stock), but an all tan version would be nice.
I bought one, installed it per the instructions and it was super loose and would flex down instead of move the switch down to activate the light. I emailed this to emissary, they sent me another one for free and said some times the tolerances are hard to work with. The new one did the exact same thing. Took it off and it's in storage now. The one for me TLR7A works flawlessly though.
Wonder why trigger-finger activation is not more popular. Light gets activated on the way down to the trigger and then de-activated with the support hand thumb. Very fast and intuitive.
Can we see your AG holster more with the P? Looks like you took the optic hood off the holster. I have the Gen3 AG for a Glock 17 but run a staccato heritage LE P19. Had to do a good bit of sanding to get the staccato to fit
Mojo buys an Aimpoint ACRO P2, iiii buy the Aimpoint ACRO P2, Mojo buys the Emissary paddle thing, i guess iiiim buying the super surefire paddle thing.
You're fast as hell and that's great, though I do wish you had demoed deactivating the light a bit slower. Also, is this compatibly with Safariland holsters? Wasn't clear to me from your comments.
I'm looking at getting an Alien Gear holster. Did you need to do anything to yours to get the Staccato P to fit in it or does it just work from the factory? If so, Glock or Sig model? Thanks.
So has nobody tried slightly loosening the screw behind the switch plate so that you can actually use the index side switch? I found that hack a long time ago and it hasn’t caused any issues and after running TLR-1 HL and Modlite, I got used to using the index. It’s intuitive and easily done without having to modify my grip. I’m asking legitimately, not being condescending. If anyone has had issues I’d like to know but this hack changed the game for me.
Right away my first worry is, intentionally loosening a screw, combined with the recoil of a pistol, just sounds like you're asking for trouble but you're saying it hasn't been an issue? Might have to try this!
@@petercho546 I had the same worries. But the pressure from the back plate being pushed against the batteries keeps everything in place it seems. And it’s not loosened so much that it’s “loose”. It’s just not as tight. I haven’t had any issues and I’m a firearms instructor so I shoot… a lot. It’s also behind a sticker. Not that the sticker itself provides much security but the pressure combined with the adhesive sticker 🤷🏼♂️ seems to be working. Im not the first to try it so I figured I’d give it a shot too and after about a year, no apparent issues.
Nice another item I can never own 😢 weapon lights are illegal in Germany 🤮 but on the other side, our guns are just for sport anyway. We are not allowed to carry them.
@@keenanschouten2582Carry both. They both have their uses at appropriate times. I use my handheld light almost as much as I use my phone. That doesn’t mean a weapon light is dumb or useless. Anyone who is properly trained would never use their wml to search. Just because you may not understand something doesn’t make it dumb.
Wanting a better mechanical interface with a light isn't really a function of a lack of training imo. The Streamlight TLR-1 is popular primarily for its lower cost, but also the switches that tend to work better for most.
I can watch Mojo’s grip work and holstering work all day, it’s so satisfying
I love it when you talk dirty to me
SUPER gay, bro

It’s about freakin time! I love the X300 but the TLR switches are so much better. This finally blends the two.
Yep, especially on a new X300. Super stiff
The TLR switches are way too easy to activate.
@blackout.ghost718if only tlr1s have the goonbeam switches on them
Bro! This has been my biggest gripe with the X300. Also, I need a 10hr Mojo unholstering/holstering video. 😂
My agency is moving to alien gear and I’m excited for it 🔥

See my comment brother. It’s changed my life with the X300s. So long as nobody else has seen future issues from it, it’s made a world of difference.

That first reload proves why a magwell is essential on a duty gun
I've been rocking these since their initial release, absolutely a game changer. I got all my friends to get them now lol
Definitely would love to see some gear reviews more on this channel
Except it isn’t.. he is reloading like that without a handgun
This is a godsend mojo. Love my X300 Turbo, hate the switch

Which retailers? I'd like to get another M340 Turbo.
@armorers_wrench Primaryarms had some good sales over the summer and I picked one up from them.
This is one of those things that is a must have.
I use DG switches for my X300s, all I have to do is grip the gun to turn on the light.
A nice little platform to help you throw your shots low and right. 100%!
Thank you for validity impulse purchase!

I was just thinking yesterday about replacing my X300 cause I hate the switch… maybe I’ll opt for this instead.

I myself run the Staccato P DPO w/ the Surefire X300U and the Safariland holster. ✊🏿
Tbh, if you sold tacticool button downs like the ones you're wearing now, people would buy them. Love the content. See that stacatto is getting used.
Or you could just not be gay
Good and insightful video, Mojo! I appreciate it. Also…..when are you gonna ditch WA State and come to Idaho?
Bro Mojo you would have won the Wild West brother
Wonder why trigger-finger activation is not more popular. Light gets activated on the way down to the trigger and then de-activated with the support hand thumb. Very fast and intuitive.
Because of the slip and captured theory and the chance of an ND

Honestly, sounds like the old Pre-DG18 pressure pad for X-series lights would still be an improvement over this.
Always solid info bro. Thanks 🇺🇸🥃

7sub on a g19 with the antimatter flip out paddle is where its at
Mojo question is there a reason you don’t use a pressure switch(DG) on the pistol?
“I use my knuckle to turn it off. Did you see that?” No Mojo, I did not. You did it too quick haha
They fell off my staccato 6390RDS due to contact with the holster 😢
Got me all excited. And…. Out of stoc ☹️
Good dope!! But dang bro, bring back the stash !!!
How are you likeing the front window cover for the Acro? I was thinking about picking one up.

Awesome review. What style/model of Kuhl shirt are you wearing?
Didn’t like the bang hanger?
Thanks mojo for selling me a switch for my glock...
Off topic, what mount do you run on your holster for your TQ?
Mojo! Nice
Personally like the Phlster Arc Switches more for the X300 but those are discontinued.
Probably because a lot of people toasted switches installing them
Neat
What model of the alien gear holster and mods did you have to do for that staccato ?
Anyone know if it works with Glock and Safariland 6354RDS
It’s a shame this is out of stock at the moment 😂
What pants are you wearing in this video?
maybe a weird take but what shirt is that Mojo? doesn't seem to get wet in those conditions and looks neat
Kühl Airspeed. His looks to be the older version.
Mojo rocking a P now? Where’s the Glock?
Just train with what you have!, no need
Does it work with IWB holsters?
Yeah it’d be nice if the left handed version hasn’t been out of stock for over 2 years
