Rather than a retirement home, this is a spacious family residence. The rooms are large, and there's a place for everything. The kitchen could be reduced in size to add a separate pantry. Because the house is a simple rectangle without jogs, it should be less expensive to build, so I would expect this to be a popular plan. Well done!

I love this layout. It would be easy to remove part of that back deck and attach a garage near the laundry area. The kitchen is far too big so it would be easy to scale it back and add in a walk-in pantry.
Nice! Open, but not too open. The laundry room has a place for broom, mop, vacuum, cleaning supplies. And can be used as a mud room. Most designs never think of this. At a quick glance the kitchen is great. Nice simple roof design that cuts down on initial cost and replacement when its time. I like.
I don't understand the sliding glass door also in the master closet??? Plus instead if wasting that whole wall in there with a full window... a simple transom window would free up 80% of that wall.. Why are 90% of house plans now have the kitchen in the front of the house and the living room at the back???
