Countries and regions outside of mainland China rely too much on Google, this is a major factor that HarmonyOS Next can not be widely promoted outside of China, another reason is that HarmonyOS Next in mainland China is still in the public beta stage, it has not yet developed into a mature operating system, even though it is currently on the shelf with the "Zotron app" and "Outbound app" to run Android apps, but as you know, the experience of running Android software on a virtual machine may not be very good!

Can't use Huawei without play store, this workaround for google service's is nice but having limited apps support just isn't worth the price. Windows phone and blackberry failed because of this (I owned phones from those brands too) I'd rather get an honor, vivo or oppo phone . They are equally as impressive
Really wanted Huawei phones and tablets but sad to say it's not worth getting the global version because you get emui and not Harmonyos. Emui is a crippled Harmonyos and updates are pathetic. To enjoy all the Huawei Harmonyos with amazing updates go for China version.
Why huawei mate series are not sold outside of China. By now we should have taste harmony os but huawei still take us back to old chunky emui version which I hate. Huawei can release harmony os for the global market with Android support like their tablet and ends the emui version so when there's enough apps on Harmony os Next for global then they gave us.

Would also be curious what the current ranking is re. glossiness of inner screen. Z Fold & Pixel Fold, the only ones I've seen in person, are both way too shiny for me.
