No, you can catch Bagon in a cave on one of the DLC extensions, and I have seen the final Ev. of Bagon = Salamance, in that same cave. It's just random how they appear.
More information on Mint island: each one of the spots corresponds to the boosting stat of the mint. Starting at the wishing spot and going clockwise around the island is Speed (near the wishing spot, Timid, Jolly, Hasty, Naive), SpDef (roughly quarter way clockwise), SpAtk (not quite halfway), Atk (inland side of tall tree), and Defense (next to the wishing spot but counter clockwise. All of the spots also have serious mints. It doesn't really take much more time to check the other spots, but if you're looking for a specific mint, they'll only appear in spot I described.

Hey thanks! I didn't know half of these facts! I am, however, going to have to unsubscribe because you said ball fetch works with all Pokeballs, and it didn't work with a master ball for me.
You don't even need to do the convoluted held item thing for seeing what TMs a Pokémon can learn, just go to check summary and then to the move tab and then if you go into the move details you can press X to go to your TMs from there directly and it'll show the same list. This is more convenient for me since I like to see the moves I already have and I can also quickly move up and down through my team and check all of their moves.
9:33 I dont know if this has been shared already but another way is to check your pokemon's summary, get to the page showing its moves, press X and it'll bring up the TM's the same way it was shown here.
Heres a tip!!!! To evolve milcery, get a strawberry sweet and put the milcery on your team. Then, take the strawberry sweet and have the milcery hold it. As fast as you can, get out of the menu and start to spin, until you strike the pose. Your milcery should evolve into an alcremie!!! If it didn't work, you did it wrong!!!
For the TMs thing there is another way that I find to be more intuitive. Check Pokemon summary then go to moves. On the bottom right, it says to press X for TMs. It then brings up the list in the bag showing the compatible TMs in the same way as you showed.
Thanks for the great video as always. I missed this tip in the stream but I never knew about the free shake after the tree does the fast shake. If you want to know I had waffles and a cup of tea for breakfast. Looking forward to the stream!
for tip #4 the ball fetch. this is something that the pokémon game actually do tell us. it's in the pokédex description, if you bother to read it. EDIT: sorry my fault, it's not in the pokédex, it might have said so in the trailer it was revealed in, or in the description when you look at it's ability.
Already knew the tree shaking patterns and the icon swaping things in the first few hours of the game, also the mint island was also quite easy to understand, the TM trick already worked in earlier games so nothing new there, i think the premier thing also work in the last game too. the other things were knew to me though.
Another important thing to take into consideration is that the Battle Ready Mark can't be given to Pokemon with moves that are unavailable in Sword and Shield, like Hidden Power. You'll have to remove those moves before you can get it.
For 6, I didn't realize what you meant by not shaking. I get that half the time I just assumed meant I'm clear to keep shaking. Like with Honey trees in gen 4 that it usually meant you hadn't attracted a Pokemon yet with Honey.
For tip #6, there are 3 levels of shaking. We have no shaking, slow shaking, and fast shaking. If you get the fast shake right off the bat you don't get a free shake.
You can get a better TM/TR learning screen by going into the Pokemon's summary, checking the moves, and selecting one of them. It'll give you a prompt to open your TM/TR selection by hitting Y and it'll highlight all the moves you can learn in much the same fashion as with the held item menu, however you can teach the pokemon the moves in that screen rather than being forced to have the pokemon hold the disc instead.
I forgot to save after I caught a shiny dratini, next I evolved accidentally leveled it too 100 didn’t know you could evolve it at level 100 so I reset and it was gone

I can confirm that you can mostly shake the tree 1 more time after it's fast, but occasionally I still get an encounter. I'd say it works like 95% of the time, honestly.
One thing I love about my main Pokémon I use, sylveon can do love charm. I like it because when it does, the opponent Pokémon has a chance to not be able to attack sylveon. Especially when the pokemon has low hp. But I also like when there’s a strong attack Pokémon use but it fails IF it’s an opponent. If urs fails. It’s pretty annoying :/ but when you do an attack that never misses/fails. It’s better that’s why those are the attacks I use the most. Also. I recommend exploring the map before completing the story as it makes it more interesting to find different types of Pokémon, I also recommend finding dynamax/g max Pokémon in the wild area.
About hot tip #10, getting multiple premier balls at once. This actually also works for all the Switch era Pokémon Games, namely Let's Go and BDSP. Because I never played the older games, I didn't even know of this limitation of 1 premier ball per bunch purchase that the games used to have.
How do you get the strong pokemon to respawn? Like the onyx at the beginning of the game and the others outside the grass. If you runaway why do they disappear.
I’ve had a Pokemon appear on the first shake after the tree starts shaking fast, so there is no safe shake after that point. Example, I go to a tree that has not been interacted with, I shake it, it’s already fast, I shake it again, I get encounter.
Just started playing sword, I heard about finding pkm in camping, but did not know it that it doesn't happen in Wild area.. Using that tm trick can you actually teach your Pokemon from that menu? Or do I just have to remember everyone that was marked?
There is an actual way to find the TM moves a Pokémon can learn that was built into the game- Go to summary of the Pokémon, go to it’s move list, and at the bottom it will say “TM”. I think it’s attached to the X button when you go to it. It’s not necessarily easier, but it is the actual built-in method of checking teachable moves. Just a random fact.

