The 60 point Atlanta game is a much bigger story than just that one game and it's my favourite basketball story of all time. Back in college Bird first got a scholarship to the University of Indiana. Being from a poor family he suffered ridicule and bullying from some of his basketball teammates the main antagonist being a guy named Kent Benson. Larry ended up dropping out of that school and moved to Indiana State University and went on to lead them to a 33-0 record. Fast forward to March 3rd 1985 and Bird's Celtics are playing the Pistons with Kent Benson. Now Larry being a small forward couldn't go head to head with Benson but he could use his teammate Kevin McHale to inflict a little retribution on his behalf. McHale ended up setting the Celtics all time scoring record with 56 points and Kent Benson just couldn't go with him, he got so frustrated he ended up getting himself ejected from the game after 15 minutes of game time. Not that Larry didn't go after Benson and his Pistons himself he still ended up with 30p 15r & 10a. After the Celtics had the game in the bag with a few minutes still to play McHale took himself out of the game. After the game Larry told him he should have stayed out there because that 56 point record might not last. 9 days later Larry Bird got the Atlanta bench fined for celebrating by scoring 60 points and setting a new Celtics all time scoring record.
Bruh, the Hawks bench was cheering for Bird because he shot almost 65% from the floor, and 15 of 16 from the line. He ended up dropping 60 points on them. But they were mostly cheering because of the kind of shots he was making. Just ridiculous shots, one after the other. I saw that game back in 1985 and even I was cheering (well, I am from Boston). But I would have cheered for anyone the way he was dropping buckets. He was amazing that night!
Two stories: Craig Ehlo of the Cleveland Cavaliers held Bird to a horrid first half, and on the way to the locker room, "That's great defense." Bird just quietly said "There's two half. Bird torched him in the second half, and then asked him if him mom was there. When Craig Hodges won his first three point contest, he was asked if it was worth less because Bird didn't compete. Hodges said, "Bird knows where to find me." Bird replied, "Yeah, at the end of the Bulls bench."
I can watch these Bird video's over and over. Show me another player who time after time told his opponent what he was going to do before he did it and then went out and did what he said he was going to do. As far as teams being disrespectful by guarding Bird with a white guy - I have seen 4 different Bird videos where players from other teams told that same story. The game where the Hawks players fell off the bench and gave each other high 5's was on March 12, 1985, when Bird set the Celtics 1 game scoring record with 60 points. 3 players on the Hawks were fined for celebrating Bird. One of the Atlanta players, Cliff Levingston, didn't mind the fine as he said it was the best seat during a came that he ever had. The game was actually fairly close. The Hawks were not a good team that year as their record at the time was 25-40, while the Celtics were 51-14.
Larry Bird 60 pt. game broke the scoring record for the Celtics! It still stands today! The Hawks on the bench got fined $100. Cliff Livingston said it was the best $100 seat he ever had! LOL
Charles Barkly said "Larry being unathletic, was God's way of making it fair." So any talk about him not being athletic enough for today's play, that's just people who don't know how good Larry Bird was...because he could do anything...and if he couldn't score himself, he could pass the ball off in ways that were just stunning in the ingenuity of how he did it sometimes.
That story with Dr J, resulted in a fight right on the court. This was the era where there were very physical games. Bird also had a rep for getting into bar fights, off court. He felt when challenged, he never backed down. Said players would like at him differently. Tough player, all around.
A couple of the better Bird stories: One is told by John Stockton. He said right before a game in Utah Larry walked over to the Utah bench, stood there and said, "I feel like...43." Then walked away, the game started, and he scored 43 in the game, for the win. Another is told by Reggie Miller when Larry was up for two free throws. He said he tried trash talking Larry by saying "Hey, hey!" Larry stopped him and said, "You gotta be kidding. Rook, you gotta be kidding me." He shoots one free throw. "I'm the best f-ing shooter in the league, understand? In. The. League." Shoots another free throw. "And you're here trying to tell me something?" The thing is those stores are too far fetched, too "comic book", that if it wasn't the players telling you about it, you wouldn't believe it. The thing Barkley said about Larry not wanting to play against white guys, Larry said that multiple times. He grew up playing with black players, and he considered basketball a black man's game, and that they were the best players. And he only wanted to play against the best. So playing against other white guys, that was beneath him. Larry was ruthless. He just did not care. If you can't handle it, too bad, you're gonna lose. It's psychological warfare; if you can knock your opponent off his mental game, you've won part of the battle.
