Karen, love the colors of the pinks! One question...why did you use gold melt and pour instead of just using gold mica in vodka or other high grain alcohol?
I've tried that alcohol thing and it smudged AFTER saponification, maybe I'm doing something wrong with it.
I love it ! I love the colors, different and fun. Do you ever use tallow or lard in any of your soap recipes ? Even with an 8% super fat I struggle with ash and thought maybe using different fats might help. Thank you and love your channel and soaps.
I'm one of the lucky ones that never get ash. I too do an 8% superfat, palm oil, coconut oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, cocoa and shea butters in my recipe

Could it be your water/lye concentration? I just started water discounting and I really don't have a problem anymore. I also spritz with 97% iso for extra insurance though.
Hi Megan, I use a 33% W/L concentration. I will look for 97% , so far I've only found 91. Thank you !
Thank you, I use similar ingredients, except for the sunflower. Maybe I'll try switching it out, never can tell.

Hi Sarah, which moulds, do you mean the silicone loaf mould liner inside the wooden box, or the box itself? The silicone liner is from Brambleberry and the wooden moulds I had made at my local woodmakers after I measured the liner of course. If I answered wrong, please let me know, I'll come back to your comment to see if you've replied.
