To be honest I didn't think much highly of Rengoku when they introduced him in anime because of his little weird personality but after watching the movie, my feelings turned 180 degrees. I respect him so much now. He will always be one of the coolest anime characters for me.
I always thought he would be a comical character and he was pretty funny. But then they just turned it and he became one of my fav anime characters EVER. His development was insane in one 2 hour movie.

Incredible how Rengoku could touch people's hearts within seconds. Right, when he got hurt by Akaza I started crying. Never knew I would have so much care for a character I have only met for in 1 movie
The picture of Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu crying next to Rengoku was heart breaking. All still in their personality: -Zenitsu being annoying with his screaming -Inosuke being unnecessarily angry -Tanjiro being kind as always Showing us what Rengoku has protected. Our three idiots.

About a week ago we went to go watch the movie and when me and my dad were driving home he admitted that he almost cried when Rengoku died. That goes to show just how amazing demon slayer is and what kind of impact his death had on us all. R.I.P Rengoku Kyojuro.

It’s outstanding that Kyojuro Rengoku has very little screen time but touched all our hearts and make us always remember him for what he did. Just because of his moment, he made me cry and I wish he would come back
I really wasn’t expecting that movie to be as great as it was. Everyone kept getting so hyped about it while I just thought, “They’re on a train the whole time. It can’t be that good.” Came out of that theater fighting tears. I stand incredibly corrected. Phenomenal movie. I’m going to watch it again with my siblings who just finished the anime.
3:50 This part broke my heart the most remembering how Rengoku offered Tanjiro to be his Tsuguko and raise him into a powerful swordsman. Although it looked at first Rengoku offered that purely on a whim, it showed that only ever interacting once, Rengoku saw great promise and potential in Tanjiro. Kyojuro is probably the most beautiful character I’ve seen so far, having a heart so gentle and kind, while also having the most unique and interesting personality. He definitely set a flame in our hearts with his everlasting blaze 🔥
Pause at 3:50, this part breaks my heart because we would have been able to see Rengoku train Tanjiro and his friends as he promised but sadly he didn't live long to be able to train them..... I can’t hear this song without crying and the fact that I like the song means I listen to it often. He was one of my favorite Hashira when he got introduced, and since I hadn’t read the manga, I had no idea what would happen. Rengoku-San is now my motivation in life. Thinking about him makes me want to try harder and become better. I will never forget him.

This cover made me cry, My uncle who got me into this anime Died in July at the age of 31, he was physically disabled and was completely bed ridden, we always watched anime together and your covers have helped me grieve. I remember in the "The First Take" LiSA was getting very emotional because of the meaning of the song, but even with the translation I didn't fully understand what it meant. This cover is what made me understand it fully. Not just the English lyrics, but the emotion in the singing, you could feel the pain, the grief, the sorrow, in her voice. The visuals, the background music, heck, even the key change to it all just added up together and made this masterpiece come true. Thank you for covering this song, this definitely hits home now that I understand what this song means.
I swear i was tearing up every portrait with Senguro and Kyojuro. Like, yeah I GET IT Kyo was an emotional spring board for Tanjiro but man is there anyone better suit for this song than him? He didn’t really know his mother, his father was like this for as long as he could remember, Kyojuro was his entire world. I can’t imagine all the loss and grief this little boy faced.
Having seen the English version of the movie in theaters this past Tuesday I heard the Japanese version of the song as the credits were playing. While both versions of this song are ridiculously phenomenal being able to understand what this song is about in English is something really special. Kyojuro would be very happy with this awesome cover. Well done!

I just realised, the beginning of the song is like a back and forth conversation between Tanjiro and Rengoku before he, well, you know... "Goodbye for now, I thank you loud, from the bottom of my heart" -Tanjiro "There is so much more than sadness, there's more than this grief" -Rengoku "When I left, I hope at best, I managed to convey, the pain will turn to warmth as we go separate ways" -Rengoku But after the first chorus, it seems as though Tanjiro is talking to himself, because Rengoku is no longer there.
Thank you for your version of this song, I lost my dad back in July 2020 to cancer, and this song really hits home, every time I listen to this song it reminds me of him and I can’t help crying, it’s such a beautiful and wonderful song.

Yes! Akaza is a pure scumbag in every way and I hope that he gets his ass kicked so damn hard ASAP! As Rengoku was nearing death I clearly remember yelling " Kill him!" at the movie screen just as Tanjiro threw his sword at Akaza is pure rage.
@@karolasswara I'm aware of what happened in the manga with Akaza but I'm sorry to say that he gets no sympathy from me. Like I’ve said every demon over the course of the series has some sort of backstory some more difficult than others. I had some sympathy for Lower Moon 5 Rui when they showed what Muzan did to him. However, with that being said, it absolutely doesn't excuse what Rui did and I feel the same way about Akaza. Plus, I dislike Rui for hurting and trying to kill Nezuko. In much the same way, I despise Akaza for calling Tanjiro “weak and pathetic”. The fact that he also killed Rengoku in such a unprovoked brutal and savage manner is in my opinion, unforgivable. All I can say is thank goodness Nezuko wasn’t involved in that portion of the fight because if he had laid so much as a finger on her I would have flipped out. She's one of my favorite character in this series!

