Fastest growing huh? Bold claim. But I promise you this, of all of the UA-cam channels in Brooklyn focused on fire escape grilling, yours is definitely my favorite. By the way, did you hear Franklin's burned down a couple weeks ago? I'm not making that up. I wouldn't joke about that.
Your favorite UA-cam channel in Brooklyn focused on escape grilling? I'll take it. Thank you for the high praise! No I didn't hear that about Franklin's. That's terrible. I was down in Austin a few months ago and went to La Barbecue. Didn't think we'd get in to Franklin's because of the line.
You were probably right about that. Did you like La Barbecue? Yeah, the Franklin's news was sorta dwarfed by Hurricane Harvey. That's probably why you missed it.
La Barbecue was unbelievably good. Waited in line for close to an hour. Lone Star helped the time pass. Had the brisket, a link and some sides. Next time I'd get more brisket. Some of the best I've ever had.
Fire Escape Griller Franklin's didn't burn down, though their smokehouse was destroyed & they got some damage to the restaurant. They're going to repair things & reopen when they can, last I knew!
I just recently discovered this video. OMG, how amazing is the taste! So much so that I have made these 6 times in the past fortnight. I did end up replacing the chilli sauce with Sweet Baby Rays Buffalo Wing Sauce, as I find the end result slightly less acidic. Thankyou for taking the time to make this video. :)
I also have a Weber Q, we love it...me and my 13 year old son. He said its his. I won it in a drawing at my jod last December. What i do...i go to wing stop and buy the cajun and lemmon pepper sauces. Love your videos.
That's great. I have two boys myself that help out with the grilling and camerawork. Never been to Wingstop but I guess I should check the place out. Are the sauces bottled?
As usual GREAT JOB! You own the Weber Q space on youtube! What's the difference in Frank's Hot Sauce and Tabasco?? I am a big fan of Tabasco and I recently bought a bottle of Tapatio and it is VERY impressive. The heat stays in your mouth a few minutes with Tapatio verses Tabasco.
Franks has the authentic Buffalo wing flavor. That is how wings are supposed to taste. I love Tabasco too, but when I make wings I use the Tabasco to turn up the heat, because Frank's isn't that hot. I like Tapatio on burritos sometimes.
Going to try this method this weekend . Question, you mention cooking the wings on high heat, but is that direct or indirect? On my grill model Q3000 if I did it direct the temp would be over 700 degrees.
I actually have a Weber roasting rack. Somehow I got lucky and got one of the last ones before they were discontinued in the U.S. I made a video on this and some people in the comments found racks. Check it here: ua-cam.com/video/Zb-hhxiRWFo/v-deo.html
Brian I never get tired of watching your videos over and over.
Thanks Willis. Really appreciate you watching. Cheers man!

Love that recipe! Great channel. Greetings from Iceland. Keep on grillin'!
Great video! Roasting the wings really helps break down all the connective tissue too, it's a great way to cook them.
Thank you sir! These were fall-of-the-bone indeed.
Those look delicious. I will definitely try that recipe. that's for another great video.

Indirect. You will love this sauce!
Great video, thanks for sharing!!!!
Thanks for the kind words, Paparoach!
another great one
totally gonna try this one too! Do I have to use the roasting rack?
I read an article yesterday that wings will be more expensive this year cause demand for wings has skyrocketed.
Hopefully this video won't accelerate that demand any further.
Any luck finding a suitable replacement for the roasting rack?

Franklins is definitely my go to in austin lol
I've never been... the line is too long. But I did go to La Barbecue in Austin and it was incredible!
ah yes been there also! Franklins lines is ridiculous lol
Hot dmn. These looked perfect!
These were goooooood.
Mate ...they look good
I love wings, and these were fantastic! Thanks for watching, Luckypete.
Baby Q 1000 or 1200 ?
I'm using a Q1200. It has a slightly taller lid and the side tables. It's worth the extra $ if considering between the two.