About that game against the Hawks, Larry scored 60. The other team knew they were witnessing greatness, and couldn't contain their amazement. The three players at the end of the bench got fined, and the the coach was so mad, he made the whole watch the clip of them celebrating over and over the next day at practice. Ha ha ha!
Bird's trash talking was on a different level. Players would fake injury or sickness just so they wouldn't go up against him. Dropping 40 on them while talking sh$t the whole game. LOL.
The Hawks were a great team! One of the Celtic's best competitors. This game, Larry was on fire straight out of the gate and scored 60 on them. Insane shots. The one that had the bench cheering, Larry had called that in front of the bench so everyone was waiting for the play. He even asked someone to guard him. He said "in the trainer's lap" the guy on the bench in white is the Hawk's trainer. Bird shoots, the guy guarding him (Carr says it was him, but Doc says Anton was on the bench...not sure who the guy guarding him was) knocks into Bird causing him to stumble and fall into the trainer...as the shot went in. The shot would have given him 57 points but it didn't count. His two free throws gave him 56 points. The bench went crazy because of Bird calling it, and the whole game was a shooting clinic for the Hawks. THe whole story from all the people who were there is on UA-cam. One of two things Bird did to the Hawks, the other was the "the duel" with Dominque Wilkins.

To answer your question, Larry said that a lot of times. To players but mostly to coaches. He said that African American players were the best in the game. Much better than white players. So if you put an unathletic white dude on him, it was disrespectful to his greatness. Because he was dropping 30 and 40 a night on the best players (black players), so If a coach put in a white player, he'd yell at him from the floor, " Hey coach, why you got this white boy on me, I'm killing him out here?" "Put the rookie or someone else in here, but get him off me cause' he can't touch me out here!"
Larry is 100% for sure in my top 5...perhaps top 3. He could do it all, & had an instinctual court awareness & overall basketball IQ that made him different. There's a lot of vid compilations of Bird, personally I enjoy revisiting the Magic/Bird rivalry. It's always dope to witness.

The Bird-Dr. J. fight is one of the great legends of the NBA. First one of the refs was injured early in the game (he broke his leg running into Dennis Johnson) so there was only 1 referee. Both teams had to agree to keep playing, and it was Dick Bavetta, who at that time wasn't very highly rated. Then Bird was having a great night, Dr. J. was having one his worst nights ever. Every time down the floor, Bird would remind them of their score: 30-6, 32-6, 34-6. He told he was getting too old and should retire. By the time it got to 42-6 it was on. Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, ML Carr. Bird and Dr. J. have an incredible amount of respect for each other but that was just one of those nights where everything came together for one of the most famous fights in league history. Look for videos of the fight. It's pretty amazing.
Bird was a thorn in Dr J's side at times. Dr should've won at least two or three titles for sure, that loss to Portland in 77, another in 80 to the Lakers when jabbar got hurt.
Bird was a thorn in a lot of player sides, including MJ. Bird was the only superstar who had a winning record against Jordan, and Bird was undefeated against him in the playoffs.
Larry Bird grew up playing street ball with older black guys at the hotel in his small town. As a kid, He thought they were the best players in the world. He carried that respect and the fact he had athletic black men guarding him and he still shot over them, as a white guy, he knew a white guy guarding him was easy. Greg Elho is white and had to guard Larry...he and one of his team mates tell that "white guys guarding him" story. It is also a good "don't poke the Bird" story.
Youre right, Larrys trash talk was one of his strategies to demoralize and get other players off their game - its an old trick but very effective on most players if done right, once you get someone angry or make them feel like they have no way to stop you it lowers the effectiveness of their game. Larry wasnt fast and couldnt jump very high but he found ways to more than make up for those deficiencies.
That was individual points Bird was talking about against Dr J. Bird told him he should retire amongst you can't guard me and stuff like that. They both got ejected for the first and only time in their career shortly after the clip ended.
@@eddiehaskell1957 Thanks Eddie, I forgot about that. Anytime Bill got a dose of justice I was a happy camper. I see Larry in my head, laying there punching him, good times. Appreciate the correction of info 👊.
