How to dry whole oranges:
Leave in warm oven (no more than 80 degrees) For up to 2 days (Don't leave home with the oven on!)
As mine were small they took only 1 day. The cinnamon is OPTIONAL! It makes them look a bit... burnt! Although you may want to stick star anise on them and string them up to go onto your tree.

As an old witch who has been struggling a bit this season - thank you. Seeing the "Old Crone Fairy" and how She showed the strength and endurance of the forest, made me feel so much better.

I am also an old witch, yes the struggle is very real for me also. The crone goddess was wonderful. We may have struggles now but the sun is coming back and as it returns our struggles will ease up. Blessings

I love this so much!! I have a lot of items (napkins, tablecloth, sweaters, wool skirts, scarf) made of that tartan pattern. That's actually my family tartan. 🥰

Since we're reaching the end of the year, I want to say that your song, Alwyn's Theme, was in my Spotify Wrapped Playlist this year. I listened to it mostly during the last days of August and the first days of September, so I associate it with the melancholy I feel because Summer is leaving but also the excitement and the warmth I feel in my heart when the nights are getting longer and I can feel the chill in the air meaning Autumn is about to arrive.
Your music helps me to relax and daydream, so thank you for uploading on Spotify and UA-cam.
Also, this year I picked up drawing again thanks to you. My skills are a little rusty but I enjoy it a lot.

Omg I didn't realize she had an album with the music. I immediately went to listen to it and add it to my witchy playlist.
I love the little bottles of natural items and intentions. But the Winter Fairy made me feel “ok to be”, as my years in this realm put me in this category. The society in which I live does not seem to value, let alone honor, those of us in this age bracket.
Also, I feel inspired to attempt those pomanders with my daughter. ☺️ Thank you for all these ideas. I love your gentle & slower-paced (than many presentations out there, & so many things in modern life) videos.
Beautiful crafts! I used to make those pomanders but rolled them in orris root powder to prevent rot. It just makes them last longer. I loved the glass baubles with natural things inside. Thank you for another inspiring and uplifting video!

I find it very hard to choose. Having grown up on the edge of a wood, we three children would follow my father around, picking up bits and bobs, to decorate the house with at holiday time. So your channel fits right into my world. As I look at my desk, I find the odd ivy leaf, pine cones, sea shells, bits of bark, dried flowers, sand, you name it, it's part of a lovely tableau, which I enjoy every day, which has become my alter, thanks to your inspiration. I also love the skeletal winter woods. So crisp and lovely, with a blanket of leaves and snow, and the trees showing their textures and lichens. Also, no bugs! As a horticulturist, I like that you prune the trees at a node, instead of just lopping off the branch anywhere. I think I loved the little bottles the best...so cute with the red wax.
How special fòr a person here in Canada to hear you talking about the Robin on your winter walķ. The Robin's here have fled our cold winter weather. ( it is a slightly different species of robin). And all your wonderful natural yule crafts especially the old fairie. Your channel and your beautiful English accent are the greatest. Blessed Yule to you.

My favorite was certainly the oranges! As Yule approaches in the coming days I contemplate my ritual evening. This video inspired me to use the natural resources around me, including oranges.

What a beautiful video. The forest really is magical. We put up our tree early December but wait to bring in Holly,ivy etc to decorate the beams and the altar until the Solstice. At Yule we always write on bay leaves what habits etc we want to relinquish and burn them in the fire. Blessings from a snowy stone cottage in Wales x

It’s beautiful here snow on tops of our trees 🌲 🌲 o love the calm over the city 🏙 of stellar Minneapolis just before the sun sets. It’s been 35f and lovely 😊 Iv been enjoying it. Looking forward to more snow TYRs evening.
Thank you for starting my day off (it's 7am where I live) with beauty, love and your child-like joy and enthusiasm (something I'm trying to rekindle in my life), you inspire me with every video. I love all the seasons, but Yule seems the most magical (maybe because everyone else in my family participates in the festivities and they don't with the others). Though our winter solstice was in June, I love watching all the winter things from the northern hemisphere any time of the year. I live all your videos but this was touching my heart even more. I have already made a Yule wreathe last week with greenery and pine cones from my neighborhood but it was still missing something and now I will include a Yule Fairy which will be the best.

How beautiful you are, I really like your video stories. I also like your winter, it's really magical and inspiring, as if nature just froze for a moment and will wake up soon. We have such a forest only in October. In Russia, the winter forest can be deadly for both people and animals when the temperature drops to 20-30 degrees Celsius, so you don't even want to leave the house...

To me winter is a humbling experience. You walk out into the frosty morning and you are very aware of your limitations. You think you can do anything? Try to live inside the frost and snow and the short days. The cold bites your feet and caresses you without permission. The demons of winter's night surround you and about the only thing you can do is to try to find shelter inside your home, trying to keep them away with the warm glow of candlelight. It teaches you about death, even if you dont want to listen. That it will come to everyone. And that the only thing you can do is to be gentle and to acknowledge its presence instead of running away, trying to hide. You can try to live forever, but that won't last. Winter can teach you that. And to be grateful. And humble. And to celebrate life.

Such fun! I followed along and made one clove orange and 6 tiny blessing bottles. It was a bit difficult to get the herbs in and the wax on, but I managed. Lol I had the same problem with my pomanders. Put them in the oven to ‘dry’ and cooked them instead. Love the dining table arrangement.
