Your mom has a peculiar way of trash talking. She's calm, polite and provides a lot of interesting insights during the game.
It’s the mid match coaching for me😂
It's scary in its own way though, isnt it? Like a Dr. explaining the surgery as she performs it.
@@xezazase I know right? Like she's kicked Anna's butt so many times before its just a routine procedure now.
Doesn’t come across as trash talking at all. It’s the mother daughter relationship. just a mom teaching her daughter. Very cool.
Trash talking?r u dumb or deaf.
Mum talks on Anna's turn.
Anna talks on Anna's turn.
GM strategy right there 🙃
Indeed! 😀
Anna does allow it Though
im pretty sure anna does it on purpose, because she respects her mom and rather her own time wasting than her moms
So everyone talks on Anna's turn and everyone is silent on Pia's turn?
well it’s hard to talk during pias turn when it last for half a second!
its such a striking differance from Anna's loud and enthusiastic voice to Pia's calm and quiet voice
In time Anna will change to the same…
@@carlsidgwick5854 I think Anna just takes after her dad more in that way. It's pretty adorable imo.
youtube things.
Anna is an ENTP, her mom is probably INTP.
Pia está en otra galaxia, no hay color..
Your mom is a treasure, definitely make more videos with her
Your Mom is an incredible woman in many ways...you are very lucky
sus
@@karlwithak1835 fyi they switched sides between games
Pia Cramling is a legend!
Would love to see your Mom analyze some of what she considers to be her best games
THIS.
Your Mom is still one of the best female players in the world, and almost 60 - that is incredible and unbelievable! - she is the most impressive female chess player besides Judit!
She is like the female version of Anand!
She’s trying to beat Korchnoi’s record. He beat Fabiano Caruana with the black pieces at 80 years old.
Pia is indeed a legend. She has such a great chess understanding.
@@metatronyYT If only Pia's microphone had more volume(seems as if My hearing is diminishing).
I would Love to see a game of she vs Judith Polgar that would be súper hardcore
Pia has the excellent strategy of hypnotizing Anna with here voice for 18-20 seconds at a time!
I notice that Pia talks during Anna's time... as does Anna. That's how Anna uses 10x as much time as her mom.
Love when Pia says "very logical" it feels so satisfying somehow haha
This is very logical move :D
Anna: “I wish you good luck.”
Mom: “I don’t need luck…”
Savage
When ?😂
More video with Pia. Her sweet voice is perfect to learn how to progress in chess.
Pia is definitly one of my favorite human beings right now.
She is the definition of no fancy stuff, just solid buisness.
I absolutely love how Pia is explaining her strategy, moves and thoughts as she plays.
Pia is like those old characters in anime. When they are aged and have white hair, best believe they are monsters. She is so calm with it too because she knows how good she is.
18:30 Competent in her own right, like the way Anna still looks at her mom with respect and admiration, open to learn. Modest despite her own capability and fame, will serve her well on her journey.
Her mum is so wholesome; they both are actually. I really enjoy watching you play against your mother.
Pia is amazing at explaning moves while Annas Time is running down :D
Delightful. Love the running commentary like Mom is helping her daughter. Man are they intelligent. So tantalizing
Man these two are too adorable and obviously so informative. Anna's the cutest and Pia's the sweetest and it's just a privilege to watch them compare and contrast their thought process and personalities.
Pía is not just a grandmaster, but a legend. Loved this video.
I absolutely love your Mum. She has so much knowledge, and they way you can see just how much she loves the game.
“Mom you know i hate the French”
Its sounds like a little kid saying “I dont wanna goooooo” “NOOOOOOOO”
love when Pia talks chess. It gets me excited to learn. She is so good at explaining here reasoning and view.
Pia MUST do a ASMR Chess Channel. It's imperative
The Bob Ross of chess
Hell yeah
@@LizaFan exactly what I was thinking 😅
LoL, yes.
Absolutely!
Pia is so jentile ans patient and Anna is so respecfull and sensitive great job on the winning game!! This is such a sweet family 💗 love is felt
I just found your channel randomly and I must say, seeing you play with your parents and the passion you obviously share with them is so endearing. You got have a new fan!
I enjoy these PIA games hugely! Sher is so calm, so informative.
Lol very entertaining watching your mom explaining her plans as she gentilly destroys you😆 reminds me of when my dad taught me chess
I saw Pia first time in Groningen (NL) playing at the European youth chess championship somewhere in the 80ties.. a long time ago, she had more or less same age as Anna now. I will never forget the small, calm girl she was, compared to all the boys she was competing with. Great player!
