Just wondering your opinion, do you think a abu Garcia 5500c3 with a power handle ? Do you think it would do the job for ocean fluke jigging ? I’m looking at a pen squall 15 too just wanted your 2 cents
Went fishing off a charter for fluke one day and between me and my brother and dad we must have caught a total 70 sea robins. It got to the point where we could tell it was a robin when we hooked into it by the way it fought. 😂
Kyle The Bass Attacker yeah. It sucks. It’s all good though. It happens, I saw it, I filmed it, I fought it, and I touched it. Lol next time we’ll have a net 😆🤙🏼
MAY i INQUIRE WHEREABOUTS YOU LAUNCHED,,, OR IT THAT SUPPOSED TO BE KEPT SECRET idk,,,,,, WERE THERE PERMITS AVAILABLE ON A DAILY BASIS, i AM ASSUMING THAT YOU ARE SOUTH SHORE BASED ANYWAY
haven't been out yet this year. I would bring some clams, and high low rigs with 2-4 oz weights (depending on the current). I like a medium heavy 6'4" + rod, just incase a fluke or sea bass hit, I have enough to bring it in. A medium action rod will make the porgy and sea robins feel great! Incase there are blues or bunker, bring out some deadly dicks on a heavier action spinning rod with leaders (so the blues dont bite the bait off the line). and sunblock and a camera! Good luck!
Thanks bud! Luckily, we caught fluke that were well over the 19 inch limit! And to us, who don't fish for fluke...ever...a 20+ inch fluke is huge! Thanks!!
"grab the line, rip it in"...just about the worst 2 lines of advice when landing fluke lol
worst advice I've ever heard

I believe we were using either fresh bunker chunk or snapper chunks.

I wouldn't be kissing any Sea Robins. I'm pretty sure they're poisonous.
Sea robins are junk
Some people say they’re good eating. Idk about that...I’m allergic to fish..
