- The Editor is essential for any game engine as it allows you to make levels and interact with many systems of the engine like physics, animations, etc. But recently, I found a way to make game in Unity without using the editor. Meaning, that I will have to do everything in code, haha... I'm dead!

Except for the technomasochism.. why? the real question is can you make a game with the unity editor without using the unity runtime :D?
True, haha! You would be surprised, but yes. You can make a game that runs inside Unity Editor, using only editor scripts.
@@Inner-Chaos sorry I phrased the comment wrong. Yes Editor level scripts can be used to make a game in the editor alone however the comment was meant rather as a cheeky stab at ditching the unity runtime to avoid the runtime fee. This can be done too, one "just" needs to find a different runtime and probably export the entire scene format and assets to a format that other runtime can read. Just in case you were looking for a similar challange :P
@fleity oh I get it now. But I don't think there is any way to build something without using Unity runtime. Unless you make a different game engine that can load and render Unity scenes and components.
And then Unity would probably sue you for this haha.