@@PKMNcast it hasn’t appeared when I look at my Pokédex for some time. I wonder if it’s because I have the dex completed but I don’t think that’s why. It would be nice to see it to find more plentiful Pokémon.
So one tip for the TM one you can also go to the Pokémon’s summary and go to the move section, hit A and then X. It’ll bring you to the TM list and you can see which TMs the Pokémon can learn.
I love Yamper and it's ability. I did this while hunting Rare Mark Keldeo with a Lure Ball to match but alas, it broke out and ended up using a Net Ball. I was going to add that when Yamper faints, Passimian's Receiver ability will kick in but I only had one Lure Ball.
Didn't know I could use rare candy to make level 100 Pokémon evolve. Worth noting, in Isle of Armor there are stat reducing berry trees that drop exclusively one type of berry and if you shake it when it's fast you'll lose everything.
I'm happy I found this in my recommended section. It gives me a new channel to check out. I knew most of these tips and tricks already but a few were new to me like the curry pokemon and the battle tower marker guy. Also I had chicken lo mein for breakfast
Is the Battle Ready thing useful in telling if your Pokémon was hacked, modded, or otherwise a product of tampering with the game? I'm a bit of a purist and I have some questionable ones. I've always wanted to do competitive play, but always paranoid that one of my shinies or level 100s isn't legit.
Tip! If you shake a tree and it starts on a fast shake, don’t shake again because your first shake counted as the one free shake you get when it shakes fast. i said shake a lot
If you get the DLC for Pokemon and already finished the game do you need to restart it? I want to get the DLC but I just got all the Eevee evolutions and I don't want to lose those
I’m trying that hunting Pokémon through recommendations but I’m not sure if this is a old video but the place saying where it is they’re not showing up at all. So is it a bug?
Also an additional info for battle ready pokemon, the guy will make your pokemon forget any egg moves or tm moves. For example, i have a milotic that knows toxic that I transferred over from Omega Ruby. However, if I were to make her battle ready, she will not longer know toxic and can not learn it again since Toxic is not a tm in sword and shield

So one tip for the TM one you can also go to the Pokémon’s summary and go to the move section, hit A and then X. It’ll bring you to the TM list and you can see which TMs the Pokémon can learn.
Yeah, there are like 4 ways to do it, it's cool
@@PKMNcast it is
7:47 That's a normal thing that can happen. If you get no shake after shaking the tree then you are guaranteed to be safe for one more shake.
I'll have to look into this, thank you!
I'm happy I found this in my recommended section. It gives me a new channel to check out. I knew most of these tips and tricks already but a few were new to me like the curry pokemon and the battle tower marker guy. Also I had chicken lo mein for breakfast
Thank you so much and what a breakfast!
It’s not a hack check, Pokémon HOME would yell at you if it was hacked, but also not that reliable
@@PKMNcast You mean if I try to move it from HOME to Sword and Shield, it will alert me without putting a ban on my game?
Tip! If you shake a tree and it starts on a fast shake, don’t shake again because your first shake counted as the one free shake you get when it shakes fast.
i said shake a lot
If you get the DLC for Pokemon and already finished the game do you need to restart it? I want to get the DLC but I just got all the Eevee evolutions and I don't want to lose those
Is glimwood tangle the only place you can get Pokémon from curry?
I’m trying that hunting Pokémon through recommendations but I’m not sure if this is a old video but the place saying where it is they’re not showing up at all. So is it a bug?
What and where are you hunting ?
@@PKMNcast I am hunting a Cherubi and it keeps bouncing between dappled grove and rolling fields
100% right, I should have said this in the video, because I always do TMs, then talk to the guy, then throw my Switch in anger cause I forgot
You can trade Pokemon from Pokemon GO? I wonder if they also have a feature to get Pokemon from the physical card game.
