    THAT ACCESSORY BAR DOH!!! what a fantastic idea, perfect for D&D, can prop up you DMG and you could leave it all under there to come back to exactly where you left off and no one would be none the wiser!!!!

    That's a pretty impressive table - you can see the precision when you're putting the three sections in at about 5:18 and the air pressure from the last one lifts the other two.

    • @JKSSubstandard
      @JKSSubstandard 7 років тому +4

      I mean, you could pull this off without the planer and a lot of the special tools. The only things that a normal joe might not have are the table saw, planar and the router. Of course you can simplify the design, take out the fun connections and just drill and dowel the ends of things. The router would only really be required if you want the outside rail. Projects like these are as hard or easy as you make them.

    This is amazing. The only complaint I ever have about these types of build guides is true for nearly every one of them. Over 95% of the people who would watch this, if not a higher percentage, have zero access to the tens of thousands of dollars of shop equipment that is needed to make something like this. Seriously. Once again, this table is amazing, but almost no one is going to have access to build something like this.

      check your city for a maker space... they are popping up in quite a few places. renting time in a makerspace woodshop might be waaaay more affordable that you might think. especially if you enjoy woodcraft.

    • @mdaddyw_1323
      @mdaddyw_1323 Рік тому

      Aside from renting like Kirk mentions, you don't actually need the setup of a shop like this. He's just showing you how he does it in his professional shop. There are lots of people on UA-cam that show you how to set up a woodworking shop for under $1000. Steve Ramsey is continuously updating his list for this. You absolutely can do it with this cheaper setup, but it requires more use of hand tools vs. power, more time with setups, and will involve more time on finishing work/sanding because those tools aren't going to be as clean with your lines as the professional grade power tools. Either way there's hours of sanding, but more so when using consumer grade tools.
      Other than say, a domino, these tools don't do anything the cheaper tools can't. They do it faster, more precisely, in a more easily repeatable fashion. Even a domino can be functionally replicated
