You can download a app on your phone and you can basically place a daf truck using your camera and with it you can also place the interior and in it you can see it has a little hump on the floor not more than a good 2/5 CM
I've been to the Malvern truckfest and spoken to a spokesperson at daf. They have said the reason why the floor is not completely flat in their XG+ model is to stop dirt and debris from going across the cab from drivers boots
This is exactly what I was thinking must be the reason, Stavros himself was complaining about dirt getting in his cab with his Scania in one of his past videos "Because the sides of the floor mats weren't high enough." Meanwhile I was thinking a small hump would take care of that. Plus putting higher sides on the floormats would just create a hump again? Also, I've never heard anyone complain about the humps in the floors of trucks, even if you don't think they're useful for keeping dirt out of the rest of your cab, they don't get in the way as long as they aren't higher than 10-15cm (and I'm being conservative in that) Bottom line I think flat floors in trucks is nothing more than a (marketing) gimmick, and is actually annoying at best to actually have other tan some sort of bragging rights
