Left out of catawba state park and headed straight for round reef. We got into some hot action with the little guys just off the edge in 22 fow. The lake was pretty much a muddy mess after the strong northeast blow a couple days ago. It seems as if the fish shut down after 9am we we're having trouble getting bite's just slowly picking at them the rest of the day. The best jig was a 3/8 oz purple hair jig tipped with a emerald shiner. The best trolling lure was the deep diving bandit, blue and silver or purple and silver, anything that was flashy seemed to pull fish. As far as visibility goes I could barely see the cavitation plate on the lower unit. Water temp 39.5

Sure appreciate it! Memories forever
Good to see my ole buddy tom wintered over ok. Always fun to watch both of ya.
Thank u sir! He's diggin around in the boat as we speak! Die hard!!
That shot @9:06 was perfect. Beautiful as far as the eye can see. I like how you used the snap on your cranking lure. Good idea.
I never paid attention to that shot your talking about. I too agree its definitely pretty. Eerily calmn. Those days are few and far between. Thanks for watching.( Might head out today and do some jiggin)
Been a while good to see you on my feed again
Its been tough out there this year. It seems like everytime the lake gets close to stabilizing and we get a chance to go the wind takes it all away. Or im working. Ughh
Thats what iv been hearing also least your out
Bet it felt good being back in the boat. Thanks for showing the little guys. Keeping it real is why I like your videos
Nice job T !!
Nice to see your still around. I would never recognize you at the ramp. I think im the last one still running the original rig from the tourney days years ago. Most everyone upgraded to different rigs. Thanks for watching the vid. Wish more of the old tourney guys we ran with would send in video’s of straight fishing. The video that “JOB Fishing “ posted about a week or so ago was the best I’ve ever seen, almost an hour long.
@@TripleSwalleye I looked at the LEWT results and most of the people I didn’t recognize. I’ve been meaning to do some videos but just haven’t pulled the trigger on doing it. Stay safe and great job on the vids.
Looks like you had that reef all to yourselves
Yes pretty much, most everybody was over by green island that day. We maybe had 4 boats around us. Smallest walleye I've ever caught. Great to see those little guys are in the system for the future.
Nice work!
I've been watching the lake erie walleye sizes this year and there's been a overall view for walleyes not getting very big due to a feeding shortage from the last two years .
Yet there's big ones out there but most are in the 27"in range or smaller ..... Not very many 30"in walleyes this year in the spawning season .....
big fish hunted all day today ,biggest 8lb's. I would love to see a 30" wally. Its been a couple years
@@TripleSwalleye I'll tell you my walleye spawning theory for the bigger walleyes but I say again it's a theory that the big walleyes don't like muddy waters and I think this because of how many people talk about walleyes spawn in the sandusky bay or do the walleyes not spawn at all in the bay ? But yet in seasons past the early season walleyes have been outside the bay making for a good bite before summer heat ... It's only a theory and I don't know of anyone catching walleyes in the sandusky bay area other than outside the bay around cedar point area .... I'm asking more questions than giving an answer for my theory so the biggest question is where are those big 30"in walleyes or are they dieing off before getting on a spawn ....
I love jigging feeling that fish Hit The Jig don't get me wrong I love trolling to at put fishing the boat you just something about jigging and having that Pole in your hand
Nice job! It's been a tough bite up there here recently. You guys got on them!
We went up about two weeks ago and we were having trouble on the troll. We got our fish jigging/vibing. Hope to see ya out there!
I really need to get in on some jigging action. I'm getting tired of pulling cranks. Although I did start pulling crawler harnesses today,( nothing for my efforts)
Just about stuck the net in the pile of Bandits. That would have made for good footage. Good talking with ya Saturday u guys was heading out an I just got back in.
That was crazy! All them hooks and not one of them got tangled. We pulled three and lost 2 sat. Nothing near as big as wat u had.
wondering who painted the red headed Hwy Bandit? I Would love to get a few!
Hyway bait n tackle marblhead sold em
What speed do you go?
1.2-1.9 mph year round
I think you should give your co host more camera time lol
