I haven't watched your channel in over 2 yrs and it got into my feed. I can't believe your channel hasn't even grown. I figured you'd be around 80k by now. Maybe if you were still driving your green Pete... but oh well. Cya around the mountain when she comes!!
Not sure what numbers you’re looking at but in the probably two years I have been watching it, this channel has grown by (as best I recall) around 40%+ in subscribers counts and has the highest ratio of views to subscribers of the various trucking channels i watch. Other creators will tell you that subscriber counts don’t matter that much as other factors.
Wow! I know about days like you had. It's like dominoes, it seems. And then getting to a dead end. So frustrating, but you know the problem won't fix itself, so you keep going. I had that a couple of times with dead ends, but it felt so good that I figured it out and got going again. It's that feeling of accomplishment that keeps you going. Thanks for showing the cave. I've been to the caves, but it was only for training in maneuvering in tight spaces. I hadn't had a load there.
Hey sunny how are you doing today on this beautiful day I like watching your UA-cam videos and they are very educated and I like the way you explain things to your viewers in the videos
New sub here. Steve at FSC Trucking mentioned you guys loaned him a transmission jack. It seemed to work well for them working on Elaine, their project Freightliner. I appreciate when people can help each other, and then do it. You’re good people. 👍
Awesome ! The caves-footage accompanied by my favourite "Trucking-together tunes". Amazing this whole operation under ground. SO BIG. Thanks for taking us with you on this experience.
Another guy I sometimes follow on here, Life Behind the Wheel, did a video of that underground cave. It is impressive. I am glad you were able to turn your day around. Thanks for another great post! The drivers name is Dakota.
Many years ago we hauled Hagen daz out of the caves going to the Bay Area. Going into the caves was no problem, but they were much smaller back then. Getting turned around was the problem. Many times we had to back out. Also with that damn Ice cream you had to take the south route because the high altitude passes on 80 would cause the Ice cream to bulge up and pop the lids. Umm just between you and me it didn’t. Cherry flip candy was the same way.
I've been to those caves, my son works at a turkey factory that used to use those caves as storage and shipping, they recently stopped but yeah, those caves are nice. I used to visit quite often. Thanks for sharing
Problems like that usually related to poor/loose connectors or poor grounds. check all cables going to trans back to dash. What you did is a "cold reset". The repair manuals for computers, trucks, cars, tv, printers will tell you how to do a "cold reset". Pulling the clock battery on the car/truck /printer/etc will usually do "default reset".(reload the basic setup for the car/truck computer.
Hi Alice one amazing video as always with the frustration of mechanical headaches to the highs of unloading in the caves and as always the smile that goes with it all so wishing you safe miles cheers from Tim in Queensland australia ( keep on trucking )
The caves are pretty cool. Only ever done it once ..loaded some Starbucks coffee drinks in a van at the Springfield Underground. Its definitely a neat experience...must be 15 years ago but recoginized it when you drove in there.
I just got weBoost on my truck it’s a lil expensive but NO MONTHLY… easy instal what it does is it finds a weak cell signal and bumps it up … iv had the same issues with no or just bad cell signals
Internet 24/7 Starlink mobile mount the small dish on top of truck never have internet issues ever again👌Also my iphone will occasionally will lose service but when i reboot comes back full scale phones need reboot sometimes
This reminds,it's probably been 12 yrs ago,one Saturday morning a day off of mine I was going to leave the house by a specific time, well I got delayed. It was a good thing because there was a serious accident & I figured that may have been me. He's got a plan for all of us.
Alice, you did good keeping your cool when trk wouldn't start. Ive been to the caves a couple times when I drove OTR. I heard its pretty much a steady temperature all year around
Well Alice. You're at Springfield underground. You're 35 minutes from me East. You went to Mount Vernon you're 20 5 minutes from me. You pass Hood truck stop. 10 mi West of you. Same road. Joplin's 52 miles from Joplin. Too bad I didn't know the dates you were out here. Don't spend too much money at the chrome shop😂. Be safe girl. PS you didn't show your feet. 🌹🫱🏽🫲🏽😎🪶🫶🏽
@TruckingTogether You got a point😆 I've seen you fix things on the highway before you're a amazing female truck driver. Most truck drivers would have to call a wrecker or a service repair you and your husband are amazing when it comes to those situations. And I remember you wrenching several times in other videos, even the rebuilding motors.