Lekker hoor in die pracht stad
nice
Groningen is a city in the northern Netherlands.
@@richard9492 The Netherlands is a country in Northwestern Europe.
Lol
You have a really nice family. Love the videos with your parents. God bless them.
As a London player game 4 was really informative and fun to watch. Especially because I'm really trying to perfect the London opening (which is the first real opening I learned) before trying to memorize a bunch of other theoretical openings. Thank you Anna and Pia!!
It was great to hear your mom's advice on what you could improve on. Would love to see these matches continue, perhaps with a bit of analysis of some critical moves after a game has concluded.
Oh this was helpful 😊 I really like the mom she does talk things through. It's great that it's not just silence
The best part is that she has a strong and loving relationship with her mom.
Your mom is a treasure. Would love to see her play the hustlers in the park lol.
That would be quite the contrast - a brash loud-mouthed trash-talking guy and then Pia calmly soft-voiced tearing him to pieces while explaining her thinking...
...you made le laugh too much!
That would be fun!
I second this
I want to see some money change hands, into GM Pia's pockets
@@KitagumaIgen there are a couple of those vids on anna's channel
Your mum is so calm and inspirational at the same time 😀
your mum is so sweet :) love the content :) her voice is so soft but love when she is muttering to herself with her tactics :)
Love the relationship between mother and daughter, their contrasting personalities balance one another!
She’s so poised in her play.I definitely love her!❤
You’re so lucky to have the mom you do! Love these videos
Your mom is so kind and patient with you and always willing to try and help you out with alternative moves or theories she has. You're so Lucky Anna
I love you two! Anna and Pia, you are so humble and intelligent woman!
"i wish you a good luck" i like that line by anna
Your mom is so adorable. I love these videos :)
It was a delight to watch this! I'd love to see this with 10min games. 5min games always end up with someone (the one with the lowest rating usually) losing from time which a pity cause we never get to see end-games.
Love the videos with Pia! Thank you!
it was so cute how she asked her mother for advice about a move. Her mother is still the master and the student has not taken over yet...
The student will never take over. Pia is a ridiculously good chess player.
Eventually her mother will reach 80. They lose quick thinking as they get older then student will take over
Mom had some good advice about protection and patience and preparation before attacking.
This is such a sweet conversation 🥹🥹
Anna is such a sweet soul, and her mom is so warm and calm ❤️🥰
New to your channel and have been enjoying your insight videos into the game, but I found an emotional draw to watching you and your mom play. Hope to see some more in the future!
Great job, Anna, persevering and getting a win on the third game! Very inspiring reminder to always try your best even with the odds against you.
Big salute to your mom, keep make videos as series with your mom, I really enjoyed and felt a member of your family. Thank you so much.
I absolutely love how her mum thinks completely out loud from start to finish, such a joy to watch
Anna this is the 2nd video I've watched since subscribing and I must say you're full of surprise's because when you were telling Ty in the other video that you play with your mom I never would have thought she's a grandmaster and you'll be one also
You are blessed to have a wonderful mentor and player in your mom.
I used to play my dad all the time until college, when I went down a piece but then forced a draw through perpetual check - the first time he ever played me serious and _didn't_ win. He was never "in the mood" to play against me since, which was unfortunate - but we recently reconciled that, I think. A little before he turned 80 this past July, the topic came up, and I told him this: dad, you do realize, even if you continued to play me and lost, you still won, right? He was like, how so? I said, remember, you're the one who taught me that one of the objectives of a parent is for their offspring to do (on average) a little better than themselves. So if by practicing against you, I eventually learned to beat you, you still won in that respect. I'm _supposed_ to exceed your accomplishments, remember?
At least I got a chuckle out of him...
As for you, I wouldn't be too disappointed in not being able to defeat one of the best grandmasters of her time on the regular. When that power/achievement graph starts pushing the upper limit... It's kind of like someone getting 5 perfect test scores in a row - hard to match, let alone beat (now you need 6 minimum), hence upper limit. At that point, being competitive with such a person is itself a great achievement. And, after all, you _did_ take one game...! ;-)
Parents should be happy for their kids when they excel at something, even if it requires seeing yourself beaten. Else how would you expect them to excel at anything ever? It seems abit to me that your dad stunted your growth by ceasing to play with you, instead of praising your development
Against your mom, or anyone strong, you need to control the clock better. You had your chances but was always low on time. Very nice video! Love seeing your mom in videos!