The best trash talking video is why NBA players were terrified of Larry Bird. Stories from Shawn Kemp, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Kareem Gary Payton, etc. Awesome video. Should check it out. Great reaction. Thank you. SUBSCRIBED
15:10 the Dr. J/Bird 38 to 6 was: Bird kept saying two things to Dr. J - his points vs the Dr.'s. As the game went on, about 38 to 6 it got heated. Thank you for the video and much love to the channel.
I grew up near Boston in the 80's and got to see one game at the old Garden in 1986, for my 12th birthday. Then ML Carr, who's in this video, came to my high school to do an anti-drug presentation. I was picked out of the audience to get rebounds for him! I LOVED the Celtics.
Bird grew up poor in a small Indiana town called French Lick. He was one of 6 children. And his mom worked two jobs to support the family. His father and mother divorced while Bird was in high school and then a year later his father committed suicide. Poverty was a motivating factor in his basketball excellence. And also I imagine in his trash talk. He had a big brash ego to thwart off those who might disrespect him first. He left IU before a month and came back home, started going to Northwood University and worked municipal jobs for the rest of the year until the next fall when he transferred to Indiana State University. Their team's last success before Bird began to go there was in 1968 when they were the runner up in Division II basketball. Under Bird they had 3 successful years capped off going 33-1 in 78/79 season. It was their first Division 1 NCAA playoff ever in school history. And they would not go back into the NCAA tournament again until 2000. 21 years later.
@@itsshadbih From what I remember of the story, Larry learned how to play basketball from a group of black guys who worked at a hotel and would play during their break. Which if it's true makes perfect sense
Larry Bird managed to get Dr J to come after him. Dr J was having a bad night scoring and every time Larry scored he would give his score and Dr J's. Right before Dr J came after him. Larry gave the scores 38-6 and told Dr J that he needed to retire. That is when Dr J lost it and went after Larry. They were both ejected from the game for fighting. What made it surprising is Irving and Bird had a pretty good relationship off the court. They had done at least one shoe commercial together. When this incident happened I was shocked because that was so unlike Dr. J. At that time, nobody watching on TV knew Bird was a world class trash talker and instigated the attack. I hated Larry and the Boston Celtics when he played but I respected the hell out of his game. Larry wouldn't back down for anybody in the NBA, if they wanted to go, Larry was ready to throw hands.
Rodman is apparently very racist. Way back in the day, he said that Larry would only be considered an average player if he was black. He later said he regretted saying it and didn’t mean it…. But obviously he did mean. He’s not better than Larry, he’s got to know that. People only remember him because he dressed like a woman before it was trendy and dyed his hair crazy colors. And yeah, white chick here. Even Larry knew back then that black athletes tend to have much more natural athleticism than white athletes. He actually said he knew that fact and knew he had to train twice as hard to excel. He was right.
I remember him referencing that Larry would be average, I think Isiah Thomas said something like that too. Think it was the bad boy pistons documentary.
I agree w/ the whole "great players can adapt to any era" but I don't about Lebron, if he could adapt to the 80's style of play. I mean I'd love to see how he'd react to a Bird or Reggie getting in his head w/ the trash talk and backing it up and making him look foolish, but the speed of the game, the ball movement especially like the Celtics and Lakers they were great in the 80's not just because they had great players, they both shared the spotlight and got every team member involved for the over all goal of winning games. It wasn't just about themselves back then. it was a real "team" sport and effort. Also, I would pay money to see Lebron play against the bad boy pistons. Laimbeer would just beat the crap out of him and go on with his day. Floppin' back in those days wasn't really tolerated, you were treated like a B**** if you were that guy. Yeah I think Lebron wouldn't be Lebron in that era.. But, after a few years he'd either wash out or have to toughen up a lot. As for Bird Trash talking and backing it up, yeah that does take big cajones, but he wasn't doing that to chumps or guys w/ names no one really remembers or cared to learn.. he was doing that to future hall of famers. As for the hawks celebrating Bird, those three got fined and pretty much "fronted" by the coach in front of the team, by replaying that celebration over and over. And yeah if we had internet back then, that would have been everywhere.