Safe travels n way to stay true about yourself. Beauty in the inner spirit love the way. Both of you put it on the line all the time. God~Bless keep heads up.Amen•£7•❤•
Yes, I picked up and delivered to the caves. Delivery is usually pretty quick. Chrome shop, more work for Martin when you get home putting more lipstick on the pig. The truck not Alice. 😉
I'm ol school but love my Crocs damnit. If I'm not unloading cars, I'm in my comfy Crocs until I hit some snow 😆. I'll unload in my gym shoes and winter time I rather have my rubber duckies on instead of boots.
Most people don’t understand what goes on in trucking. Most go to work and do there jobs. When problems arise there is management there for you to give those problems to them. It usually means you still take your break at 10 lunch at 12 then break at 3 then go home at 5, usually no matter what happens that’s your day. Not so in trucking. There are hundreds of things you make your day one from hell. Plus your all alone with the problems. No management to throw the problem on. It’s all on the driver. Remember loads have to pick up at a certain time and have to be delivered at a certain time. So if there is no time to do a wash out and it must happen well it means you sleep less or the load is late and they won’t take it till the next day at 6:00 pm. So a two day trip is now 3. The load you were supposed to pick when you unloaded you had to give back and now you don’t have a load to come home. You finally get a load but it’s only loading the day after you unload. So you keep getting pushed back and the trip is getting more expensive with every extra day added. All the while your not going home at five when everyone else is. So when there is no phone service and you can’t pump fuel the stress level keeps going up. So if people hear drivers bitching it’s because the stress level is mounting. When I drove I wore cowboy boots. They don’t do that any more. So where what is comfortable. Great video guys. Thanks for posting. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you, and what ever foot wear you are wearing.. D…
You bring up some good points except for the 'flip flops'. Phone service does vary from state to state at times. I've lost service at the worst possible times in areas I am unfamiliar with. But 'The GPS told me to do it?!' Swift drivers wore that one out years ago. Just subscribed! looking forward to more videos.
You can wear flip flops if you want Alice, it's comfortable. In Australia we wear them and we call them Thongs.......mmmm. But we wear boots in depots/yards etc, their rules for safety etc. But as soon as i'm back in the cab the boots are off and the thongs back on. "Japanese working boots". That transmission thing could be a switch at the trans that sends a message to the truck computer saying, hey i'm in gear i can't start, or maybe, i'm in reverse i can't start. That trick you done to get going again will only work a few times. It's a job for Martin when he gets a minute. A data tool may give more info? Stay safe.
When my cascadia does that automatic trans non start i turn the batteries off(kill switch)wait 15 minutes and turn them on and it works but ive also just move the transmission gear selector stock stick(aka gear shifter) up and down and it resets it without killing the batteries for 15 min might try that if it happens in the future
this truck doesn’t have a kill switch that’s why I disconnected the batteries not once but twice allowing 15-20 mins each time disconnected. That wasn’t the fix which was also mentioned along with me disconnecting :)
@@TruckingTogetherWhen you fix those kind of problems you are pretty much assured the problem is solved, with the automated system software issues, it is fixed until “the next time”. Let’s hope the next time is far down the road. Love the channel, stay safe.
Love the clown shoes Alice!!!🤣🤣 You sure were having one of those days.......🙄🙄 I swear when I get my hands on that Murphy guy, I'm gonna feed him feet first through a wood chipper running on slow idle!!! (a-la the movie Fargo)!!! I've had to do the transmission reset thing several times with those PACCAR automated manuals.....I've never yet found out WHY those transmissions do that......first time it happened to me I was at a rest stop in Utah and I'm afraid I turned the air blue with some creative Canadian cursing!!😁😁
Thats a day in trucking that youd rather forget about Alice. At a guess id say you are parked at Thorntons Lincoln Illinois on I 55 One of my favourite parking spots is Becks right across the street
trucker ron you only drive a manual because you like putting that stick where the sun don’t shine ever time you climb back into the sleeper, and knowing you, you probably take multiple sleeper breaks a day.
That is a major downfall to not only newer trucks, but automatic trucks. Had that been an older, manual transmission truck you could have at least gotten pulled to start it. And yes, those caves are so cool. Definitely not for someone who is closterphobic.
There's a difference between steering wheelers and load security truckers. Docking and waiting vrs construction and real loading/ unloading. Unless of course you're a foreigner, that can't read directions on steal towed shoes required

I went to that cave one time when I drove semi truck and I would never go back to it. That place sucked back when I went there in the 80's
