Very well done cutscene, Double Agent remains one of the best Splinter Cell games and probably the last really great one. I still enjoyed Conviction just for Sam's arc (as a splinter cell game it's a bit lacking) but Blacklist was awful
It kind of makes me sad looking back at this. Ubisoft made amazing Splinter Cell games. I just don't know why they felt the need to try and make SC more action oriented. Not only that but they got rid of Michael Ironside. In Blacklist, Sam doesn't even feel like Sam anymore. He feels like a generic soldier, rather than a badass with a sense of humor.
this is by far the best intro ever, I have this game for both Ps3 and Ps2 and I love it, the music is sick, the background music in this game is sick, well Ubisoft, you are truly a great developing/publishing team, and this game rocks, I think this is the best Stealth game released ever, the musi is sick, the graphics are awesome, best stealth game!!
@RichieDaGangsta He thru them into the ocean when he found out his daughter died, he pretty much quit then and there. considering after he was rogue in conviction.
Hey there was just messin around with this all seen ya on here under people near me trying to make a new friend or two local hope your week started off right.
@TheAssassin98 you had to look at the way he threw those goggles in the water, it simbolised the agony hes been through during all his missions, and also showed that his nerves had reached a limit. RichieDaGangsta ;D
@calimahonda uh actually no.. xD but good guess, he simply fucked up during his mission (which rarely happens with the NSA's best spy) and the night vision goggles in the water simbolises the agony, and it also shows that his nerves have reached a limit. But he never wanted to leave, but anyway you were quite right, this is just a little difference ;D
That guy was sam fisher? he looks loads younger o.0 Both sides like what , the guys he worked in chaos theory? and another group? tell exacly plz , thanks , oh btw , when did the game come out?
**SPOILER ALERT** . . . . . . . this cutscene alone and the build up to the cutscene is the reason why I think Sarah should've been kept dead, there's too many stories out there where the main character gets his or her happy ending with pretty much no cost...ok so "no cost" is pushing it a bit since Sam does kill Lambert as part of the main story yet in Blacklist everything seems to be a bit too back to normal (normal in a there's now a 4th echelon and its HQ can fly kind of way), it just feels like all the bad stuff that Sam went through in Double Agent & Conviction is being treated like filler, it almost feels like Sam is just going **shrug** "I guess Lambert's not here anymore, better get back to work" I don't know, maybe I'm reading into this a bit too much but it feels like the only reason Sarah was bought back was simply so Sam was kept in the series.
I don't consider Blacklist to be canon, Sam Fisher doesn't act like himself in that game and more like a generic Call of duty protagonist. He lost all his character and going back to working with the government was ridiculous. Conviction was a flawed game but it finished his arc well, no need for more Fisher. They should have retired him
Fun fact : Splinter Cell should've ended with Conviction, because it doesnt make sense. Fisher said "I'm walking" to Grim, meaning that he's done with everything. But Ubisoft decided to make Blacklist to revive the game, which is bad for the lore.
@@journey95far49 Yeah, Fisher had enough with the Government. In the end of Conviction, he showed a slight anger despite the guilt towards Lambert and said "Ask Lambert. I've done too much already." Because his best friend lied to him and Lambert's decision indirectly made Fisher killed him.
*The soundtrack and cinematography is Hollywood movie worthy. Has that feelings or emotions that are missing in today's games.*
From interviews Michael ironsight sam voice actor has a hands on during the writing
Who else teared up watching this cutscene the first time?
The first time I saw this I was very impressed with the production. The music fits SAMs spiral downward perfectly, a storm on the horizon.
True. This scene is Hollywood movie worthy. Has that feelings or emotions that are missing in today's games.
This scene also marked the end of the traditional Splinter Cell series. It became a different game after this mission (unless you had the PS2 version)

ofenderz ikr? Ubisoft said they didn't want to make Sam a generic super soldier and that's what they did to him in blacklist
To be fair Ubisoft didn't get rid of Ironside the actor himself was just done with the series after Conviction [which is pretty understandable].
ofenderz what if splinter cell 7 returns the old mechanics
@@LC3andZ Ironside is back.

Shame they've forgotten about the series 😢
Yeah, this comment definitely aged like milk.
Such a beautifully done cut scene. But why was the "Is that all you got? C'MON!" cut out?
this game is so under rated
it also gives the gamer a real sense of how sam must have felt after he found out his daughter died.
I miss this
Dude the nostalgia. Best cutscene ever. Love the music.
Always feel this 𝕏
0:28 can someone make this as gif
been so many years and i still remember that moment as a whole introduction of double agent
Wow! After 14 years I still enjoy this cut scene! What a great game ever created
love this cinematic, love the game
this is art
I got so addicted to this game series that this made me cry. I even sighed with relief when I found out that -SPOILER ALERT!- Sarah never died.
8 months remaining from the overgoverned dark.

@Shawnamenard its a sign to show he quit, and those goggles are his signature.
0:27 Lambert: Sam I'm really sorry about your daughter, but Really? Those goggles were expensive as hell.
Lmfao.

RichieDaGangsta ;D
@Danial79 it was realeset for pc xbox360 xbox ps3 ps2 nintendo wii and gamecube.
1:36, "He hated to see a good man fall so far",then we see Sam been knoked down-----I don't take it, what did he do?
Помню такую озвучку в этой игре на каком языке она интересно
Love the music here, anyone knows the name of it?
