  • When one turns to the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, a radical, revolutionary view of women shines forth through the grace-filled words and loving actions of Jesus toward the females in his life. Jesus broke through both Jewish and Gentile forms of oppression against women and offered a fresh view of the female gender which has provided the undergirding for true women’s freedom and rights up through the present day.
Gifted Christian apologist Rebecca McLaughlin and author of the new book, Jesus Through the Eyes of Women: How the First Female Disciples Help Us Know and Love the Lord helps us see how the Gospels present a view of women which sets them free to reach their fullest potential and find true freedom and hope.

WOW! What a great presentation of truths regarding women in the bible. This author demonstrates deep insight and truths which I will be sharing with my five daughters and many female friends, especially appreciated the affirmation on divine purposes of singleness and the many examples of Jesus' revelations to women! Will look into this book!

Especially moving hearing how much it meant to Rebecca that Jesus healed the woman who had been bleeding for 12 yrs, that He called her daughter. It's astonishing to me Jesus did this in a culture where people were repulsed by "unclean" blood and now some 2000 yrs later, I can take menstrual blood for granted and even celebrate that it was created by God to nourish the baby growing inside me.

"Jesus through Middle Eastern Eyes" is a book that provides an in-depth examination of the life and teachings of Jesus from a Middle Eastern cultural and historical perspective. The author, Kenneth Bailey, explores the cultural and social context in which Jesus lived and taught, providing a fresh and illuminating view of the stories and teachings of Jesus.
The book focuses on the significance of the parables and miracles of Jesus and how they were understood by the people of his time. It also examines the cultural, religious and political context of first-century Palestine and how it influenced the way Jesus' teachings were received.
The author argues that understanding the cultural background of Jesus and the Middle Eastern context of his teachings is crucial for understanding the true message of Jesus and the gospel. He emphasizes the importance of understanding the cultural context in order to avoid imposing Western cultural biases on the text and to gain a deeper appreciation of the meaning and impact of Jesus' teachings.
In conclusion, "Jesus through Middle Eastern Eyes" provides a rich and insightful look at the life and teachings of Jesus from a fresh perspective, offering readers a new and deeper understanding of the gospel.

The bible doesn't say he did. He was not married. We the church are his bride.
      Why do you ask?

@@komatarikinala66 Jesus is currently betrothed to His bride, the church. The wedding feast takes place in heaven when all the saints are resurrected. It's the only wedding that Jesus will have and the only one that will occur in heaven and the new earth.
