I'm a student studying chemical engineering with an interest in becoming a quant. Would it still be worth attending this event with no quant or finance experience?
Yes! You'll get exposed to presentations on how quantitative finance is actually used in the real world. One of my best conversations last year was with a math PhD on measure theory. He came to the event just to learn about quantitative finance and I think he was surprised we use a lot of the math he had studied.
