    @Custom Excel Spreadsheets Hello customs. I wish you had a video for what you showed us at the end of this one. Which explain how to make it look nice and organizing it. Which is the hard part. Adding color, the right spacing and ext. This video was great by the way. Gave you that thumbs up. Thanks!

This was somewhat of a trial video, but I plan to begin releasing more videos that are higher-quality hopefully in the next month or two, so I'll keep this in mind as one we could take further.       @@230.umeshhugar7 Technically, Excel won't allow columns 'within' other columns. However, you can get this same effect another way. Let's say at the top of your sheet you want 1 column, then under that column you want 4 columns. What you would do is "Merge Cells" on the row(s) at the top where you want the 1 column. So you are taking 4 columns and merging them into one at the top, while leaving them as 4 individual columns underneath. Does that make sense?

    I have to generate freight quotes for work, and I'm wondering if there's an easy way to customize the subject-to notes that appear after each rate. Only certain notes are applicable after each quote, and I think it would be easier to be able to pick and choose which ones apply, so that I can add them individually and tweak them as needed.

      Hey, Adam! Thanks for watching our video. If you want to be able to add standard language/verbiage at the bottom of a quote and/or in a column beside each line item on the quote, this would probably need to be done using vba code- especially if you wanted to be able to tweak the notes. So for example, the sheet could be set up so that you have a list of standard notes and you check only the ones you want for that quote, click a button and it would automatically insert those on the quote form so that you could manually tweak them afterwards.
      Or, if having certain line items in a quote always mean that there are corresponding notes that need to be included as well, this could be done by vba programming as well.

    Colton. I’m self taught in excel. Well, UA-cam taught. lol
    I have a workbook with many worksheets. I want to take worksheet1 fill in the blanks and link that data into worksheet2 or 3 or 4. Worksheet1 is my customers information, quantities and costs. I want work sheet2, 3 or 4 to be my professional quote using the data from sheet1.

    I need someone to create an excel form that we can use to do our quoting for apparel items to send customers. We have certain values that don't change when we quote, cost of goods, shipping, printing, art charge, margin 20%-40%-50%, tax, and maybe some other line items. I want to be able to just plugs the numbers in and get the total. Is this something you think your company can create for us?

      Zaeem, great question! In Excel, just go to the "View" tab/ribbon at the top of the screen. Then uncheck the box for "gridlines". You can also play around by unchecking "headings". Let me know if you need anything else!

    Is there a way to prevent everything from shifting up when deleting rows for custom quotes? I work for a company with hundreds of products and I created a quote form using the format as table function. This way you can select all the products you want and the table automatically expands with all the pricing and description, etc. But I can't figure out how to prevent all the data underneath the table from shifting up from other pages. The quotes are multi page.

      Hey Andy, thanks for the question. Is it possible with your setup to select the row of data you want to delete and then just press delete on your keyboard to clear the information from those cells rather than deleting the actual row they are on? If not, for example if you are deleting a line item and don't want a blank space to be left on the quote before the next line item, there are a couple of options potentially. One would be if you can set it up so that you have a formatted table on every page of the quote and can clear out the data for the line you no longer need, then sort the table so that blank rows get pushed to the bottom. A second option would be to have a 'consolidate' or 'update quote' button on the sheet that initiates a custom script. There are a couple of ways to set this up, but basically you would just click a button and it would fix everything automatically. If you do not know vba programming or don't have time to implement it, feel free to email me at colton@customexcelspreadsheets.com and we can take a look at the project and see what it would cost to implement a solution.

    What is customer ID?

      Customer ID would be any unique identifiers you use for your customers. If you don’t use a customer ID, it could be their name or email address as long as you don’t have 2 customers with the same info.
