On this site, a older Centurion D10 sliding gate motor was removed and replaced with a Centurion D6 Smart sliding gate motor.
The client had bought the gate motor "supplied it for installation".
The old Centurion D10 sliding gate motor was completely removed apart from its steel base plate.
the steel base plate assisted in creating a firm base from which the new Centurion D6 Smart gate motor could be installed.
The new Centurion D6 smart sliding gate motor steel base plate was welded into position. extra steel braces were welded to assist in creating a firm steel base, and it also assisted in preventing a quick theft of the new gate motor, by ripping it out the ground.
The new Centurion D6 Smart gate motor was then fitted, to check for being level and upright.
a gate is the entry point of your property and as such, should look professional with a upright and level fitted sliding gate motor.
with all checks and balances in place, the gate motor was bolted down into position.
a extra steel bracket was bolted down onto the steel base plate, to prevent a quick theft of the gate motor, thus one would need to loosen 6 x steel nuts before one could remove the gate motor from its base plate.
The steel gate rail was then welded into position, by using 30x30x3mm and 40x40x3mm angle iron sections.
a 5x50mm flat bar piece was also needed as the 40x40x3mm angle bracket did not reach the gate rail and steel sliding gate.
the starts up sections were reinforced with extra steel angle brackets.
the force applied by the gate motor could be very great, and lift the steel gate rail upwards if not welded down properly.
power was then connected to the gate motor power supply.
the two 12 volt 7 amps batteries were also fitted.
the gate motor limits were then set up by using the my centsys pro app which is down loaded from the app store.
with the limits set, the gate motor was tested and found to be running perfectly without any vibrations or faults.
the remote transmitters were programmed via the my centsys app.
the client also registered himself and his wife as administrators on the gate motor system.
the steel gate rail was also painted with a primer paint, Duram ns4.