This just shows that the show itself is a real masterpiece, yes it does give us great fights and moments, but what's really important is the life lessons that it gave, Rip Kyojuro Rengoku.

*SPOILER* Same thing with Akaza, everybody hating on him for killing MVP, and when his backstory starts and fireworks hit its gonna be a waterflow of tears. And also, just wait for battle vs UM1 and Shinazugawa brothers scene. Every single fan hates Wind Pillar for his scenes for Nezuko atm... but when we learn his history with demons and what he had to do in his life where he is now, plus the scene with Genya.. damn, Its gonna be so powerfull. Cannot wait.
I mean I wasn’t deeply mad at them for it, I knew that they didn’t know if Nezuko was able to keep her humanity or not. Plus like Lesbeon said, their lives was ruined by demons most likely. The only one I was especially mad at and holds a small grudge until they redeem themselves is Saemi, but that’s only because he STABBED Nezuko even before their leader came in to decide what they should do about her! He acted before he was given orders and that just makes me mad, also I like Nezuko just like everyone else and felt the “must protect” vibes when that happened to her.

To Even Stand up to a Upper Moon 3 is a big feat for a single Hashira And he did nearly defeat akaza while protecting 200 passengers + Tanjirou's group Respect For GOAT Rengoku
@@lonewolf9578 It's kind of hard to tell. Akaza was able to get away in the last few seconds meaning even if the sun hadn't come out he probably would've gotten away. The second Akaza felt he was in danger he started putting his efforts into escaping and that would be the same whether the danger was from the sun or Rengoku's sword. If he felt he was losing and Rengoku would cut his head, he most likely would've ripped his arms off and ran the same way he did in the movie. Rengoku took a while to cut even half of Akaza's neck considering his wounds and Akaza's sheer power as an upper moon so he probably wouldn't have cut it and Akaza would've felt threatened considering Rengoku most likely would have enough life left to cut his head as long as Akaza stayed for that duration. I mean, he survived for a decent amount of time in the movie even after Akaza left. The only important thing that would change would be that Akaza would have no excuse. He used the sun as an excuse to run in the movie but if the sun hadn't come out he would've still ran away from Rengoku thus not being able to make the excuse of running away from the sunlight. It most likely would've had a bigger effect on him since he hates weaklings and he ran away like one but he still would've survived regardless.
This is such a beautiful musical way to convey Tanjiro's thoughts and feelings about Kyojuro and the grief he went through losing him. Love both the English and original versions but my gosh do they make me bawl every time. Beautiful music and video
Even though i read the manga, kyojuro's depart keep on getting more heart wrenching every time i see it. The song itself is like him telling everyone to let go in order to pursue the future he and they wished, But it's easier said than done. Thank you for giving us another version of this masterpiece. The scene, the lyrics and the melody of this song keeps on haunting me. Its just too painful and traumatizing and yet, i can not help myself from listening.
When it showed Rengoku's broken sword and the song said "Sayonara Arigatou koe no kagiri" I got teary eyed. If you are feeling disheartened, that you are somehow not enough. Set your heart ablaze! Dry your eyes and look ahead. You may feel like digging your heels in. But the flow of time waits for no one. It will not stand by patiently as you grieve. Do not feel bad I am going to die. As a Hashira it is only natural I protect you all. Any other Hashira would have done the same."

Rengoku had dignity and honor not to mention he embraced his dreams till the very end, not once denying his true nature by staying true to himself until the end. That is the truth and I highly respect him the man he is always with a burning passion 🔥
What can I say.. It's beautiful. He won. Just because he died, doesn't mean he's defeated. Instead, he lived a much pasionate and courageous life his parents could ever had asked for.

Technoblades recent passing made me come back to this song. I feel as though the lyrics really portray what the relationship was between techno and his fans. Especially “There’s resolve written in my goodbye” reminds me of how he tried to comfort us with his last words, even when he himself had already accepted reality. Despite basically being strangers he knew how many people truly looked up to him, and knowing that he tried to console us as best he could when it should have been the other way around. It may be weird but Rengoku reminds me of him in some ways, as somebody who was in our lives relatively short amount of time but left a lifelong impact. Knowing them improved our lives while also making us want to improve ourselves. Set your heart ablaze. Technoblade never dies.

To be honest I didn't think much highly of Rengoku when they introduced him in anime because of his little weird personality but after watching the movie, my feelings turned 180 degrees. I respect him so much now. He will always be one of the coolest anime characters for me.