Like the relationship you have with your mother what a good teacher to have
I enjoy listening to your mom play while providing commentary
Pia is so sweet, she always tries to help Anna a bit, even when they´re competing.
Your mom is so calm. Anna is not jumping anymore.
It's always great to you see you play your parent or when the play each other is cool too.. You should let them stream some blitz online now and then and maybe you can commentate. Thanks for sharing.
This great. I’m glad you showed us how you learned the game. You should take her to the parks with you sometime. It would be interesting to watch with her polite strength
Our teacher's teacher makes it seems so easy
A mother's nurturing a daughter in a GM way. 😉
Really calm and soothing
Anna, I love the way the two of you gel together. Delightful to watch.
I like to watch matches like this
how lucky to have parents to play at the highest level
more videos with PIAAAA
The family resemblance here is incredible.. their faces are exactly the same!!! such a nice mom/daughter relationship ❤
I've watched alot of your videos now!
I love them :)
Pia is awsome!
Your dad is awsome!
You are awesome!
Pia is a legend.
Your Mom know so much openings
I am an old guy now. I really enjoy your videos. The thing I like the most is that you tell us what you are thinking. It's very helpful to those of us that are bad at chess. I used to play a game every night when I was in the army. He won EVERY game. But he never let me know what I was doing wrong. You're a breath of fresh air. Thanx.
Splendid!!! Simply splendid. Chess, brains and beauty. What a fantastic duo!!. Thank you.
Haha Mom’s a Legend!! Grandmaster Legend!
"Mom, you know I hate the French" Best line ever.
You both are a joy to watch!
This is so touching. Thank you
You mom sees like 3 moves ahead of what I’m seeing. Incredible
Thanks for teaching me basic chess, what do I owe you.😃
You two are such sweethearts!
Your mom is incredible. Well played to both
I like how momma gm answers your tactics with active counter tactics.. very instructional
The fact your mom is so soft spoken makes her that much more terrifying!
This is such a wholesome video!
Hey Anna! Love your smile/laugh SOOO contagious XD
it's amazing that 30 years ago, I only imagine able to dig into non-competition side of chess player I admired, and now I can watched all of them every day. the golden age of chess actually just begin (?)
Am a really huge fan of yours Anna, am watching from Africa, Zambia, I aspire to be just as good as you ✌️
This is the most wholesome chess video I've ever seen!🥰
This was so enjoyable to watch, thank you.
I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is to become a Grandmaster. Love the video !!! Thank you so much.
I feel like for the average person it's almost physically impossible, GMs are just wired differently! But I'm no expert so what do i know
dont let your quin die and you be fine.
Your mom have a secret trick, she let your talk your time away ;D
i can't get over how cool Pia looks in her glasses, great games you two!
You two are so cute!!! Love your relationship with your Mom, you seem to really respect her! ❤
the sweetest mother dougter time =D
If Anna came as a dough I would be baking more often.
Anna you must become a grandmaster.
Juan is wicked
Pia is a quiet genius
What a pedigree
The streaming career is more profitable, less stressful and definitely more enjoyable than going for the GM life
Expectations can be such a stressor on someone’s life. She is doing a great job of growing the game. That’s more important, if you ask me.
@@nosmokeweed1888 She also just has zero chance of making it. She is a good player and should be proud of being a WFM but a 20 year old 2000 ELO player has zero chance of becoming a GM.
@@thebiglebrowski3695 still doable. It would take some sacrifices and may not be worth it for her. I have a friend that's higher than her, older than her, and he is still steadily climbing.
@@tonyl7000 Nah, it isn't. She is absolutely miles away from being a GM. An adult cannot make up that gap no matter how hard they try, they simply lack the learning capacity. If you aren't 2300 by 16 then good luck ever getting to GM.
i would love to lern chess from ur mom all day, she seems so calm and relaxed
Pia is a beast. Calm and methodical
Now, we need to present Anna's mom in front of Hikaru
She's not at her peak shape now, while Hikaru might be. Could be interesting though
I can't believe how Pia is so good at chess and smart, It's like aging didn't affect her skills at all.
"When you don't know what to do, you go h4." Haha great games! Always great to see and hear GM Pia!
Congratulations, Pia! Well played, Anna!
