Hi, great job, thanks again ! So if I understand well, we can work on a v16 PC Runtime project version on TIA V17 (it's not like a WinCC Pro => one Runtime version maximum in the engineering PC). And it's important to have UDT in library in V16 project to be able to work on V17, so if my customer has an Unified PC Runtime V16 licence, is it possible or to work on my TIA V17 software (he will not need to upgrade his licence) ? also, I can't work anymore on TIA V16 software version because of the user administration (now linked to TIA V17, right ? Hi @Mehdi Aidel, yes with TIA V17 you have the possibility to engineer a V16 & V17 Unified PC Station. If you do not add the UDTs to the library before you upgrade to the V17 the Faceplate interface connection to get lost and you need to reengineer it again. If your customer has an Unified PC Runtime V16 licence, you can work with the TIA V17 and a V16 Unified device. If you change the device to the V17 to use new functionality than you need to upgrade the customers Runtime. If you had used project user in the V16 you can still use them. But if you use only the UMCAdmin from the configuration tool to login to your Runtime this is now not possible anymore. You definitely need project user You are welcome.

Have they changed how trends are configured? Or is the variable still hidden in the Subsubsubsubsubsubsub-menu ? are there any plans to release a mobile app (which could be basically a frameless browser)? Dynamic format / format detection? (detecting how the phone/tablet is held?)
Hi Kay, For the Trend you have now the possebility to use drag and drop to connect a online tag. But if you want to connect a logged tag you need still to go to the subsubsub menu. In the runtime Manager you have the possebiliy to activate a autoscalling which Adapt the screen to the browser window. His maybe help for the dynamic format.

But, still when I try to simulate my Unified panel from this V16 he is not accepting my username and password. I check in my security settings in TIA V16 and nothing has changed there, all users are define, everything looks good but still when I run simulation it is showing me the error just like you showed here in your video. What should I do?
Hi Simion, you must have overwritten the user management during the download. I think you do this :-D I would try to convert the station to a V17 Station load it again to check if this works. If yes change it back to V16.
Hi, thank you for all of your vids. I'm struggling with some issues when I want to login in the ucm server in v17. I didn't create a global user but tia portal keeps asking me an user with the permit "Um View" in the UMC server. And I don't even know where the UMC server is. Please, if anyone knows anything about this but I'd appreciate the assistance. Thank you.
@Irene Rios, you need the UMC server only for a central user administration. If you want to work with local users you should not get any messages. Where does the message appear? during the download?
@@DerHecht40 thank you for answering, I had solved the problem. I had created a new local user with admin permit. Now I'm able to login in the ucm server with that user.

yes that is stupid. It currently only works for the PC Station not for the Panels
Thought of upgrading the project and download it straight away to the HMI...👍

Hallo Andreas, das Raster scheint in Unified noch nicht zu funktionieren. Die Einstellungen haben nur Einfluss auf WinCC Advanced/Prof