I really wasn’t expecting that movie to be as great as it was. Everyone kept getting so hyped about it while I just thought, “They’re on a train the whole time. It can’t be that good.” Came out of that theater fighting tears. I stand incredibly corrected. Phenomenal movie. I’m going to watch it again with my siblings who just finished the anime.

Although it looked at first Rengoku offered that purely on a whim, it showed that only ever interacting once, Rengoku saw great promise and potential in Tanjiro. I can’t hear this song without crying and the fact that I like the song means I listen to it often. He was one of my favorite Hashira when he got introduced, and since I hadn’t read the manga, I had no idea what would happen. Rengoku-San is now my motivation in life. Thinking about him makes me want to try harder and become better.

I remember in the "The First Take" LiSA was getting very emotional because of the meaning of the song, but even with the translation I didn't fully understand what it meant. This cover is what made me understand it fully. Not just the English lyrics, but the emotion in the singing, you could feel the pain, the grief, the sorrow, in her voice. The visuals, the background music, heck, even the key change to it all just added up together and made this masterpiece come true. I swear i was tearing up every portrait with Senguro and Kyojuro. Like, yeah I GET IT Kyo was an emotional spring board for Tanjiro but man is there anyone better suit for this song than him? @@karolasswara I'm aware of what happened in the manga with Akaza but I'm sorry to say that he gets no sympathy from me. Like I’ve said every demon over the course of the series has some sort of backstory some more difficult than others. I had some sympathy for Lower Moon 5 Rui when they showed what Muzan did to him. However, with that being said, it absolutely doesn't excuse what Rui did and I feel the same way about Akaza. Plus, I dislike Rui for hurting and trying to kill Nezuko. In much the same way, I despise Akaza for calling Tanjiro “weak and pathetic”. The fact that he also killed Rengoku in such a unprovoked brutal and savage manner is in my opinion, unforgivable. All I can say is thank goodness Nezuko wasn’t involved in that portion of the fight because if he had laid so much as a finger on her I would have flipped out. She's one of my favorite character in this series!

I mean I wasn’t deeply mad at them for it, I knew that they didn’t know if Nezuko was able to keep her humanity or not. Plus like Lesbeon said, their lives was ruined by demons most likely. The only one I was especially mad at and holds a small grudge until they redeem themselves is Saemi, but that’s only because he STABBED Nezuko even before their leader came in to decide what they should do about her! He acted before he was given orders and that just makes me mad, also I like Nezuko just like everyone else and felt the “must protect” vibes when that happened to her.

@@lonewolf9578 It's kind of hard to tell. Akaza was able to get away in the last few seconds meaning even if the sun hadn't come out he probably would've gotten away. The second Akaza felt he was in danger he started putting his efforts into escaping and that would be the same whether the danger was from the sun or Rengoku's sword. If he felt he was losing and Rengoku would cut his head, he most likely would've ripped his arms off and ran the same way he did in the movie.
Rengoku took a while to cut even half of Akaza's neck considering his wounds and Akaza's sheer power as an upper moon so he probably wouldn't have cut it and Akaza would've felt threatened considering Rengoku most likely would have enough life left to cut his head as long as Akaza stayed for that duration. I mean, he survived for a decent amount of time in the movie even after Akaza left.
The only important thing that would change would be that Akaza would have no excuse. He used the sun as an excuse to run in the movie but if the sun hadn't come out he would've still ran away from Rengoku thus not being able to make the excuse of running away from the sunlight. It most likely would've had a bigger effect on him since he hates weaklings and he ran away like one but he still would've survived regardless.

Even though i read the manga, kyojuro's depart keep on getting more heart wrenching every time i see it. The song itself is like him telling everyone to let go in order to pursue the future he and they wished, But it's easier said than done. Thank you for giving us another version of this masterpiece. I'm pretty sure Kyojuro Rengoku is a character that nobody hates, whether hes your favorite or you respect him with all your heart.
I never cried so hard in a movie theater. Such an amazing character! I loved him the moment he hit the screen. I knew his death was coming but I didn’t know it would hit me that hard. 🥺❤️
Even after listening to this hundreds of times, this song still moves me to tears. It's a very somber but hopeful song.
Technoblades recent passing made me come back to this song. I feel as though the lyrics really portray what the relationship was between techno and his fans. Especially “There’s resolve written in my goodbye” reminds me of how he tried to comfort us with his last words, even when he himself had already accepted reality. Despite basically being strangers he knew how many people truly looked up to him, and knowing that he tried to console us as best he could when it should have been the other way around. It may be weird but Rengoku reminds me of him in some ways, as somebody who was in our lives relatively short amount of time but left a lifelong impact. Knowing them improved our lives while also making us want to improve ourselves.

Regoku's fight was phenomenal, that final move put such a dumb grin on my face, even mere moments away from death, he gave everything to protect others.
I haven't had the possibility to watch the movie yet, but I love this song so much. LiSA is one of my favourite singers out there, and your version is amazing too, loved it.
Now, if only I could finally watch this movie already, the wait is killing me...