I respectfully disagree, Once a player thrown into a fire (i.e physicality or pressure) they either sink or swim. I believe he has shown that or the course of his career with criticism he has received (maybe some self-inflicted) he is more than mentally tough to play this game. If you debate if he is physically tough enough, there's really nothin i can say because I feel that's more of a personal opinion of what you think of a guy.
@@itsshadbih i agree with you, you can't say great players from the 80's can play any era, then say the great ones now can't play in the 80's.???!!!. because if they were transported to the 80's they would have learned how to play that type of basketball growing up, is it different now big time but the great ones would adjust
Well said!! Yes, any superstar can play in any era!! Dennis Rodman is just a hater... Bird humiliated him (Larry didn't discriminate, he did it to everyone lol) throughout his career!! Back in the 80s, Rodman said if bird was black, he'd just be average!! Of course, this blew up but Bird said he don't care and squashed it from his end. After he retired, I saw Rodman on a talk show trying to explain why he talked publicly about Bird and race. He said he's from the hood and basically didn't know better. You could see he looked embarrassed!! So NOW after 30yrs, he's still salty!! 😂 oh and the Dr. J fight!! Bird kept telling him each of their scores throughout the game... when it got to 34- 6, Bird told Dr. J he should retire... then all hell broke loose😂😂😂
@@itsshadbih Yes, I couldn't agree more with it being sad...i personally try to ignore those who perpetuate negativity!!! By Rodman singling out the Legend, just makes him look bitter. I'm sure the "Bird takes Rodman to school" videos are blowing up 🤣🤣 Great video too btw!!👍💯
Bird had 38 and Doc had 6. He trash talked Doc during the game, telling him he needed to retire! What they didn't show in this clip was Bird and Doc choking each other and both teams fighting.
He was telling the entire opposing team and coach exactly what the play was going to be and then the Celtics ran the play and Bird dropped a bucket, just like he told them.
Bird playing against rodman in regular season averaged 24.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.9 assists. in playoffs Bird averaged 20.9 points, 9.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists. rodman's stats against Bird regular season 10.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists, post season 6.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.7 assists guess that says it all. No wonder Rodman's jealous
As I recall, the Atlanta hawks could be considered the top of the also-rans in the east. When they made the playoffs they tended to seed low and go out early.
To be clear, they were a fine team. But at the time it was difficult for them to acquire that destructive third option that a serious championship contender has to have in the modern era.
If he tells you what he's going to do then does it, thats facts. If he says he's going to get 40 on your ass then gets it, thats facts. Larry Bird didn't talk shit, he spoke facts.
I've always said the cure for A.D.D, is in society giving me something worth paying attention too. About "effing" time! Funny how in today's times running across authentic expression feels like winning the lottery. When you see it, you don't even care about subject.
@itsshadbih there's a video somewhere where he tells it, but I'm not sure where. He basically said that Bird was so in his head that he began to doubt he should even be in the league, and maybe he should kill himself. He ended up with i believe a 9 year career but wasn't anything special. That's why I believe if Larry was in today's league he wouldn't be able to finish a game from all the fights he'd start just bc today's players wouldn't be able to handle it. I mean, they're beginning to play like soccer players with all the flopping and crying 🤣 Edit: I found an article with his statement. "I'm starting to think while we're running back down: 'Maybe I shouldn't play basketball, maybe I'm not that good... Maybe I should have been a brick mason? You know, like, what the hell am I doing here? I can't go on now...' If this guy scores another bucket, I'm thinking of suicide. I really was [thinking that]."
@@itsshadbih during the time in the video. When the players were celebrating bird. The hawks were a perennial playoff team. Search Dominique/Bird playoff duel
The game you're talking about where the opposing team was coming apart on the bench was a result of Larry Bird being so incredibly hot, that no matter what he did, he could not miss or make a mistake... Nobody on that opposing team could do anything to stop him or even slow him down,,,, every time they put another man on him, it only got worse.... It was a historical display that few players have ever been able to pull off.... and that's why people are still talking about it and watching in disbelief 40 YEARS LATER!!!
LB was not being racist twards white players. He believed :at that time the best plauers wete black"....and when a white player on him was disrespectful when he was demolishing the best in the league.
Bird can NOT play in today's fluffy, soft ass league. He would be ejected in the first few minutes. He would get the T for mocking people, he would get sent to the locker room for hands on play. Today's players can't play back when. They're too soft.
