The challenge is to play as the Philippines and annex USA. This one is a little different, because I did not plan it out beforehand, but rather improvised the strategy. First we'll need to earn our independence, find some allies, expand, and then turn against out former overlords.

I always watch game runthroughs (and most things) on 2x speed. You can get used to it and then it's just more time efficient.

As France, stay democratic and defeat germany and Italy anyway you want.
BUT you decide that there is no need to modernize your army, so you produce only equipment and vehicles from the Great War. Those weapons won the last war, why change what works?
Gear received from lend lease is accepted.

French can use the Rhein event to defeat Germany in first year (open up the front line lure them in and use a strong force cut out their supply line finish them up and do it again, after that just use your motorized infantry or calvary rush to their VP), then with a strong industry mass amount of 7/2 regular GI plus a superior navy is more than enough to defeat Italy.
You do get a communist uprising though, right? That would split your armies.
Yes but is a relatively small civil war and you can win it easily. Just hold you maginot line before you win civil war.

Luzon and Visayas vs. Mindanao.
Nah visayas would be divided, if anything the visayan islands would be the battle grounds.
Then again it's more on language vs religion. They're catholic but hates manila meanwhile mindanao is muslim while speaking some visayan language such as cebuano

That could actually be very interesting with the 1939 start date, considering you can't just release it as an independent nation there, seeing how it's already a puppet. I'm not sure if you could break free via civil war. The higher world tension could allow your fascist counterpart to call in Germany and steamroll you.

This will sound ridiculously weird but i did it in my campaign and finished it in 1949, as communist canada take over the USSR and USA. And if you wanna play with a really weird rule, you are only allowed to puppet other nations except for the two named. (the way i did it is join comintern and puppet all nations in WW2. then leave to create my own faction once the germans are defeated.) if you do this, feel free to choose historical focuses on or off.

Challenge: Form Arabia as Yemen.
Units added to the army will not automatically take its order to attack, but if you hold ctrl and then left click on the attack order itself any selected divisions will join it, along with assigning itself to the army and the front line. Works even for divisions that are outside the army, so it's an easy way to reorganize forces directly on the map
There is also another way - first assign them to a different army, then transfer from army to army - they will assume order automatically
Alright, so I misunderstood some stuff about what you meant in 11:05, as well as some game mechanic, which I see now after a bit of playtesting, so I'll rephrase:
In 11:05 you suggested that new divisions that get assigned to the army don't accept its orders in the way they should, so you deleted all orders and redrawn them again. But if you hold ctrl while adding new divisions to the army (which I assume you didn't), they actually get assigned to the attack order as well (at least them seemed to do so in my tests a moment before). So doing so you could skip the trouble of redrawing the same order.
And it also works in similiar way by clicking the order of front line or the "arrow" as well, only with left click instead of right that you use while assigning by the leader portrait (but still holding ctrl).
I'm saying this because that's a very convinient way to reorganize forces, and you may not be aware of it, unless I still misunderstand what you actually meant
