Really wanted to return to Splinter Cell, so here we go! In my opinion this is the best version of Double Agent (The version for PS2, Xbox, Gamecube and Wii) and managed to play it on Xbox One X. I'm not the best stealth gamer out there, but do really enjoy these games. Enjoy. :)
Perhaps the most balanced Splinter Cell game ever made in mix of the first and third game. The plot could have done better in order to bring an acceptable fifth game.
I think both versions are good in their own ways, but in hindsight I would agree with you. Version 2 does a better job setting up the story and I like how the gameplay is similar to Chaos Theory. At the same time, the undercover missions sucked and so did the trust meter.
It's honestly incredible how much better and more intricate this mission is compared to its next gen counter part. The X360 one is so small compared to this with incredibly linear level design. This mission is pretty linear at the start but once you get to the factory it opens up.
I bought this Splinter Cell on Microsoft web for Xbox one.....hell I never believed I will get another chance to play this game since I sold my Wii. Thank you so much for video Willzyyy!!!!
@@tis4657 this version was still good though, i mean compared to 360 version and conviction and blacklist this was still good. I liked how you play both sides, every mission had consequences for what you do
@@Gencturk92 Totally agree that this is the superior version for me. Feels like Chaos Theory part 2 gameplay wise. I mean that this is the last time you see the Sam with his sarcastic sense of humor and smarmy responses to Lambert.
Splinter Cell Double Agent for PS2 and Wii was much better than versions for PC, Xbox-360 and PS3 which were better only in graphics, but missions were very short. Splinter Cell DA for PS2 and Wii also benefits player with that mission in subway which PC, Xbox360 and PS3 players never played. I love version for Wii and PS2 it brings me back into my childhood......so big nostalgy.
I remember a long time ago when I played this game and it took so long for me to figure out what to do(I was around 8 years old when I got to play it even though it was 2 when it came out
14 years and they still haven´t ported this to PC. Why, Ubisoft, why?? You could satisfy the hungry and desperate SC fans (like me) who haven´t gotten a new game in 7 years and earn an easy extra buck on it (which is what you want). For fu**s sake, if you´re already bothering remaking PoP, then just task someone with porting this, pretty pretty please! PS: I´m still annoyed they didn´t put that takedown from 21:25 to the PC version of Chaos Theory (they did in the console versions I believe). Sure, there´s only maybe 2 missions where you could use it, but man, would that´ve been sweet... Damn Ubisoft and their console-exclusive content for the early SC games (yes, I´m also looking at you, Nuclear Power Plant mission).
If you still didn’t manage to get your hands on the game, you can emulate it with the Dolphin Emulator on PC, that’s the one I used and it worked pretty well.
@@andytoskovic Yeah I´ll have to do that eventually (with other games as well), probably later this year. The chances of this version ever getting a proper PC port are very much zero, especially considering the overall state of the franchise...
I've kept my original Xbox collection for 12 years and have no intention of getting rid of it. I thought I'd work my way backwards from Conviction as I feel the older games are true gems.
I'll never understand what people see in this version, I found version 1 to be much more enjoyable. This version is actually my least favorite Splinter Cell game. I'm not sure if I'm just not seeing it or Chaos Theory fanboys are overrating it.
Well, it plays like chaos theory and chaos theory was the best ( it still is) si, when you are a chaos theory fan , you love this version. The other version is good but some changes are really useless ( like the sound and light meter gone)
@@papytromblon The light and sound meter being taken out I will agree is a bad change, especially since the singular light can be very unreliable. I thought this was a major step down from Chaos Theory. Graphics felt toned down (granted, I did play the PC version of CT but still), level design ranged from ok to awful. No level really stood out to me too much, compared to multiple that did in version 1 and of course CT's amazing levels. And the story didn't do it for me, I was more engaged with version 1. Maybe one day when I replay it I'll see it from another perspective.
@@nordicrain well i didn't hate version 1. It still feels like a splinter cell classic. But , as a chaos theory fan, finding the exact same gameplay in version 2 was a pleasure because i could do the classic moves very fast. It's true that the level design of version 2 is not as good as CT but i like it more than version 1. Probably because there is so much Darkness in version 2 and the levels are very Big also. Version 1 has some good moments. I prefer the version 1 jba levels a lot more than v2 where they were boring. I prefer the first level in version 2, the level design is better and also the révélation of sarah's death. I like both Kinshasa levels. Version 1 has a lot of light and is very open. Version 2 feels like a splinter cell 1 level with lots of Doors and hallways. Version 2 feels better for me because i am a fan of the first three splinter cell and double agent version 2 is splinter cell 4 for me. Contrary to version 1 which feels like a gap between chaos theory and conviction The only thing that bother me is that both version are not very good technically. Version 1 doesn't run well and version 2 is not as good as CT ( less détails, less effects)
@@papytromblon I can see where you're coming from, and agree with many of your reasons. I'll definitely try going into it with more of an open mind next time. Though I doubt anything will make me like that final boss fight, the hell even was that.

This version is different from the pc version i played back on 2006 why ?!!!
@@stealthprince3863 Did the one you play look like the old version (Xbox, PS2 etc.) or the new version(Xbox360)?
That ol' start up XBOX screen. It sure brings back memories of the ol' original retro machine.
I included it for nostalgic reasons. :)
This one is the better version
Yeah
I played splinter cell for almost 100 times i know where the shortcut the pattern of enemey all of them
What really chaps my ass is the steam store uses images from the original version but in reality steam uses the second version
Version for PC, Xbox360 and PS3 is sh*t.

When Lambert said those crates need to be secured.. you have to turn back.. and there's 2-3 guards outside
Yeah man.
This was the video I’ve been looking for! The nostalgia is hitting at its finest. The more the mission does through the more I remember playing it
This version of the mission makes so much more sense than on the pc version.
This was my First Splinter Cell Game i had on my PS2 Console and it was amazing! :D
me too. I was surprised when I found out there was another version, and I had the best in playability

Woo, Double Agent! I've never finished this game (didn't go further after that Russian ship level), but I love it. Great choice!
The russian ship, the one where they could taze and capture you, right? Never got past that level too.
@@setin843 This one :) I got impatient and always give up on this level.
This missions the last time you see the Sam Fisher you knew from SC1 and CT.
Don't forget Pandora Tomorrow!

Loved Splinter Cell. Wish they'd make a new one
5:10 so Hisham is invisible ?? LOL
Lmao I think the AI only sees and answers to Sam
From what i can remember i play this mission alone without any partner.
This is the best version of Double Agent, I played this game over and over back in middle school after it came out
This first mission was so hard on hard.
Is it weird I think this game (this version) is on par and equal to chaos theory?

So you can play the og xbox version and 360 version on xbox one, how can you do that?
Just put the disc in the console 🙂

I see there was a version 2? I missed this one what system? It looks much cleaner.