Lebrick wouldn’t have made it one year in the 80’s. You can only cry so much, they’d never let him whine that much in the 80’s. Magic could. Jordan could. Barkley could. KG prob could. Not Lebron

Respect to Larry. 🐐🐐 behavior.
Larry Bird did Larry bird before anybody else did Larry Bird…. That’s why he’s.
LARRY LEGEND
💪💪
Youre right, Larrys trash talk was one of his strategies to demoralize and get other players off their game - its an old trick but very effective on most players if done right, once you get someone angry or make them feel like they have no way to stop you it lowers the effectiveness of their game. Larry wasnt fast and couldnt jump very high but he found ways to more than make up for those deficiencies.
With Larry the legend Bird's vicious trash talking, he will not survive today's NBA,he will always be ejected
Yea, trash talkin is frowned upon now.
@@itsshadbih boho
You think itd be loud enough fr the refs to hear?
Larry is the G.O.A.T of trash talkers. 🏀
Definitely walked it like he talked it.
That's the new hip thing to say about Bird. Personally I just think he's the 🐐
That was individual points Bird was talking about against Dr J. Bird told him he should retire amongst you can't guard me and stuff like that. They both got ejected for the first and only time in their career shortly after the clip ended.
Oh ok, must have been some fight to get ejected because I know they usually let a couple fists be thrown back in the 80s.
Actually Larry got ejected another time with Laimbeer when he threw the ball at Laimbeer's head.
@@itsshadbih THere is a VERY FAMOUS photo of them both in a choke hold.
@@eddiehaskell1957 Thanks Eddie, I forgot about that. Anytime Bill got a dose of justice I was a happy camper. I see Larry in my head, laying there punching him, good times. Appreciate the correction of info 👊.
@@itsshadbih Yes sir, little messed up how it all played out. Barkley says he was breaking it up. You should check it out sometime.
The best trash talking video is why NBA players were terrified of Larry Bird. Stories from Shawn Kemp, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Kareem Gary Payton, etc. Awesome video. Should check it out. Great reaction. Thank you. SUBSCRIBED
Preciate it bro!
I just joined, that was a magnificent statement, any great player could play in any era !
Absolute facts💯
15:10 the Dr. J/Bird 38 to 6 was: Bird kept saying two things to Dr. J - his points vs the Dr.'s. As the game went on, about 38 to 6 it got heated. Thank you for the video and much love to the channel.
Thanks bro, preciate the comment!
I grew up near Boston in the 80's and got to see one game at the old Garden in 1986, for my 12th birthday. Then ML Carr, who's in this video, came to my high school to do an anti-drug presentation. I was picked out of the audience to get rebounds for him! I LOVED the Celtics.
Thats dope!
🔥🔥 story!
He actually said he knew that fact and knew he had to train twice as hard to
excel. He was right.
I remember him referencing that Larry would be average, I think Isiah Thomas said something like that too. Think it was the bad boy pistons documentary.
Rodman isn't racist lol. Most if his friends are white. He literally lived with a white family when he was in college
Nothing but nylon should be graved on Larry's tombstone
I like this🔥🔥. Goin out the same you came in.
"Nuts made of Vibranium!"......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
You're right .. a great player would be great in any era. They are timeless talents. 👍
Yessir bro💪
Atlanta was a playoff team at the time Bird got 60 I watch this game back in the day
You've never heard so many legends talking about Rodman the way they all do about Larry and you never will.
There's a whole video on Julius and Larry's fight, lol.
If rodman were playing today, hed be playing in the lgbtq rumpus room. Oh, I forgot, hes already on the all star team there.
🤣
Larry got 60 points that game. Everyone was in shock.!!!
I noticed, Hawks bench going crazy!
The Hawks actually finished the season 50-32 the year they were laughing about Bird scoring 60
Yes that Atlanta game with the bench celebration was Larrys 60 point game, Larry hit every shot he put up but one I think
38 to 6 was their personal point count in that game.
Adaptation is the key, and all great players from any era could adapt to today's game.
Facts bro💯
Sad its gotta be like that, maybe its just his pride that won't let him accept it.
@@itsshadbih Yes, I couldn't agree more with it being sad...i personally try to ignore those who perpetuate negativity!!! By Rodman singling out the Legend, just makes him look bitter. I'm sure the "Bird takes Rodman to school" videos are blowing up 🤣🤣
Great video too btw!!👍💯
Bird had 38 and Doc had 6. He trash talked Doc during the game, telling him he needed to retire! What they didn't show in this clip was Bird and Doc choking each other and both teams fighting.
That game against Atlanta Bird set the Celtics scoring record with 60 points!
🔥🔥🔥
He was telling the entire opposing team and coach exactly what the play was going to be and then the Celtics ran the play and Bird dropped a bucket, just like he told them.
Great reaction 👍
Preciate the comment bro!
38-6 was talking about how many points Larry had in the game vs what Doc had
Rodman said "Bird made me look stupid". So where would Rodman play today? Local YMCA??
Larry never shook hands with the best players. Especially rookies. That softened later with those he respected, but you were gonna earn it
I respect that, I feel every great player respects other great players to a certain extent because they know the work it took to get there
MJ Kobe bryant and Larry bird would tell you the play or the shot there gonna take and nobody can stop them nobody.
I think all the greats did it to some extent.
The Hawks are always in the playoffs in this era
And aint doin nothin!
Respect bro, preciate your comment!
it was his points in the game against Dr J
👌👌
Larry would do that, tell the opponent what the play is and dare them to stop him, for self motivation. It was fun!
I never would have thought that Larry Bird was a "racist" towards white players.
Doc was saying Coach fined them for celebrating Bird
Oh 👌👌
The show for Magic 38,21,15,5stealsandtwo blocked shots
Larry Bird was so savage at trash talking that he made a rookie named Jason Williams actually contemplate suicide after his 2nd game in the NBA.
Damn, that's a welcome to the NBA moment for you!
I mean, they're beginning to play like soccer players with all the flopping and crying 🤣
Edit: I found an article with his statement.
I like the video but you need to turn the volume up on the screen. Thx
I gotcha bro, preciate your comment!
Larry would also throw hands.
The Hawks were a perennial playoff team during that time. Dominique Wilkins was in the MVP race during his years in Atlanta.
During this season, on the video?
@@itsshadbih during the time in the video. When the players were celebrating bird. The hawks were a perennial playoff team. Search Dominique/Bird playoff duel
Anyone can talk ish, but the greats BACK it up!
💪💪
Best small forward ever
If I recall correctly the team fined those 3 players $3.000 each for celebrating.
Oh ok!
Birds rookie year, he trashed Pete Maravich bad, it was the last game he played
Maravich was a G.O.A.T, I think that was more so due too injuries!
Its a wrap when great players are hot!
nice reaction, cheers.
Thank bro, preciate ur comment!
@@itsshadbih nae worries mucker - keep up the good work

lmao@ "Vibranium"
The more Larry trash talked to you, the better you were as a contender.
✊✊
The Hawks weren't good that season when Bird hit 60. More losses than wins.
Ok makes sense!
Larry had to tell opposing coaches how insulted he was because they put a white dude on him many times. deadass.
38 to 6 was bird score against Dr. J score
Damn!
The Dr.J story ends with hand being thrown., nothing big for that era of basketball.
I like that!
The volume is too low on the vidz bro.
Yea that's my bad bro.

Today? With the euro step, come on man

Today with all that carrying and 4 5 6 step layups?
Larry the goatus saurus rex full stop!...
How do you mix up disrespect with greatness?
If you touch LeBron he cries to the refs...
You got the video your showing on mute or low.
Yea the volume fluctuates throughout the video, that's my error bro.
LB was not being racist twards white players. He believed :at that time the best plauers wete black"....and when a white player on him was disrespectful when he was demolishing the best in the league.
GOAT
🐐🐐🐐
Bird can NOT play in today's fluffy, soft ass league. He would be ejected in the first few minutes. He would get the T for mocking people, he would get sent to the locker room for hands on play. Today's players can't play back when. They're too soft.
Disagree
@@itsshadbih what do you disagree with? The fighting spirit of Legend or the softness of today's players?
Lebrick wouldn’t have made it one year in the 80’s. You can only cry so much, they’d never let him whine that much in the 80’s. Magic could. Jordan could. Barkley could. KG prob could. Not Lebron
